Hey Chuck, just at the end, that magazine uses “Gogeta 2” to reference Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, rather than Super Gogeta. Makes the statement just that tad funnier and would really fuel the propaganda campaign for Brolitards.
If we are going by the anime and data books then broly would have more trouble against kid buu than gohan buu, since both the anime eng and jap and the databooks state that kid buu is more powerfull than all other buu forms.

If only Z Broly was given the same chance as Super Broly, he'd be an absolute menace. In fact if that happened then I strongly believe he could've been the next god of destruction.
He'd just underestimate Buu and get absorbed like Gohan. Wouldn't make a difference though really since Buu's initial absorption of the Grand Supreme Kai a God of the same race as Zamasu (and therefore presumably of an at least somewhat comparable power level at that point in the time-line of events) actually made him less powerful, that's where we get the fat Buu from. One on one Kid Buu would stomp out pretty much every other DBZ villain that exists he could easily go toe to toe with Beerus and land some good blows, he'd at least do better than Vegeta did after he back handed Bulma and even Vegeta managed to land a few hits that counted on Beerus, meanwhile Vegeta got handled by Kid Buu for the entire fight between he and Buu and Goku didn't do much better. Kid Buu is in my opinion the ultimate DBZ villain he similar to Broly but on another level even from Broly just literally gives zero fucks and as stated in this very video is just looking for something, someone, anything, anyone to kill and or destroy simply because that's just how he is and what he does and nothing will ever be as menacing as that psychotic maniacal laughter. He's pretty much been impossible to top which is why every DragonBall movie since and super is so off the rails and makes no sense with the powerscaling because they're just freestyling at this point the tournament of power made no sense for example base level Goku at that point should have been able to just backhand those two teenaged girls Kale and Caulifla. Come on just because they fused and can go SSJ2 they can fight a super saiyan God? That doesn't even make sense they're female children they wouldn't and couldn't even be close to Goku's level. They made Jiren so ridiculously and unfairly OP just to try to make a villain as menacing and threatening as Kid Buu. Their design is even the same Jiren basically just looks like Kid Buu on steroids with his head tentacle thingy cut off, his aura and Ki blasts being and entire character design being clearly based off of Kid Buu. Not to mention had he not been destroyed by the spirit bomb Buu would also like any other character only continue to become stronger and by the time he encountered someone anywhere near his level like Broly he'd have already leveled up. The only thing I can really say in favor of Broly is that Kid Buu's apparent lack of cognitive ability may serve as an impediment to him utilizing his full power and all of his abilities but then again being the cocky, sadistic, narcissistic asshole that he is Broly would probably like stated before pull a Gohan and fuck around and get himself absorbed. Because how would he know about Buu's abilities? He'd just think it was a basic bitch Ki blast and would try to tank it overestimating his own and underestimating Buu's power level. Vegeta's characterization of Buu as a "freak" and a "trickster" is 100% on point and in my opinion Broly's ego would get him smoked.

Since just because you have a higher multiplier doesn't mean you're going to be stronger if the base you're competing against is greater. To look at it where vegeta had a base of 550ish at birth, they were more like Broly who had a base of 10k at birth and grew from there. (It's also hard to fairly calculate their power since vegeta and goku were also training the u6 saiyans throughout.) Homie, fusion with the Potara is like putting a multiplier on a multiplier. Absolutely they should have been that strong. Especially when you consider I believer at that time U7 had already been through some fighting. And lastly, Buu showed no growth on his own between battles in the series. I never actually finished the Buu saga back when I was really deep into Dragon Ball Z. I think at one point I got frustrated by all the forms and just kinda checked out mentally lol. But dang, now I definitely think a fight between these two would be sick, canonical or not.

For Z Broly it would probably be just offer a rage boost and the ability to breathe in space. For Super Broly, who’s strength seems more tied to his rage, it might increase his power exponentially.

