I just started a CPC course through AAPC and your lessons are 100%better than AAPC's online course. Your explanations are helping me sooo much. Thank you!
Can't thank you enough for shedding some light on this. Why do programs/instructors/online curriculums, more specifically overlook this???!!! Why aren't the accreditations organizations making sure this is covered???? I can read this all day long, but having someone and someone as nice as you to relay much needed information. You know your stuff! God bless you and thank you again!!!
A couple of thousands and a year spent in school and not once was any of our books broken done like this. Until now, I didn't even know the CPT book had an index *facepalm* THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! May God bless you a million times over and over! I feel MUCH better about taking my CPC Exam now.
Thank you in a million, I am currently taking coding class (adult school), but at the end of the day I always felt empty handed. When I came across your video I know that it'll be a big help. Thank you so much. God bless you million folds.
Oh my gosh, you taught this better than my instructor at the community college. I’ve been going there for a month and a half and I haven’t grasp anything..thanks for this wonderful explanation. Great job 😍
I am taking an online course at college, its hard, but you explain it so well. Thank you so much, I am going to try to bootcamp myself with all your videos to see if I get it. I am having a hard time putting it all together.
i am happy because i found you finally, thank you for your explanations , would you please make video on how to encode using CPT with examples, i am a medical coding student
Thank you so much for this video. I am in an online class in advanced medical coding and auditing and seem to always be off by a code when coding CPT and your video helped me realize how unfamiliar I am with my CPT book. Thank you for actually teaching me how to use my CPT Book !
I'd like to thank you for not only your whole channel but the videos you post! I study online for MBC and I will admit that using the CPT code book is one that I have had the hardest to look up codes. I don't know if I'm just use to the ICD-10-CM code book but man, I was failing my class bcse I just couldn't understand my book! I was THAT student who would go by sections and just browse down the codes looking for the right one lol smh being an online student makes it harder to get one on one with my professors as its emails and waiting for replies (not to long of a wait but if I have a quick question, I can forget what im asking by the time they answer me) but anyways, Id like to thank you for this video because you really broke it down in more detail as to what I already knew (or didn't know).
Grateful for this! This opened my eye to somethings I don't know about CPT coding...Am taking medical coding and billing course_Cpt has not be easy for me. Am praying to be an expert like you! I will go check on the ICD-10 diagnostic code you did Thanks!
Seriously, so helpful god bless! Idk what I would have done if I didn't find your channel!! Keep up the good work!! I sent you an email asking for lesson plans! Thank you so much!
I'm not sure if you are aware that there is a weird taping on your audio. Thank you for your channels. I've subscribed to both. You're really clear and extremely helpful. Job well done!
Thank you Rainia Ananda. I upgraded my camera since then and the tapping noise has stopped so it must have been the camera. I am so sorry about the noise. I have since stopped MedicalCoderLife because TH-cam kept giving me a hard time with my videos. But CodeMasterCoach will remain active.
your videos are so amaizing, they helped me a lot, but can u do video about coding for long term care facilities, I do code in a rehab/nursing home facility and I am the only coder here and it is my first coding job and I felt lost at first since I did not have no one to go to, but I had to learn on my own since I learned outpatient coding in school, nothing related to LTAC facilities. Here I only do ICD 10 thank you
Hi Codemaster. I just started my online CPT course. My online module for the course is updated to 2017 but I was sent the 2016 book from school in November. Should I purchase the updated book? Am I going to run into difficulty having a more dated book? School says it is fine to use and will be acceptable for the AAPC exams this year.. I would like to have every advantage I can have, however money is TIGHT.. Would appreciate your input.. Thanks!
Kr Bo just make sure you get the 2017 Coding Guidelines. Look at the front of your code book and see what year is in there. The 2016 books have the 2016 guidelines in them. Also, double check with the AAPC because the test changes over to the 2017 guidelines after the first quarter. So, don't take schools advice without confirming with AAPC.
Not sure which one of your videos it was but I'm in a medical billing and coding class now and you had said something about people wanting you to send them the transcription of one of your videos and I can't find that specific one but I know I would like to have that as well could you please send it to me
Hi Codemastercoach. Thanks for another good lesson. I followed along as you were explaining the setup. I have 2015 Professional Edition CPT. Would "Appendix P" be included with this book?
I heard you mention about keeping the forms updated , is there an application that the office will use to where you can alter the form if a code has been changed?
I have a sinking suspicion all was not disclosed when I enrolled in the current program I am in at the local Community College here. I was told to purchase the ICD 10 CM, CPT and HCPCS books for my comprehensive coding course. I now hear you mention a PCS. What is that, and what is the difference in the National Exams that would allow you to work in a physician's office versus a hospital?
ICD-10-PCS prepares you for coding procedures in a hospital (inpatient) setting. It sounds like your program is preparing you for the CPC exam which is a physician office (outpatient) setting certification. Make your program work for you. I think the CPC certification is an excellent starting point with coding.
There is an index at the back of the CPT book to look up the procedure. It will give you a range of codes to use and you determine what approach was taken to complete the procedure and assign the correct code.
Hey great code master coach? Have a question for ya. Because everything going digital in your opinion and experience and insight are the coding jobs still going to be in need in two years? I am currently enrolled in health technology administration which I have 6 more months of my goal is to be enrolled in a AHIMA accredited course with coding by next fall would it be worth my time? Will coder jobs still be needed? My goal is to be a accredited medical coder contractor! Plzzzzzz coach your thought would be much appreciated
Karla, I currently use what is call CAC (Computer Assisted Coding). Everyday we realize just how much the human touch is going to have to be involved in the coding because CAC looks for the medical term but does not know when to apply the coding guidelines. Right now Risk Adjustment is stepping in to capture lost revenue that was missed and of course facilities are looking for trained coders to step in and capture these codes. This would have been an ideal time for digital technology, but its just not capable. So, maybe in the future but not in the near future until we can train physicians to dictate a certain way. We have been trying to do that for years.
Which exam prep book would be best to purchase when studying for the ccsp exam? I have 3 years of coding experience only. Do you think I will have a problem when I apply to take the exam?
I pray that you're blessed 10 fold for sharing your knowledge! You're a phenomenal teacher!
I just started a CPC course through AAPC and your lessons are 100%better than AAPC's online course. Your explanations are helping me sooo much. Thank you!
Glad to hear that. Thank you.

