Glad that you and your family (and bees) are doing ok after Helena ! The Day After ! LOL We have a saying about water flowing over a road (turn around, don't drown) as it only takes a few inches of flowing water to push many vehicles off of a road and down the stream !
Reminds you mother nature isn't something to be played with or taken for granted. Good to see you and your bees are ok. I've got a friend in Tampa that rode it out on the beach. Water flooded their first story aparments. I don't believe the nectar flow ever really stopped around here this year. Still pulling and they are heavy! Stay dry friend🐝
I just drove of to North Carolina today for work and the interstate on the way here looked like a war zone. Several people still without power and cell service. The weather man says another storm is on the way.
I agree I watch him all the time! It was funny though I played it for my wife not telling her watching the water over flowing and then Ryan cuts in and she said what just happened. I just laughed and told her that I went out of your channel 3 times before I realized you had plugged into your video. 😂 Great stuff love your videos learn something every time.
Tell her I am sorry for fooling her. Maybe it will turn more people on to his channel. He is our goto for big weather events. I did put a QR code to his channel in the upper right. :-)
I had just watched Ryan's update on 10\4 and thought I hit the back button. I guess YT suggested Ryan to me last year because I watch you videos. Going to share you videos so family and friends will see the overflow I told them about!
Awesome! That is where your honey came from. Keep following the channel and you can learn to make your own honey in your backyard. This video was filmed at the farm.
I see you watch Ryan Hall y'all. It's a wonder those bees didn't come in force with the weather and no smoke. Glad your bees are ok and of course y'all are ok as well.
I watched 11+ hours of Ryan yesterday. He has bee a great resource for us for years. He is much better that the weather channel or local news when there is a huge weather event.
I know the farmer said yes to another bee yard and I know the benefits of having a bee farm on a farm.. but out of curiosity Has the farmer seen a significant improvement to his farm or the yield? Soon you will be up to 100 plus colonies and just think after a few short years you are well on your way to the 50 mark if you haven't hit it yet .. HAHAHAHA , but all in all I am glad you all are safe down there and the bees made it through
The new bee yard will be on a different property 12 miles away. As for the farms production, well, the farmer was removing peaches from the trees this spring because so many blooms were pollinated the trees couldn't support the number of peaches. All in all I currently have 53 colonies between the two bee yards and will have 73 after the Lazy River yard opens in the spring. Pollination is going through the roof in my area :-)
@@BugFarmerBees HAHAHAH that is Awesome !!!! That is a wonderful thing to hear. Thanks for sharing that. Soon you will need to hire crews and semi trucks and warehouse buildings with how fast you are growing !
All of the hives in the farm yard are 10 frame hives. At the home yard they are a mix between 8 and 10 frame set ups. I think you may be talking about the bee barns . They are heavily insulated 8 frame double deeps. Here is a vide explaining the bee barn and where I got the idea: th-cam.com/video/j3uxw3oT-zc/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
You can get complete hive sets for relatively low cost online. check Bee Castle on Amazon for some great quality starter kits. a.co/d/cX8oDMV. If you want to catch a swarm this spring to populate the hive look at @MikeBarryBees channel. He has a great swarm trap that seems to work very well. Welcome to the hobby. Be careful though, it's very addictive :-)
I am so glad to see you and the bees are doing well after that storm. Thanks for the update.
I was worried hives would blow over but was luck that nothing blew over :-)

Yep. That is exactly why I turned around. :-)
Glad to see everything‘s OK
Thanks
Trơi mưa nhiều nước khắp mọi nơi, chỗ thị ngập lụt, chỗ thì lở núi rất nguy hiểm.❤

Thanks for the update was very worried for you guys
Thanks for thinking of us Tammy.
so glad you survived the Hurricane. The pictures I saw on my local news (Bucks County , PA) looked real bad.
We were fortunate here. Many people had it much worse.
Glad you all were safe and made out okay.
One word. Lucky.
Glad everything worked out BG!
Thanks. Much appreciated.
10 inches of rain? That's a fine summer's day in England.
You must have better drainage in the UK. :-). Thanks for stopping in and dropping a few comments. I really appreciate you. Take acre.
Glad to see you and your bees are okay

just bought some of your honey at Southernbelle Farms, it’s absolutely delicious!! 🍯 thank you!

Amazing shot of a few 100 bees fanning inside a hive at 15:44 min.
Never seen that before
That was unexpected. I have never seen tat either.
@@BugFarmerBees . I've seen thousands of bee videos .. . But it's the best place to get air circulating.
Bees fan to help dry out the water inside the hive and to help with circulation

Ryan Hall is awesome. We watched both live streams yesterday. :-)
I’m glad everything went well for you. lol I restarted this 3 time wondering why Ryan kept cutting in. I watched him for an hour last night lol.

Awesome. Thank you so much for thinking of us.
I wondered who was in your trunk. Then I realised it was just a glove.
The body-less boogieman.
I noticed your respirator hanging in your truck put it in a zip lock bag the filters will last longer
Thanks for the tip. I will do it first thing tomorrow.
👍
Thanks for stopping in Brian.
If there is a problem with uploading two videos on Friday, upload the second on Saturday.
I already rescheduled it for Friday. It is kind of a 2 part video.
Noticed when you open the top were they all fanning and if so was it to drying the frames ?
I think that is exactly what they were doing. The week before I gave them 2 gallons of syrup.
I believe they were. The week before I gave them 2 gallons of syrup.
Approximately how many hives do you have?
Your bees look cool but least they ain't floating on water had to relocate mine and got flooded here in Florida but there okay
THat's horrible. I am glad you got them relocated. I suspect a lot of beekeepers between Florida and the Carolinas lost everything.
@@BugFarmerBees no lost but lot rain hit my cousin lives in chieflan Florida they got it bad
Interesting hive setup. What type of hive do you have in the beeyard- looks like 8 frame on top of 10 frame

@@BugFarmerBees thanks, i’ll watch after the race.
you just need a flying vehicle to get there lol
A DeLorean perhaps :-)
How far do you live from Atlanta?
Just outside in the metro area.
@@BugFarmerBees good to hear it all is good with you and your family and the bees
I have a daughter that works in Atlanta
Never boring
I wanna buy a hive or catch one

It's pronounced [ hel•LEN ]. [ hel•LEEN ] means a person from Greece.
Good to know.
Are you anywhere near that chemical plant that exploded?
It was a couple of counties over and I know exactly where it is.
@@BugFarmerBees Hope you and the bees are safe.