I think it would go the same as the Buff Supreme Kai (i forgot his directional title) fight. A bit of competition before Buu gets annoyed and finds a way to absorb Broly.
Even years ago when not that many people made dbz videos,I never bought that Broly was even weaker than Cell regardless of how much hate Broly would get. I always thought he was around SSJ3 level but if we go by feats and statements,specially if you watch subbed then you understand that Broly is just in another level. Idk the exact quote or if its even available anymore but Koyama said something in recent years about Broly being able to destroy the universe in months. Also Buu may be able to regenerate but Broly pretty much never lost his stamina and releasing Ki even helped him stabilize his Legendary state. I guess 1 thing you could say is that anime Kid Buu maybe was using a very small fraction of his power destroying the Grand Kaio world and could MAYBE 2 or 3 tap the universe 🧐 great vid Chuck
Destroying the kaio world is millions of times universal. Our observable universe is made up of less than 0% mass. The kai planet is entirely made of mass. And that's not even taking into account that the kai world is a upper dimensional plain
I think the speed argument is fair... but if we take into consideration the guides stating that the realms are infinite and thus crossing the boundaries would qualify as infinite speed, there is Goku and Pikkon going from Heaven to Hell in a couple of minutes and then Buu PROBABLY flying towards Supreme Kai planet from Grand Kai planet rather than teleporting in the anime. Something he did in an instant and that -if it's correct- would mean Buu can cross the Grand Kai planet, Heaven and the infinite void outside of the universe bubble to get to the Supreme Kai planet. Which would qualify as infinite speed as well.
I do like Kid Buu over Buuhan because it's fun but hmm... Interesting battle. I think Regen could be an issue sometimes. So Broly beats Manga for sure but Anime he losses unless he gets his God Lore Statements.
Broly says in his first appearance that hes overflowing at one point. Meaning he himself knows he has physical limits. Buu is creation with infinite stanina, if they faught it would forsure be a drawn out fight where broly would fs trie out faster.

I think you're a great powerscaler, but I also don't like how sometimes powerscalers take statements too literally, and we get absurd things like that. Too many semantics and over interpretations leads to very absurd things.
Ageed, he uses statements and quotes too loosely and sometimes he completely misinterprets. Toriyamas is asked if movies are a part of db and he says no, they are not a part of my dragon ball, I'm just a viewer and I look at it like events in different dimension. It was a question if movies are canon. So he took unrelated Toriyama statement about if movies are canon or not and reinterpreted to say "oh it means movies have much higher scaling". I mean yeah some movies have different scaling but that Toriyama quote is unrelated to that. His math here is literally 2+yellow=turn left.
That's a good point. The fight would have eventually happened since broly is cannon. If the z fighters lost to buu, then buu would eventually have an unfortunate encounter with broly at some point.

Good fight would happen between the two. And I think it would go like this for power. Buhan>Broly>Kid buu>other buu’s. Buhan battled against Vegito who is extremely powerful and was about to destroy the universe out of sheer anger. None of the Broly movies had him do a feat like that. Movie characters are NOT stronger than the anime counterparts. People who claim this have no clue how the movies were designed and planned. Most people try to place them between sagas, and then get confused when it doesn’t line up, leading to assumptions. The movies were designed to not reveal any spoilers to the anime, and their release dates were set exactly when they happened to prevent just that. With the exception of one-off tricks, the characters do not have any added forms, power, or status change than they did during the most recently aired anime episode on the day the movie in question was released. Examples: The anime didn’t show Goku to have ssj2 yet when Brolys second coming released, so Goku only had ssj. Fusion reborn was shortly before the anime revealed Gotenks to have ssj3, so he only had ssj, and gohan didn’t have ultimate. As well as both goku and vegeta being dead at the same time. Brolys first movie was before Gohan started fighting in the Cell games, before they revealed that ssj gohan > ssj goku. So in Brolys movie Goku was viewed as the stronger. Bojack took place before Goku and King kai reached Grand Kais planet. So they were still located on the small rock on snake way. Lord slug was before Ssj happened, so it gave 0.5 ssj. Kaioken level in world strongest was x3 or x4 only if I recall. Really, the list goes on with very few exceptions. Broly did NOT destroy the galaxy. What was viewed was a galaxy being shrouded in darkness. But going up in a blast. Funimation dubbing attempts to say it was destroyed, while the original Japanese script of the movie only says the south galaxy is “under siege”. The entire movie took place in the very galaxy people try to claim he wiped out (without even having access to most of his power). The battle happens with a sky filled with stars, showing the galaxy was still there. King Kai literally said Broly was still in the south galaxy, and pointed Goku to the direction. Goku was outright shown to travel to locations Broly has physically been to. And he left. The civilizations were wiped out, but the planets and solar systems were left behind. So if Broly wasn’t even destroying the planets he had set foot on, he definitely didn’t wipe out the galaxy. No matter how you look at it, the entire rest of the movie clashes with the funimation claim he wiped out the Galaxy. But there is far more concrete evidence he did not. It’s also not the first time the narration was off, as one episode narration once claimed namek saga 2nd form frieza was universal.
Broly from the first movie wouldn't stand a chance. He was beaten by the power of friendship and didn't even face Gohan at SSJ2. Yes, he was potentially stronger than Cell, but Buu is simply in another league of power, and if you by the scaling of the second movie, Goku didn't even transform in to SSJ3, which he would have done if Broly was a significant enough threat. (Gohan in this universe is different, but Goku isn't any stronger, since his character arc remains the same). And that's not even touching the fact fat Buu is the weakest Buu, kid Buu is substantially stronger, and super Buu is even stronger than that, and ALL have magical abilities, like absoption, which a character like super Buu would totally abuse against someone like Broly who's merely a brute. So no, Broly does not stand a chance. At most, he can potentially contend with fat Buu.

