Winch Cam v. Fish Spy - Best Bait Boat Cam?

- A discussion of the pros and cons of using a winch cam verses a Fish Spy camera for recording drops from bait boats when carp fishing.
This video was filmed at a gin clear quarry in the USA. The spot was being surveyed and prebaited for upcoming carp sessions.

Great footage, I'm planning on using my go pro this summer in the margins for some catch footage when the carp are in feed mode at the end of the match.. if water is clear enough lol
It's always a catch 22 - you need clear water for filming, but the fish don't like it if it is too shallow and clear, so you can't wade out with the cameras. I've invested in a 'belly' boat' that will allow dropping of cameras in deeper water.

Cheers Trev - as soon as the ice melts I'll be down to the club with the mini sub doing a similar thing. My prediction is the sub is a better survey tool than either the bait boat cam or the Fish Spy, but we'll see..

Really can't work out in my head how you can say fish spy is better than the winch camera .Its like banger racing and forulma one.I think someone needs to show you how to use winch camera.Fish spy camera is useless never get signal even to get it to work in first place.If you use winch camera properly you don't get any line twist.

Can’t be a comparison video if you only show the fish spy. And from hands on experience the fisheye camera kits winch cam is far superior

I mentioned at a couple of forums that my Cam footage was unusable, so that should tell you something. I somewhat blame carplounge for this as my RT4 was a total lemon - blown main board, camera sent back due to faulty motor. The 'fixed' camera had signal cut out past about 30 meters - screen flickering / turning off. I've not tried the fisheye camera kit, only the Carplounge so I'm not knocking your product directly. However, having seen the posted video with the casters it's apparent you are cherry picking somewhat based on background comments.
I'll try another comparison soon, but this time using the mini sub vs camera.
You need to edit your title and clearly stat your testing this against the carplounge winch cam and not just generic winch cam as you could be doing damage to to the name of other company’s that’s do products like this and open yourself up to a libel case
@@simonbrown3683 I'll be sure to mention that in my next video - I have nothing against Fisheye products (or had experience with them), I've just had problems with carplounge - I mentioned it was carplounge kit in the video.
@@simonbrown3683 Simon, you obviously Have no idea, about freedom of speech or personal preference. You cannot be sued for giving an opinion, as long as it is not hateful. Watch some commercials they do it all the time.
It’s not about freedom of speech it’s about not being clear on the product your "comparing" (yet only one video posted) and also using a generic name and not stating clearly a brand name and doing damage to other company’s that also make and sell there own version of the same product
