I hope you folks understand what we're watching... This is a half hour or so of, non commercialised, " you must use our products or you won't catch anything," fishing... this is the real thing, the fishing we want our kids to enjoy... thanks, Jon...
I have been fishing for nearly 50 years and always pick up a new tip everytime I watch one of Jons videos! I would have been fishing on top of the weed all day! Great lead dragging tip.
Thanks Jon. Lovely evening session. Thames can be a great venue, but also so difficult. Great to be out in nature though, regardless of what you catch.
Great job Jon! i had been trying for bream for years on my local canal. I got lucky with 1 bream a couple of years back on feeder, breadcrum and sweetcorn on the hook. However, 2 weeks ago, someone told me to method feeder for them instead. I tried it out on 2 sessions, both sessions, caught bream, all above 4LB, the largest being 6.5Lb. It was method tiny 2mm pellets with a sonubait wafter (try all 3 colours, pink orange and yellow) banded on the hook (size 14 barbless). Some carp in the water, so 8Lb line :)
This brings back really nice memories, back in the day when I would get down to the Thames behind Windsor race course, and fish from 10pm until 3-4am and properly sack up on massive bream 😁
Nice evenings fishing by the looks of it, mate. I caught a Rudd today, a fish that has no earthly business being in a lake in Massachusetts, long way from home. Thanks mate
Morning Jon I hope your well great video as always mate can I make a request? Is it possible to do a up to date video of hard pellet fishing for carp short pole and margin video please 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hi Jon. Did the presence of the big pike make you consider moving swims or did you feel that the bream were big enough to not be put off of feeding by it ?
I just had to put up with it on the day as it was such a short evening session and it would've taken too long to find another fishable hole to fish in. Im sure the bream didn't like it though as its so shallow
Hi Jon could you please do a vid about the responsibilities of us fishermen/women. I see week after week discarded fishing line & empty tins (hemp, sweetcorn & meat) its a disgrace to the sport & there isn't any excuse for not cleaning up after ourselves. I feel that if the likes of yourself & your fellow well knows anglers could speak out about this subject it would be heard far more then if I ( a unknown) where to do a vid about it. Could you please ask your fellow fishing friends to do something I would very much appreciate anything you could do to try & save our wildlife. Thanks.
I totally understand the frustration but I don't think a single one of those so-called anglers are my audience or watch my films, so it's just preaching to the converted. No amount of signs, films, posters or campaigns will change the minority of bad people out there. The same underclass are the ones who fly tip, leave toilets in a state, have no consideration for others etc etc. My channel and my fishing is escapism, so although I will occasionally point things out if I see them, I try and stay positive and promote the positives in this world.

Wow that's a special fish then!
@@JonArthur I found out that Rudd were introduced to the Charles river by an English guy in the 1800's
Wow, I assumed they were just a fish that looked like a Rudd, a bit like the roach-like species I see in aquariums that aren't roach!
What a lovely relaxing video Jon, nice to see you out on the bank for a peaceful evening session, keep them coming mate 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Well done Jon, nice piece of real fishing.