I do think power and speed wise Broly could take this, but Buuhan is much smarter than Broly. If the fight starts going south for Buuhan, he'd likely try to sneakily absorb him. Broly likes to rampage, and although I know he wasn't the screaming idiot that only screams "KAKAROOOT" like T4S drilled into peoples heads, as he was smart enough to know his father planned on abandoning him mid-fight. He knew he was planning for the Comet to kill him, and the other Z-Fighters (namely Vegeta), while he was fighting them, so what does he do? Crushes the ship so his dad can't get out, throws him into the comet. That being said, Buuhan is much smarter, having the minds of Gohan, and Piccolo inside of him. He'd probably seperate a chunk of himself to lay low until Broly's back is turned or something.
12:16 Just an addendum, I'm pretty sure that "Gogéta 2" actually means Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, not just Super Gogeta or a Super Saiyan 2 Gogeta, as implied by the image used. They refer to Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta as "Sangoku 4" and "Vegeta 4" respectively, but for some reason the fusion between them is "Gogéta 2". Maybe because it's his second time around?
@@Chuck I can try to find something. In these last thirty minutes, I found out two things: Yes, he's named "Gogéta 2" because that's his second time around. More specifically, it's because that's the second state he demonstrated. Majin Buu also has this kind of nomenclature. Issue 539 has Fat Buu as "Magin Bou 1", Evil Buu as "Magin Bou 2", Super Buu as "Magin Bou 3", and it kind of gets chaotic from here. It seems to state "Magin Bou 4" is when he absorbs the appearance and powers of Piccolo, however the image it uses is from Buutenks. "Magin Bou 5" has the image of Buucollo, a description that should be referring to Super Buu, and an implication that this should be talking about Buuhan. To add to the problems, the issue also states that Second Form Frieza (who they use a repeated image of First Form Frieza) is at 50% power and has a power level of sixty million, and that Final Form Frieza, not the buff one, has one-hundred and twenty million power level. Funnily enough, this contradicts an earlier issue of theirs that puts these characters at vastly different power levels, that would be coherent with the Daizenshuu if they weren't missing a zero ever since Goku had his Zenkai after Ginyu (listed as 300,000 instead of 3,000,000 and this goes for every character above him). Regardless, "Gogéta 2" = Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. Of this, I'm certain. The second thing, and something that might interest you more, is this statement about Kid Buu, or "Super Magin Bou", from Issue 539. "C'est la forme originale de Boo, tel qui'il été créé. Mais à cause de sa fusion, il a connu de multiples transformations. Aprés avoir récuperé sa puissance maximum, il au aussi repris sa forme de guerrier monstre parfait. A la fin de la saga, aprés avoir absorbe Son Gohan, Son Goten, Trunks, Piccolo et bien d'autres, il se retrouve avec son physique de départ." which translates to "This is the original form of Boo, as he was created. But because of his repeated act of merging, it has undergone multiple transformations. After recovering his maximum power, he also returned to his perfect monster warrior form. At the end of the saga, after having absorbed Son Gohan, Son Goten, Trunks, Piccolo and many others, he finds himself with his starting physique." I'll see if I find something Gogéta 2 related.
@@Chuck Found some description for Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta! For some other relevant characters as well. Issue 477 - 479 has statements about Gogeta, Goku and Syn/Omega Shenron. 506 has one about Shenron, too. For Gogeta, it says his first appearance was on Movie 13, and for Super Gogeta (SS4) it was on GT. It treats them as the same character, but I'm unsure if it treats them in the same continuity. It seems so. Regardless, it says SS4 Gogeta is the strongest IN ALL OF DRAGON BALL. To make this consistent with Broly's statement, you could say that the statement actually means that Broly would either grow in power to be a tough fight or live to tell that he survived Gogeta (since, you know, time limit). For Syn Shenron (Lyn Shenron), Issue 506 says he is the strongest... of the GT series. Not that helpful, I guess. Unless you say GT and the movies are related, so I guess that could create some scaling. For Goku, apparently there is a statement that confirms that Golden Oozaru is actually Super Saiyan 3 + Oozaru. This solidifies even more those old videos about Super Saiyan 4's multiplier.
Unexpected ending: Majin Buu absorbs Broly, and now it's not a not a question of who will win, but if there will be any mercy granted to our unfortunate souls.
In BOTH movies, Broly was killed by a total amount of power that added up to being less than a Boo saga ssj2 Goku. He doesn’t have what it takes to wipe out any form of Boo.
I think the translation for the anime was conceived incorrectly. Super Buu (Gohan Absorbed) has a higher power level thatnKid Buu but his intelligence makes him more predictable and easier to handle, as for Kid Buu whose power level is lower but his chaotic unpredictability makes him a more dangerous opponent than that of Super Buu. This might be why people keep saying that Kid Buu is the strongest form but mistake it as having the highest power level.
BTW you... forgot that Broly, unlike any other vilain, doesn't decrease or stay at the same powerlevel. He never stops increasing. The more you fight the stronger he gets and the harder you fall.

