It helps that it's a completely safe place to travel solo whether you're a male or female here. No touts or scamsters, no public nuisance or useless men harassing you or staring you down like in other cities. Cheap booze available at every second shop and high on our non veg diet especially beef

Hi Gabe, For some remote places/treks/visits in sikkim, if you find an another foreigner then you can get the permit to go. All you need to do is just go to any trek/trip organiser shop and tell them your plan and they will help you with everything. I really want you to go to the best places of Sikkim and enjoy the beautiful and almost Tibet like state. The shop will help you find a foreigner and also a guide and the best part is they also allow you the freedom and the guide is not like just sticking to you. I have been watching your clips with much intertest and noticed that when you stayed in Khajuraho, that you stayed in the Hotel Isabel Palace. After seeing your clip, I realised that you infact stayed in Room 212. The same room that I stayed in, back in Dec 2022. With the lovely verandah, surrounded with banana trees, the little room off the verandah with lovely designs in the dividing walls and 2 twin beds pushed together. I am really blown away by this. I loved Orchha the most. Please keep up your most interesting journeys. Keep safe. Best wishes, David.

Your camera work always makes sure your viewers are the first to discover what you are seeing by giving them the first view, and then you taking the second view for yourself. You have always done this on your videos. Also, thank for sharing the local cost of meals, taxis, snacks, hotels, and travel items. I may never have an opportunity to visit the places you travel, but by watching your videos, I feel I know something about what it might be like to actually visit or live in each place, including what it must be like to pay for things there, communicate with the locals, order a bowl of soup, and use a bus or taxi. Also, you always seem to find the best bowl of soup in town!

Bhutan is a different ballgame. Rules are very strict about touring Bhutan and it is expensive as one must use govt approved tour companies and there is a minimum amount per day which get expensive very fast.

Unfortunately the overcrowding of any form of transport, frequently to dangerous and uncomfortable levels, is par for the course in most Asian countries as the laws applying to public service vehicles are ignored or, where in the rare instance of a police challenge, a small bribe will suffice.

Darjeeling 1st flash is the best in the world. Just boil the water. Put a tea spoon full of tea leaves. Wait for 4 min and then filter it.. Have it without sugar..

Hi Gabriel, those bus trips are hectic. Wonder what prices are the hotels in the center of the town? It must be more expensive than where you are staying. They need a cable car going up and down that hill, does it remind you of any place you may know?

Sikkim is least populated Indian state.
And do consider making a pit stop at Jaigaon on the border with Bhutan.

@@GabrielTravelerVideos Sikkim is a beautiful state. There are amazing places such as Zero Point, Gurudongmar Lake and NathuLa Pass, but it is difficult to get permits for Non-Indian Citizens. But it is possible to go to other places like Yumthang Valley, Tsomgo Lake, Ravangla(Buddha Park) and Pelling (you get amazing views of Kanchenjunga from Pelling).