Thank you for your tutorials. I need to pass my online course.

So glad I can help you Becca Reilly.
You truly are an excellent instructor.
Thank you so much Susan Wick.

Thank you for this! I am doing medical billing and coding now, and I love your work, and how you break it down!

I am taking an online course at college, its hard, but you explain it so well. Thank you so much, I am going to try to bootcamp myself with all your videos to see if I get it. I am having a hard time putting it all together.
Thank you Zenaida Carrero. You can do this. It will just take lots of practice.
i am happy because i found you finally, thank you for your explanations , would you please make video on how to encode using CPT with examples, i am a medical coding student
I am so happy I found you! You've helped shed light with my ICD and CPT books! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH.
Just know that your videos are gifts that just keep giving. Helping me soooooo much!!
Glad to hear that Krissy Hamilton.
Fantastic instructor. You break down and explain things so well. If I was there in person, I'd hug you lol

You are such an amazing tutor!!! My instructor sucks! I can barely understand what he's trying to explain! Please keep these videos coming!
Will do Jainal Shahid.
I'm very thankful I found you Ma'am! You explained it well. Just started reading the book. Kudos!😊

Coach....never stop doing this!!! You should think about tutoring ppl for coding...I will pay
I really enjoy your style of teaching. Do you have any updated CPT videos? Thank you.
I finished now and as I expected very very good thank so much for time and the good way of teaching

You're welcome Arnetta Hicklin.
Excellent! Great video
Thank you so much, I enjoyed your presentation and was able to follow it.
Your welcome Sandra Collins.
Thank you this was so helpful. Will you be going section by section of the cpt book?
$3,000.00 on school and NEVER knew this section existed 😐 Thank you
Wow! I am hearing comments like this more and more. This scares me. Sorry Michelle Murrell.
Thank you Coach for this video.
You are welcome Susan Wick.
Just join in I am trying to prepare for my certification exam cpc. Do you have any teaching on what I need to focus on in my studies?
Thank you so much before I see the video, because I saw the previous video and it is so helpful
Thanks for the vote of confidence Aliaa.
Great info.

Excellent!.
Who could I be certified through other than the NHA
great video....thanks again!
Thank you Shannan Irish.
Can you visually look up a different codes using the appendix and see how you do it. I need visual aid to understand.
Not sure which one of your videos it was but I'm in a medical billing and coding class now and you had said something about people wanting you to send them the transcription of one of your videos and I can't find that specific one but I know I would like to have that as well could you please send it to me
Love your hair
thank you!
This is so helpful.
Hi Codemastercoach. Thanks for another good lesson. I followed along as you were explaining the setup. I have 2015 Professional Edition CPT. Would "Appendix P" be included with this book?
Cassie Adams, I don't have my 2015 edition anymore. Sorry.
CodeMaster Coach i truly enjoy your classes
I heard you mention about keeping the forms updated , is there an application that the office will use to where you can alter the form if a code has been changed?
I create my own office forms for the office and then update as needed Rosland J Bell.
Where did you go? I love your videos.
I'm actually in the process of building an entire medical coding program. I will be uploading a video soon.
Awesome,
Thank you Caleb Belcher

Can you explain that how will we take appropriate code from CPT Book.....? I know about ICD10 CM but CPT no.....
There is an index at the back of the CPT book to look up the procedure. It will give you a range of codes to use and you determine what approach was taken to complete the procedure and assign the correct code.

AHIMA does have a CCS-P review book and so does PRG. I'm familiar with PRG but have not reviewed the AHIMA guide.
CodeMaster Coach Thank you so much...
excellent
Thank you
Your welcome Lovebug k23.
how do we remember all these appendices
Als, you don't have to remember them. They are in the book if you need them. Just refer to them as needed.
Dear mam, i am Akash samudre i have 6 year experience in icd 10 Coding but have not cpt knowledge because i have CPT book 📚 please
I don't have the book
Tressy Austin, if your college does not provide the book, then I recommend checking the AAPC website for Amazon.com
Hello!
Will have an email? To communicate?
Shaking noise in the back round!
Old video. New equipment.
Blurry
Again, that is all you got from the video?
this is hard to watch with the typing noise in the background... like nails on a chalkboard :(
Tina Rosier, I purchased a new camera since and the noise stops.
Thank you
Your welcome Rosland J. Bell.
