Thanks ladies 👍🏼. Always great information , I have several silky saws did not know all of them cannot be hand sharpened, I do have a brochure and now I know that should have . I should go get one great video. 🙂
Thank you for a bunch of great videos. You are both very knowledgeable and a lot of this information is really not easily accessible or available. Maybe it’s the language barrier? Regardless, I just subscribed because a lot of questions I’ve had about my many silky saws have been answered in the few videos I’ve watched. I had no idea that my hayuchi had multiple blade options. I also learned about the what the heck a fox hook is and why I need that 🙂. The more close up cutting demos you can do the better is my one bit of feedback I’d have for your channel at this point. 🦊
Hi Ben, thank you, we are glad you enjoy our videos and have answered a lot of your questions! We try to keep our videos as informative as possible, and also a little entertaining lol. Thank you for the tip, we are trying to incorporate more cutting demos, for everyone to get a better idea on how they work and cut. 😊 Shenae, thank you for subscribing
Thanks Ladies great info. I have the big yellow saw but its too heavy for my Apprentice Lilly, we usually use it for cutting palm fruit from Macharthers, foxy's, and golden canes. which blade would you recommend for them ? Kevin.
Hi Kevin, thanks for your comment! Palms are very fiberous, so a small to medium size Mirai Me tooth would be best. If weight is a issue, Lilly may prefer a Gomboy, they come in 4 lengths, 210, 240, 270 and 300. Or my favourite for cutting those types of Palms is a fixed saw called a Gomtaro, but in a fine tooth. That one also comes in 4 blade lengths, and is very easy to use, the handle is like a pistol grip and makes it super comfortable to use all day. I tend to give too much info, so I'll leave it there, but if you would like to know anything else please let me know, Nita 😄
uk7769 step away from the Silky with the WD, 😆 that will cause the blade to get spot rust. Use lanolin lubricant or camilla oil is good too. I hope this helps, Nita
A real silky supporter. "I'm not going to say what they are coated with, they can work that out on their own" Thank you for the review.

Thank you!! We love it when we can help with information people may not have known.
Thank you for the great video. Could you recommend a blade for cutting green palm fronds?
Hi, thanks for your message! Are you referring to a Pole saw or handsaw? 😃

Who knew a vid on pruning saws would be so cute/sexy?
Pole saws. I'd find a use for one. That big old wattle is still waiting to be trimmed down...
We love this one, thats why we picked it first to talk about!
Can you spritz the blade with WD-40 after each use to preserve the blade or no?

At what age do girls become women and stop giggling at the end of every sentence?
They would be great candidates for being U.S. Vice presidents.
