The rise of Triple H, Jericho and Kurt Angle in late 99 and 2000, the Radicaiz, Lance Storm, Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero, Edge, Christian, Booker T, RVD, Lesnar, Cena, Batista, Orton, Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Hass and many more. Stone Cold and The Rock had their best work after 2000. Undertaker and Kane were solid veterans. The divas division was back (Chyna, Lita, Trish, Jaqueline, Ivory, Molly Holly, Victoria, Jazz, Melina...). Goldberg was in WWE for a yesr. Shawn Michaels wrestled again. Hogan came back. Flair came back. Hall and Nash had a bunch of matches. Mr. Perfect had a bunch of matches. The later days of the Attitude Era and the first half of the Ruthless Aggression Era had a product way superior to anything done in the 80s or 90s.
He was never a part of Team Extreme. He was attracted to Lita and started helping the Hardys against Saturn & Malenko. The angle was dropped quicker than a hiccup when Eddie was sent to rehab for his drug and alcohol abuse and then fired later.

Them "turning" on Mick Foley was disappointing. THe whole booking didn't make sense as I thought they'd be great nemesis for Degeneration X. Imagine if Chris Jericho was put them.
