I assumed that when he said specimens, he meant humans, since in the last video he views them as lower than himself, in a way. This particular story line is so intriguing and heartbreaking at the same time.
In my ending, I imagine the potion going wrong on her and when he visits her next time, she died. Instead of extending her life, it ate her life away more quicker then usual. Him, as a necromancer, tries to resurrect her, but he can't find or summon her soul back, is out of reach. He tries to make dolls o her, but they are never ever enough, until the point he can't take it anymore and tries to reunite with her once more, not by bringing her back, but going to where she is....
I am SO SAD. I- I FEEL LIKE, THE LISTENER STILL LOVES HIM, AND IT HURTS THEM HOW FAR INTO THE DARK SIDE HE'S GOING JUST TO "SPEND AN ETERNITY" TOGETHER, AND ITS HURTS EVEN MORE THAT THEY KNOW THEY CAN'T DO SHT AGAINST HIM. AAAAH I LOVE THIS SO MUCH.

The listener does hear this words that tell he's desperate searching for a way they'll be always together, doing things that certainly can't feel good in a moral way ... Must be heart-crushing. Also, there's the thing that you don't just stop loving someone when they hurt you. That's why it hurts so much.