No, Buu wins. Buu has no problem suiciding to destroy the planet he is on with his opponent because he knows he can reform very quickly in the vacuum of space afterwards. Broly would not beat the SSJ2 Gohan that fought Cell, not when Goku managed to beat Broly having absorbed ki from the other Z fighters - even that buffed Goku would get stomped by Gohan. Buu took SSJ3 Goku (who would one shot Gohan from the Cell saga) past his limits and had him beat if it wasn't for Vegeta and the other allies.
@TheUnderDogUzumaki No, he didn't. 😁 Did Gohan battle Broly in SSJ2? Nope. Was Adult Gohan (pre Mystic/Ultimate) stronger than his teen self as SSJ2? Nope, he was weaker and never even used SSJ2 against Broly either. It's not my fault the writing was bad, lol, but the movies are not canon, the manga, and by extension, the anime series are canon. SSJ2 (teen) Gohan would one shot the Goku that killed Broly after his power boost. A better example is the Bojack Unbound movie. Everyone is getting slapped around until Gohan turns SSJ2, and then it's one shot for everyone, and it's over. That was more faithful to the power scaling.
I think this would be the evil version of Goku vs Luffy or something equally ridiculous. They'd probably vibe and go kill everyone else instead. Buu and Broly have the same idea of fun, after all. And I think Buu would just... Vibe with it.
That supercluster probably contains the same amount of galaxies as a real large supercluster. The universe containing infinite galaxies is very difrent from that the supercluster mist of the show takes place in being infinite.
Buu stomps. Broly was a threat to one universe. Buu was arguably multi-versal. Broly was beaten by an amped Goku in the first movie. Beaten by a Goku, Gohan and Goten team up in Second Coming. And all three of them were only in Super Saiyan 1. And finally, he was beaten by... The god damn ocean in Bio Broly. Meanwhile Buu stood up to Super Saiyan 3 Goku with ease. And it took a spirit bomb with the energy of the whole earth, all the Z fighters and at least part of Namek, on top of a wish from Shenron to finally put Kid Buu down. I don't care about the creator statements. Broly gets stomped.
I agree that buu wins, but How is he multiversal tho? Cuz To be multiversal you need at least to destroy, create or affect 1000 universes which I’ve never seen buu do.
Broly is like the hulk. He would just become more angry and more powerful, and as his Ki is constantly rising he also does not tire. Don't forget he has the ability to reach ssj2 (lssj is only super sayan 1) and 3 and so on. If that happens it is over for Buu.
Honestly I still don’t see Broly winning since In Cannon and non-canon feats are both consistent & inconsistent. We all know Super Saiyan 3 Goku would mudstomp LG OG Broly. Also, any form of Majin Buu can fight forever bcuz their power level does not go down. Unless they suppress it or fight another Majin Buu. Whereas the strongest Majin Buu’ power level goes back up to 100%. As shown with Kid Buu vs Fat Buu. Many fans do not know nor understand how to power scale during this particular arc. Anybody who places Kid Buu above Super Buu with the absorption technique has no idea how to accurately power scale. When it comes to Majin Buu, the context of referring to the Strongest specifically points out to each form of Majin Buu using 100% their own power level. This is why Goku specifically said “He’s on his own now too.” Referring to Kid Buu, as an individual and The Original Majin Buu. His individual power level as a Majin Buu. Goku being Honorable, wanted to fight him on his own. “Goku has never felt a power level as high as Kid Buu, in comparison to each Buu variant of Majin Buu’s power level 100% their own power level. Super Buu resorted to cheating methods, added/ stolen power, just to surpass him. This means Super Buu SSJ3 Gotenks or Base form Gohan absorbed.. Rage feat applies to Kid Buu. The only reason why Kid Buu did not pull of the rage boost/ Universal Dimension breakin feat is bcuz he dominated all who opposed him. He is the only Majin Buu who fought underwhelmingly weak characters as well as Op Ones and dominated them with his power level alone. This true bcuz Goku compared Kid Buu’s Max Power Level to Super Buu Absorption. They are closer than what most realize, even tho Super Buu Absorption, easily scales much higher. It is unknown for Bio Broly. But Saiyan Broly has a limit for how long he vantage out and fight. Especially to warriors who scale around his power level. When fighting any non Majin Buu. A Majin Buu’s power level does not go down and stay down. Unless they suppress themselves. There is an infinity sign on their power level. That Broly just doesn’t possess. Unless u count Bio Broly. Yet his weakness to water, Majin Buu, A highly intelligent fighter easily slept on in ths regard. Majin Buu, Kid Buu, Super Buu, Buff Buu. Thin Buu. The only Majin Buu that does not win is Fat Buu.

