It is a shame not updating the android version...
for android users?
Hi, we would like bring the 2.0 features Android version but, despite a lot of people asking for it and subsequently us putting a huge amount of development time and effort into version 1, it just doesn’t sell anywhere near as successfully as the iOS version to justify what it costs to develop. We’re not saying it’s never coming, but it’s not going to be soon. We will however, in the meantime, continue to support android version 1 so it continues to work correctly on future android OS updates.
@@DavidBeebeeI'm very disappointed, I bought the Android app thinking we wouldn't be left out... In Latin American countries the app is already very expensive and now you won't give us updates like iOS? I just hope that this "not coming soon" doesn't turn into years and years of waiting...
@@DavidBeebee have you guys considered making a desktop app for pc?
@@pedrorojasfernandez2671 Would you rather them just abandon the Android app? They are a business at the end of the day and need to do whats best to stay afloat. Be happy that they're even still supporting the android version 1.
The new note finding exercise is great for beginners. Nice addition. Maybe the fretboard idea could be developed so that you could tap the fretboard to enter where you think a note or interval is? This would allow visualisation away from the guitar. Great for bus or train journies or just when you’ve not got a guitar handy.
I love the app on my iPad, but as I mentioned once before (and you kindly replied that it would be possible) I find the small text below the main text very hard to see on my small iPhone screen and would love it if this could be made larger. There seems to be a lot of unused screen space. My eyesight is poor and I’m sure this isn’t an issue for 95% of users but if an option could be added for those with visual mpairments to increase the font size of the smaller text it would be very much appreciated. Thank you and Tom for the work on the app. It’s really helping me improve my fretboard knowledge. Enjoy NAMM.
Thanks for the kind words and suggestions John. Optimising the screen space on the iPad and Mac versions is definitely something we have to do and is moving up the list of jobs. Cheers!
Hello David. Congratulations on Sølo and your new course. I have spent so many years trying to apply my basic theory knowledge (as a Viola player) to my guitar. Most of my playing is using my 3nps modal patterns like most. Does this 2 point intervallic function method address this 3nps? I wish I would have spent time learning my closed position scale shapes as well. Very interesting concept, I do know my basic intervals through 1 octave starting from Root 6 but not higher than the octave. Sorry about rambling.
Agree, need Android version.
Is solo app need audio interface to recognize the tune of my guitar? How to connect it??
Works on Apple Silicon Mac’s?
Yes, works on Apple silicon macs 👍🏻
This look Amazing! A proper modern way of learning guitar. Great work!
Thank you so much!
Looks cool. Too bad I use Android.
Does this support drop tunings? I noticed it supported a default list of tunings such as standard and 4ths, but was curious if you could customize the tunings in the app to support whatever guitar setup you are running.
As the first comment
Android...... please
Is there an update for android in the works?
Hi, we would really like to do an Android version but, despite a lot of people asking for it and subsequently us putting a huge amount of development time into version 1, it just doesn’t sell anywhere near as successfully as the iOS version to justify what it costs to develop. @@DavidBeebee I bought an android app some time ago, it's sad to hear that it won't get an update anytime soon. However, I also own a macbook. Is there a way to "transfer" the license so I could switch to mac version, or I'd have to buy solo again?
Hi david..how can i get solo T-shirt? I really need one..
Hey, there's actually a link through to the merch store in the app, in settings. Or you can go to store.solotrainer.app
They are available but we're just low key with it atm, just testing a few more products before launching properly with next Solo app update. Thanks for the interest!
Está disponible en español? Gracias
Can you enable the compatibility of the app for the Apple Vision Pro?
Hey Michael, we're not sure what we're doing with regards to Vision Pro yet, still talking through the possibilities and hesitant to enable for a few reasons. On a peronal level I'm itching to get on though! Assuming you have one, how are you finding it?!
Brought the course. Any chance of a offline Download for on the move learning please.
Hey, thanks for getting the course! Afraid this one is streaming access only, however if you want to acesss it on the move you can use the teachable app. Log in with the email address you used to purcahse the course and you'll be able to consume it on a phone/tablet etc. Hope that helps, and thanks again. 🐝
I bought solo very early and am ready to buy this course. One question is that I can't find the registration entrance on the website. Do I have to pay before I can get the registration link?
Hi thanks, the link is in this videos description, or you can go to courses.solotrainer.app let me know if you still have trouble. Thanks again.
@@DavidBeebee thanks! It is already in this link, but there is no way to log in. Please tell me how to register and whether I can only log in to this page to watch online after purchase.
@fuzijunguitar oh I see yes you need purchase the course in order to access it.
Is there a desktop version of the solo app?
Yes, Solo 2.0 does runs natively on Apple Silicon Macs. Solo 1 for android can be run on windows with an android emulator, although that's not something we officially support.
@@DavidBeebee I use Linux and have been trying o get macOS to work in a virtual box with no luck. I want to buy the app. Looks awesome. Hoping you guys will have Linux support in the future.
Thanks for the interest in Solo. I do have to be honest though and say it's highly unlikely we will developing for linux, it's very much out of our wheelhouse.
@@DavidBeebee Fair enough!
Update suggestion: customizable chord progression
yea, this is something that will come eventually, thanks.
@@DavidBeebee Can’t wait!
I have the Solo app, went to the app store and there is no update. Is it delayed?
Hmm it’s definitely live our end, it may take a while to refresh in all locations, where are you based?
I'm in Chicago area USA
In my experience, apps can take up to 24 hours after release to appear in all App Store regions. Probably due to how Apple caches things.
NAMM50 invalid code. Poo
There is a new code though… on my latest video, use that! 😄😉
@@DavidBeebee Ah thanks - missed that
