Thanks a million for posting this. I have been so intriguingly interested in the work that these guys have done, as well as also trying to work through and make sense of this new transitioning or shift within these different theoretical epochs we are oftentimes at odds with (i.e Moving on from the Postmodern thoughts/ideals/concepts/tropes/notions, and making sense in understanding these new trends that have appeared and become ever more apparent within the past 20 years or so). I think "Metamodernism", in its formulation, conception, implications, and current understandings (as we know them so far at least) could very well be the defining epoch amongst the current many that all aim in trying to understand how best to describe the current trends of the "Post-Postmodernism" concept/movement. Very informative, as well as interesting. Thanks again.
The one lecturer summed it all up when he stated "we really don't know where things are going". These guys are stabbing at the straw, but I don't mind because they are at least thinking and not being indifferent. IMHO, nothing really changes per se , it just changes form and I think this is what they are getting at. They are just speculating as to what forms will re-emerge during this new epoch of Metamodernism.
"A grand narrative that shows that it knows of the problems of past stories" I love this informed largeness that metamodernism describes.