He'd just underestimate Buu and get absorbed like Gohan. Wouldn't make a difference though really since Buu's initial absorption of the Grand Supreme Kai a God of the same race as Zamasu (and therefore presumably of an at least somewhat comparable power level at that point in the time-line of events) actually made him less powerful, that's where we get the fat Buu from. One on one Kid Buu would stomp out pretty much every other DBZ villain that exists he could easily go toe to toe with Beerus and land some good blows, he'd at least do better than Vegeta did after he back handed Bulma and even Vegeta managed to land a few hits that counted on Beerus, meanwhile Vegeta got handled by Kid Buu for the entire fight between he and Buu and Goku didn't do much better. Kid Buu is in my opinion the ultimate DBZ villain he similar to Broly but on another level even from Broly just literally gives zero fucks and as stated in this very video is just looking for something, someone, anything, anyone to kill and or destroy simply because that's just how he is and what he does and nothing will ever be as menacing as that psychotic maniacal laughter. He's pretty much been impossible to top which is why every DragonBall movie since and super is so off the rails and makes no sense with the powerscaling because they're just freestyling at this point the tournament of power made no sense for example base level Goku at that point should have been able to just backhand those two teenaged girls Kale and Caulifla. Come on just because they fused and can go SSJ2 they can fight a super saiyan God? That doesn't even make sense they're female children they wouldn't and couldn't even be close to Goku's level. They made Jiren so ridiculously and unfairly OP just to try to make a villain as menacing and threatening as Kid Buu. Their design is even the same Jiren basically just looks like Kid Buu on steroids with his head tentacle thingy cut off, his aura and Ki blasts being and entire character design being clearly based off of Kid Buu. Not to mention had he not been destroyed by the spirit bomb Buu would also like any other character only continue to become stronger and by the time he encountered someone anywhere near his level like Broly he'd have already leveled up. The only thing I can really say in favor of Broly is that Kid Buu's apparent lack of cognitive ability may serve as an impediment to him utilizing his full power and all of his abilities but then again being the cocky, sadistic, narcissistic asshole that he is Broly would probably like stated before pull a Gohan and fuck around and get himself absorbed. Because how would he know about Buu's abilities? He'd just think it was a basic bitch Ki blast and would try to tank it overestimating his own and underestimating Buu's power level. Vegeta's characterization of Buu as a "freak" and a "trickster" is 100% on point and in my opinion Broly's ego would get him smoked.

