feels like you're making too much work for yourself. for one block of tofu I make one cup of besan flour to 1 and half cup of water pinch of salt pinch and turmeric and whisk well getting out any lumps, Dont bother leaving it. Heat 1 and half cup of water to saucepan, when water boiling add flour mix and on low heat stir continuosly till it's like porrige. Pour into mold and leave to cool and set. Takes lot less time

The texture i made came out all soggy and not firm and not slicable, please help
