20:58 Telangana is one of the largest producers of Coal in India and exports to many states including Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu for thermal power projects. Maybe that was the reason for the excessive traffic of the goods trains you observed.
Most of the coal is distributed from jarkand and tamil nadu

Interesting fact about HIMSAGAR EXPRESS is that HIM means (HIMALAYA) and SAGAR means Sea or ocean.. Kanniyakumari have 2 seas and 1 ocean connected.. since the train is running from Katra (Himalayas) till Kanniyakumari (Sagar) its called as HIMSAGAR EXPRESS !!!

They should at least introduce LHB rake in such a long route. ICF coaches make lot of rattling noise.
It is our South Indian fate they won't assign new compartments to us, they assign them to North first
Ella train kum LHB Kudutha , ICF lam paaaka mudiyaathu. No issues ICF run aachina.
@@Thecomper I don't think so. I have seen many trains in the South being upgraded to LHB. Soon all trains will be upgraded when manufacture of LHB coaches reaches a certain point.
Probably this train is not a priority train, and more cut passengers travel by it. On the other hand, Himgiri Express between Jammu Tawi and Howrah has LHB rake.
As for development, Chennai Egmore, Rameshwaram, Madhurai and many other stations are being upgraded. That's a welcome move by the Railway Ministry.
