7:42 “El Mariachi” isn’t a place, a mariachi is member of a small band of musicians who play a genre of Mexican music, characterized by trumpets, guitars, and violins!! (vocals too). It’s a band playing traditional Mexican music! :) It originally came from the movie “El Mariachi” which was about a guy who sang romance but nobody liked that about him-but he never cared and continued to sing romance wherever he went and whenever he sang. In Airplane Pt. 2 I think it compares that to the old days of BTS and how they continued to sing their songs wherever they went and didn’t care that people didn’t like them or their songs. In the lyrics it says “Wherever in the world, I will sing” which connects that they won’t care and don’t care about who dislikes their music. That they will continue to share their music and passion with the world. Similar as “El Mariachi”, BTS started as a group of young passionate artists who only wanted to rap, sing and perform for their audience. They found themselves subjected to assaults that they needed to defend, and they were confused as to why people were trying to bring them down most of the time. The movie was a low budget film of approximately $7k. Even with its low budget, it turned to be successful and it was recognized by the Guinness World Records as the lowest-budgeted film ever to gross $1M at the box office. This is similar to BigHit history as they started poor and had very limited recourses to record or film mvs, set up concerts, purchase etc; but despite that, Hitman Bang was able to work with the boys to produce music, media, and stage productions that went on to be very successful and win world records! So the movie has similarities to BTS/BH story and that’s why they included it on the song. This is also why Airplane Pt 2 has a Latin American pop feel.
