      No! They went up against each other in the Semifinals of the 1982 NCAA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT in New Orleans. Carolina won that game to advance to the Championship game against the Hoyas of Georgetown anchored by Patrick Ewing. Carolina won that game as well.

      +nonplayerzealot4 And they aren't shooting 30 three pointers a game like they do today. This is why the NBA was so much better back then. Guys were playing defense but the players shooting ability back then was just so much better. You got guys like Curry and the Warriors shooting lights out from three and they still can't hit these kinds of point totals...and it has NOTHING to do with the defense being better today.
