That car washer was clearly impersonating a police officer. He’s a civilian employee.

First bloke was impersonating a police officer which is a criminal offence. You asked him if he was police and he said yes and showed you a card but hes just staff. You are also classed as a key worker because you are a journalist and even freelance journalist are key workers, not just Lamestream media, But IMO they would have forced a fine on you even though it would be illegal and void as per the Bill of Rights 1689.

    AGAIN LAZY SCRUFFY POLICE OFFICERS
    UK College of Policing:
    Appearance standards national guidance.
    Headgear:
Headgear is an integral part of a police uniform and an important element in enabling the public to recognise you. It is compulsory for uniformed staff to wear force-issued headgear while performing public duties. This not only projects a professional image but, where appropriate, assists in the health and safety of staff.
    The following also applies:
except on religious and medical grounds officers, PCSOs and members of the Special Constabulary will wear force-issued headgear
officers and uniformed staff in police vehicles may remove their headgear while in the vehicle but must wear it outside the vehicle at all times unless operational commitments prevent this, eg, chasing suspects or saving lives, home visits, severe weather such as high winds

You know whats funny? One of the common responses from cops in these situation is that they find it 'odd' and 'strange' that someone would be filming police stations, even from public areas as a lawful activity. And yet...lockdowns, masks, sanitising, social distancing, closures of businesses etc is normal??? I would actually argue that this is an unprecedented, historic event in most of our lifetimes, and therefore even more reason why it should be filmed and documented. I also say that because I am 100% convinced that any fines or arrests that result from such interactions that are not unlawful will eventually be overturned or quashed by the courts and legal entities. When all of this is over, there will be many, many stories to be told about this global event so by all means yes...it absolutely must be documented.

    • @lucymiller8765
      @lucymiller8765 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes to all of the above.
If its odd or strange then how come they know which legislation to misuse? i.e. section 44. If no police force had ever encountered anyone filming their station then they'd not be concerned if they did because it isn't illegal. If they know which legislation to go to it must be more usual than unusual. Which means by definition it cant be strange and that they've already decided a policy, written or unwritten, on how they will treat photographers before they've encountered someone with a camera.
Saying its "strange" is to encourage someone to justify themselves because nobody wants to be seen as strange and by justifying their actions will give the police more information, anything that vaguely incriminates themselves. They can then twist that to give them grounds to ID them so a record can be kept on their activities. If they don't ID that then its the inconvenience of a search. If they have grounds for a search or arrest they would be doing that straight away. Give them nothing and they've got nothing.
Where is the record of any UK court case where it was proven fact that prior to a terror attack an individual recorded video of the target either overtly or covertly?

Work is classed as an exemption. You have every right to be there if it's your job. That includes travel between countries.
His point about the jury only relates to communicating with the jury about the case they are overseeing or publishing their images next to specific references of the case they are overseeing.

If the train operators transport someone from England to Wales during the lockdown, surely they are aiding and abetting a possible criminal offence.

The issue with this video is you started answering their questions. What they do is they frame specific questions to get you to incrimnate yourself for stuff, in this case for lockdown breaches. I could tell within a few minutes they were trying to get you to admit to breaking lockdown rules.
