Actually rainy weather in Chongqing wasn't that bad, it alleviates the heatwave of summer. Chongqing is known for its extreme high temperature in Summer, known as one of the ‘4 Stoves’ of China along the Yangtz River. The other three are Wuhan, Nanjing, and Changsha/Nanchang (Disputed).
It's amazing how North America prices of eating is so expensive and you can go to China and they have so many different eateries and at an affordable prices. Loving these China vlogs!!! Keep them coming!!!
Welcome back to China. Apart from the most recommended attractions in Chongqing, you can consider the Diaoyu City ruins. Although it is far from the city, it is a military fortress that blocked the Mongolian army for 36 years and has strong historical value.
The Diaoyucheng (simplified Chinese: 钓鱼城; traditional Chinese: 釣魚城; pinyin: Diàoyúchéng), or Diaoyu Fortress, is a fortress located on the Diaoyu Mountain in Hechuan District, Chongqing, across the Jialing River from the city center of Hechuan. It is known for its resistance to the Mongol armies in the latter half of the Song dynasty.

Hey Emeka, I love your videos! One cultural difference I noticed is that in China usually we do not call "downtown" area but "city center", because most cities develop from the a place near the center and spread to the surrounding. By "center" we also mean people are usually centered at this place.

Don't eat too spicy in ChongQin, or you might end up in hotel bathroom for another day. HongKong is the financial district so expensive that local HK shop and eat in near city like ShenZhen for weekend getaway. Glad you are not going to stay in HK for long.

Here some explanations about the desserts you ordered in Master Bao's store.
First, the one you pointed at 17:25 is a cream puff but you ordered a muffin cake instead so there is no white cream in it as the picture shown. There might be a misunderstanding between you and the customer who confirmed your guess. It's a good chance for you to try more different desserts in Master Bao's store.
Second, the cake you don't like contains pork floss，seaweed and mayonnaise so that it taste salty and fishy. You would feel weird because the cake is not the common dessert in western countries which taste sweet, but most Chinese people do love this kind of salty dessert.

今天去中国的外国人比十年前、二十年前、甚至三十年前还要少，这是外国人造成的还是中国造成的？我有我的答案，当然我不怪中国老百姓。其他亚洲国家，包括同样是共产党国家的越南，外国游客比中国多多了。其实，中国的旅游资源远比中国周围的许多国家丰富有趣，人文、古迹、自然景观，要什么有什么，现在却弄到外国人不愿意来，这是上面人的无能和愚昧给中国人民带来的悲哀和损失。

1、首先我也赞同你“中国的旅游资源远比中国周围的许多国家丰富有趣”这个观点，中国领土面积大，地形地貌丰富，所以旅游资源真的很丰富多彩；
2、你说“今天去中国的外国人比十年前、二十年前、甚至三十年前还要少”，这就不真实了，请看一下数据：
二十年前即2004年，2003年非典，所以入境人数下滑很大，但是2004年，我国入境旅游市场不但全面恢复到历史最好水平，而且有新的突破性大发展，全年入境旅游人数首次突破1亿人次，入境旅游人数中，外国人1693．25万人次（当然这不包含港澳台同胞，他们并不是外国人）；
十年前即2014年，入境旅游人数中，外国人2636.08万人次；
至于现在时期，2024年一季度，入境游显露出强劲的复苏势头。4月18日，国家移民管理局数据显示，一季度外国人来华数量较2023年同期增长超3倍。
而2023年入境旅游人数中外国人1378万人次，但是因为2019年12月新冠肺炎爆发~2023年1月8日国家解除对新型冠状病毒感染采取的《中华人民共和国传染病防治法》规定的甲类传染病预防控制措施，这段算是新冠期间，这期间的数据当然是严重下滑的，甚至比不上前二十年1693．25万人次。但你总不能抛开客观，把新冠放开的第一年，这种特殊年份与正常环境下的年份作对比吧（如果你不考虑客观只认定自己认为的，那么我收集这一堆数据了就真的是浪费了，或许我一开始就不该回复你这条评论）？
所以不妨取新冠前的正常年即2018年来对比如何？而2018年全年入境游客中，外国人3054万人次，这个正常年份明显远远超过十年、二十年前的1693．25万人次、2636.08万人次。
3、你还说“同样是共产党国家的越南，外国游客比中国多多了”，如果你肯谷歌或百度一下，就知道这也是完全错误的。
2023年，越南接待国际游客达到1260万人次，是2022年的3.4倍，远超800万人次的目标；而作为新冠发展的中心，就算只是新冠刚放开的第一年2023年，中国入境旅游人数中外国人也有1378万人次，1378万＞1260万，中国接待国际游客明显多于越南，这个你能理解吧？
2018年，越南的国际入境人数达到1550万，中国的外国人入境游客3054万人次（依然这不包含港澳台同胞，他们并不是外国人），这个数据你也总不能说“越南外国游客比中国多多了”吧？
而且，2018年，越南的国际入境人数中，中国旅客就占了496.6万人次，排名第一；南韩和日本旅客分别为348.5万人次和82.7万人次，分居第2和第3，你能看出来都是周边国家占比大吧？而周边国家中，欧美阵营的南韩和日本跟中国的外交、政治关系一直不稳定，所以肯定会影响该国游客来中国旅游的，换言之，如果我们周边国家都是盟友阵营的国家，那么他们来中国的游客人数必定不止这个数目；对了，你总不会把南韩和日本不是盟友阵营国家怪责在上面和我国的政治体制身上吧？
4、关于影响外国游客来华的因素，我也谈一下我的观点：
a、如果你经常浏览国外社区和新闻，你一定就能知道以欧美为首的国家一直对中国进行联合敌对、舆论抹黑、妖魔化，抹黑到什么地步呢？这样说吧，今年2024年了，还有一大群外国旅客在各种vlog旅游视频中，对现实的中国跟他们欧美媒体报道的中国完全不一样感到大惊小怪一惊一乍。所以欧美媒体政客舆论抹黑对来中国旅游的旅客肯定是影响巨大的！
b、同样作为共产党国家的越南，并没有受到欧美倾尽全力的各种打压、经济制裁、舆论抹黑，它是倾向欧美阵营的，所以你拿它来对比，而且是闭着眼睛忽略客观事实地有偏颇对比，是真的令人觉得可笑；
c、中国能在建国70年从一穷二白发展到如今这个阶段，是真的很难得，我们可是有着14亿人，看看另一个同样是14亿的人口大国印度吧，他们发展得怎么样？如果我们内在发展都没搞好，说什么外客来游都是虚妄，因为本身经济发展不起来，就没有余力发展旅游基础建设，就没有良好的旅游环境，就不会有外国游客来游玩！所以你说上面或者我们的政治制度无能和愚昧，我会打个问号，或许他们也有这个各种缺点和不足，但是总体来说，优大于劣，合适和大家都发展得好才是最重要的，我感到满意，希望我们都变得越来越好；
d、最近几年，中国越来越多城市实施144小时过境免签政策、增加互免签证，并且我们国家在优化入境支付便利、优化加强酒店对外招待、推动重点旅游场所完善多语种标识及导览设施，如果你有看TH-cam和Tik Tok，就能知道入境游客的体验肉眼可见在提升；
以上，所以你没什么好悲哀和损失的。
