Belated Happy Birthday Lynne. And grandson an Jasmine. I saw recently also people making elderly wine and also lemonade. The most recepies are the same. But all of them are English people, haha.
The elderflower wine does seem to be a very English thing although some people in the village make a cordial from the flowers, they just don't ferment it.
Happy Birthday Lynn🎉 you do make it look easy making the champagne, I know I would forget to let the air in or out and blow up the house. Have a fun weekend.
Lynne says thank you! It really is easy to make the champagne and I release the gas build up once I've feed the dogs so I can't forget. It will soon be degassed enough for me to leave it alone until we want to drink it. 🍾

Hoping you had a great birthday Linda :) And yes, I'm looking forward to Adam getting back into brewing beer ..... there's trading to be had on the brewing front :)
Hi guys, love your channel. But as a Bulgarian, I have to correct you on the information you said about saints Cyril and Methodius. They did not develop the Cyrillic alphabet, but Glagolitic alphabet. The Cyrillic alphabet was developed by their students/followers at Preslav (which is just a few miles southeast from your place past Targovishte and back then capital of Bulgaria) and named the new alphabet Cyrillic after their teacher st. Cyril.
Thank you, it's always good to get the correct information. Sometimes our research isn't as good as it should be! We glad to hear you enjoy our channel and be assured that next year we will get our information right.
I'm weeding like mad got rid of 12 bags on Wednesday and now have eight more bags and there'll be more for the dust bin men to take early next week. Meanwhile I've ordered 5 cubes of wood from the village mayor which has to be paid for in September before delivery.
It's nonstop this time of year in the garden isn't it! Hopefully it will slow down soon and we can all have a rest. Is 5 cubes enough? I don't know what the limit is from the mayor but knowing how wood prices have been going up I would buy as much as I could afford and am allowed and then storing the spare for next year.
I bought five cubes about four years ago and I've still got lots left however I am living here full time now and I think that last winter was very mild . I can order 10 cubes but i ll see how things go this coming year and if needs be I'll order the maximum next year if I need to.
I read when we were looking for a home in Bulgaria that it was considered good manners to introduce your selves to the village Mayor in the village youd bought in . So husband and I did , not only did we get the actually address of the house we'd bought he entered our names into his list of houses in the village. My neighbour also tells me that most villages have a Facebook page but that's not much good to me as I don't speak Bulgarian but she tells me when to order the firewood from him if I'm in the village at the right time and I get the price from her as well. I had to order in March but he's not expecting the money until September it's delivered into the Lane outside my gate then I pay someone to cut it into logss and I have to move it from the lane into my wood store. Hard work but worth it. If you don't order it quickly then you miss out as I've learnt in the past.
Lynne says thank you! 😀 It probably takes about a week for it to calm down enough to stop but each batch is different 😕 You need enough gas still being produced to give a sparkling champagne. The trick is to chill it before opening as that calms the fizz ( just like coca cola).

Happy Birthday 🎉

Happy birthday Lynn! 😊 How long do you have to keep taking out the fizz in the champagne? I'm amazed how much there was!
Lynne says thank you! 😀