He wouldn't stand a chance against anyone on that tier, and absorption would be out of the question much like it was with Vegito unless he allows it. Much more anyone with Hakai beats Buu. You also don't grasp Beerus' actual power. Buu would do no different than vegeta. Beerus was absolutely toying with all them, even goku. Just look at him now, no growth yet still is far above both them despite their immense growth since buu.
That isn't at all how Broly is though. He is a passive guy with a temper and especially toward goku due to breaking his mind as a child.Paragus had to actually trigger broly and then controlled him with the necklace/amulet.
You also don't understand the powerscaling of db. Goku shouldn't have been able to base do that. Because their base were similarly high if not higher, that is why simple transformations like ssj 1 and 2 were able to keep up so well with such high multipliers. Since just because you have a higher multiplier doesn't mean you're going to be stronger if the base you're competing against is greater. To look at it where vegeta had a base of 550ish at birth, they were more like Broly who had a base of 10k at birth and grew from there. (It's also hard to fairly calculate their power since vegeta and goku were also training the u6 saiyans throughout.)
Homie, fusion with the Potara is like putting a multiplier on a multiplier. Absolutely they should have been that strong. Especially when you consider I believer at that time U7 had already been through some fighting.

And lastly, Buu showed no growth on his own between battles in the series. What on earth makes you think he would be able to compete with Broly's Zenkai boosts and apetitie for destruction when he gets triggered into a frenzy?
What you said about Buu is precisely Brolys weakness, not Buu's. Buu would toy around but he wouldn't be killed. And unlike Broly when he is risen to anger he tries to finish the job, He also had the intelligence to come up with the idea to absorb the kai when he wasn't able to wear them down enough to finish them.
tl;dr no version of broly beats Kid Buu, as it requires something like Hakai or spirit bomb. absorption if possible heavily depends on what version of broly After 2nd coming it begins becoming less likely. but he would just eventually wear broly down in a battle of endurance regardless of what buffs you give him with his skill set.

Even years ago when not that many people made dbz videos,I never bought that Broly was even weaker than Cell regardless of how much hate Broly would get. I always thought he was around SSJ3 level but if we go by feats and statements,specially if you watch subbed then you understand that Broly is just in another level. Idk the exact quote or if its even available anymore but Koyama said something in recent years about Broly being able to destroy the universe in months. Also Buu may be able to regenerate but Broly pretty much never lost his stamina and releasing Ki even helped him stabilize his Legendary state. I guess 1 thing you could say is that anime Kid Buu maybe was using a very small fraction of his power destroying the Grand Kaio world and could MAYBE 2 or 3 tap the universe 🧐

Destroying the kaio world is millions of times universal. Our observable universe is made up of less than 0% mass. The kai planet is entirely made of mass. And that's not even taking into account that the kai world is a upper dimensional plain
I think the speed argument is fair... but if we take into consideration the guides stating that the realms are infinite and thus crossing the boundaries would qualify as infinite speed, there is Goku and Pikkon going from Heaven to Hell in a couple of minutes and then Buu PROBABLY flying towards Supreme Kai planet from Grand Kai planet rather than teleporting in the anime. Something he did in an instant and that -if it's correct- would mean Buu can cross the Grand Kai planet, Heaven and the infinite void outside of the universe bubble to get to the Supreme Kai planet. Which would qualify as infinite speed as well.

