When I was a much younger man I used to hunt these suckers as well as ducks. Now that I'm a grandpa I just raise them and they have the entire run of my fenced 2 acres. I find that, for me, raising them is much more fulfilling. p.s I mean no disrespect to hunters. Thanks for the vid!!!
You know in Halo how when you drive the vehicles and you honk the horn too much they just disable it? Not sure why I thought of that but I sure do love Geese
What you're watching is a fight for territory. The goose in the pond has claimed the water as his summer home and he doesn't like the other goose swimming in it. The extra high level of animosity could be because there may be a female goose on a nest in the cattails.
Every spring is the same but they get through it fine and once goslings are hatched revert to a quieter mode ._I can spend hours watching them Beats TV :)
My one year old heard geese in our neighborhood but we weren't able to see them, it was great to put an image to the sound. He was fascinated by the video. Thank you.

I also know how to act around them without aggravating them. Their droppings help the plantlife and control pests in their nesting grounds.