Tbh, super gogeta would wipe the floor with broly, and you missed kid buu's speed feet of dashing to heaven just to find Goku and vegeta. The entire fucking universe
Movie characters are NOT stronger than the anime counterparts.
People who claim this have no clue how the movies were designed and planned.
Most people try to place them between sagas, and then get confused when it doesn’t line up, leading to assumptions.
The movies were designed to not reveal any spoilers to the anime, and their release dates were set exactly when they happened to prevent just that.
With the exception of one-off tricks, the characters do not have any added forms, power, or status change than they did during the most recently aired anime episode on the day the movie in question was released.
Examples:
The anime didn’t show Goku to have ssj2 yet when Brolys second coming released, so Goku only had ssj.
Fusion reborn was shortly before the anime revealed Gotenks to have ssj3, so he only had ssj, and gohan didn’t have ultimate. As well as both goku and vegeta being dead at the same time.
Brolys first movie was before Gohan started fighting in the Cell games, before they revealed that ssj gohan > ssj goku. So in Brolys movie Goku was viewed as the stronger.
Bojack took place before Goku and King kai reached Grand Kais planet. So they were still located on the small rock on snake way.
Lord slug was before Ssj happened, so it gave 0.5 ssj.
Kaioken level in world strongest was x3 or x4 only if I recall.
Really, the list goes on with very few exceptions.
Broly did NOT destroy the galaxy.
What was viewed was a galaxy being shrouded in darkness. But going up in a blast.
Funimation dubbing attempts to say it was destroyed, while the original Japanese script of the movie only says the south galaxy is “under siege”.
The entire movie took place in the very galaxy people try to claim he wiped out (without even having access to most of his power).
The battle happens with a sky filled with stars, showing the galaxy was still there.
King Kai literally said Broly was still in the south galaxy, and pointed Goku to the direction.
Goku was outright shown to travel to locations Broly has physically been to. And he left. The civilizations were wiped out, but the planets and solar systems were left behind.
So if Broly wasn’t even destroying the planets he had set foot on, he definitely didn’t wipe out the galaxy.
No matter how you look at it, the entire rest of the movie clashes with the funimation claim he wiped out the Galaxy. But there is far more concrete evidence he did not.
It’s also not the first time the narration was off, as one episode narration once claimed namek saga 2nd form frieza was universal.

Broly from the first movie wouldn't stand a chance. He was beaten by the power of friendship and didn't even face Gohan at SSJ2. Yes, he was potentially stronger than Cell, but Buu is simply in another league of power, and if you by the scaling of the second movie, Goku didn't even transform in to SSJ3, which he would have done if Broly was a significant enough threat. (Gohan in this universe is different, but Goku isn't any stronger, since his character arc remains the same). And that's not even touching the fact fat Buu is the weakest Buu, kid Buu is substantially stronger, and super Buu is even stronger than that, and ALL have magical abilities, like absoption, which a character like super Buu would totally abuse against someone like Broly who's merely a brute. So no, Broly does not stand a chance. At most, he can potentially contend with fat Buu.
Acutally buu if he were to do one of goku moves and tech quinces he mostly would increase in power as the more he sees kakarot the more mad he will become
I do think power and speed wise Broly could take this, but Buuhan is much smarter than Broly. If the fight starts going south for Buuhan, he'd likely try to sneakily absorb him. Broly likes to rampage, and although I know he wasn't the screaming idiot that only screams "KAKAROOOT" like T4S drilled into peoples heads, as he was smart enough to know his father planned on abandoning him mid-fight. He knew he was planning for the Comet to kill him, and the other Z-Fighters (namely Vegeta), while he was fighting them, so what does he do? Crushes the ship so his dad can't get out, throws him into the comet. That being said, Buuhan is much smarter, having the minds of Gohan, and Piccolo inside of him. He'd probably seperate a chunk of himself to lay low until Broly's back is turned or something.

Just an addendum, I'm pretty sure that "Gogéta 2" actually means Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, not just Super Gogeta or a Super Saiyan 2 Gogeta, as implied by the image used. They refer to Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta as "Sangoku 4" and "Vegeta 4" respectively, but for some reason the fusion between them is "Gogéta 2". Maybe because it's his second time around?

I can try to find something. In these last thirty minutes, I found out two things:
Yes, he's named "Gogéta 2" because that's his second time around. More specifically, it's because that's the second state he demonstrated. Majin Buu also has this kind of nomenclature. Issue 539 has Fat Buu as "Magin Bou 1", Evil Buu as "Magin Bou 2", Super Buu as "Magin Bou 3", and it kind of gets chaotic from here. It seems to state "Magin Bou 4" is when he absorbs the appearance and powers of Piccolo, however the image it uses is from Buutenks. "Magin Bou 5" has the image of Buucollo, a description that should be referring to Super Buu, and an implication that this should be talking about Buuhan. To add to the problems, the issue also states that Second Form Frieza (who they use a repeated image of First Form Frieza) is at 50% power and has a power level of sixty million, and that Final Form Frieza, not the buff one, has one-hundred and twenty million power level. Funnily enough, this contradicts an earlier issue of theirs that puts these characters at vastly different power levels, that would be coherent with the Daizenshuu if they weren't missing a zero ever since Goku had his Zenkai after Ginyu (listed as 300,000 instead of 3,000,000 and this goes for every character above him).
Regardless, "Gogéta 2" = Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. Of this, I'm certain.
The second thing, and something that might interest you more, is this statement about Kid Buu, or "Super Magin Bou", from Issue 539.

Found some description for Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta! For some other relevant characters as well.
Issue 477 - 479 has statements about Gogeta, Goku and Syn/Omega Shenron. 506 has one about Shenron, too.
For Gogeta, it says his first appearance was on Movie 13, and for Super Gogeta (SS4) it was on GT. It treats them as the same character, but I'm unsure if it treats them in the same continuity. It seems so. Regardless, it says SS4 Gogeta is the strongest IN ALL OF DRAGON BALL. To make this consistent with Broly's statement, you could say that the statement actually means that Broly would either grow in power to be a tough fight or live to tell that he survived Gogeta (since, you know, time limit).
For Syn Shenron (Lyn Shenron), Issue 506 says he is the strongest... of the GT series. Not that helpful, I guess. Unless you say GT and the movies are related, so I guess that could create some scaling.
For Goku, apparently there is a statement that confirms that Golden Oozaru is actually Super Saiyan 3 + Oozaru. This solidifies even more those old videos about Super Saiyan 4's multiplier.

I think the translation for the anime was conceived incorrectly. Super Buu (Gohan Absorbed) has a higher power level thatnKid Buu but his intelligence makes him more predictable and easier to handle, as for Kid Buu whose power level is lower but his chaotic unpredictability makes him a more dangerous opponent than that of Super Buu. This might be why people keep saying that Kid Buu is the strongest form but mistake it as having the highest power level.

Broly would not beat the SSJ2 Gohan that fought Cell, not when Goku managed to beat Broly having absorbed ki from the other Z fighters - even that buffed Goku would get stomped by Gohan. Buu took SSJ3 Goku (who would one shot Gohan from the Cell saga) past his limits and had him beat if it wasn't for Vegeta and the other allies.

It's not my fault the writing was bad, lol, but the movies are not canon, the manga, and by extension, the anime series are canon.
SSJ2 (teen) Gohan would one shot the Goku that killed Broly after his power boost. A better example is the Bojack Unbound movie. Everyone is getting slapped around until Gohan turns SSJ2, and then it's one shot for everyone, and it's over. That was more faithful to the power scaling.

Whereas the strongest Majin Buu’ power level goes back up to 100%. As shown with Kid Buu vs Fat Buu.
Many fans do not know nor understand how to power scale during this particular arc. Anybody who places Kid Buu above Super Buu with the absorption technique has no idea how to accurately power scale.
When it comes to Majin Buu, the context of referring to the Strongest specifically points out to each form of Majin Buu using 100% their own power level. This is why Goku specifically said “He’s on his own now too.” Referring to Kid Buu, as an individual and The Original Majin Buu. His individual power level as a Majin Buu. Goku being Honorable, wanted to fight him on his own. “Goku has never felt a power level as high as Kid Buu, in comparison to each Buu variant of Majin Buu’s power level 100% their own power level. This is the context that so many fans casually wish to ignore.
That’s like asking the question who is stronger, Goku or Vegeta? And somebody answers Vegito. That is completely outta context. And everybody knows it. That’s the same thing for Super Buu using the absorption technique. Kid Buu was so Powerful, a lesser version of him..
