Welcome Steve! I'm travelling to the States for the first time this week. Look forward to seeing what it's all about!

Have been looking at xo and axopar, would be curious how you would compare the two.

Yes I sold Axopars from 2015 - 2020 so have done hundreds of hours on them. XO is stronger and higher quality build. Axopar is a more refined ride and enjoyable to drive.

Are you coming to England for the Southampton International Boat Show?
We will take a look at the new Parker Sorrento (upgrade to our Parker 850) but, if we change, we feel most drawn to the Beneteau Flyer 10 (the open version of the GT32. It ticks all but one of our boxes.
Also, our friend, James Powell, Sales Director of Fairline, will be showing their new Phantom 58.

I’m not Garry I’m currently on my way to the States for Back Cove/Sabre Yachts to test their boats up in Maine. Hope to get back to England next year. Super keen on testing more Fairlines!

Would it be fair to say it's a harder boat to justify for routine use, but a much tougher, more desirable boat when the uses are more challenging? And if an especially well engineered boat just puts a spring in your step, you have to smile at this one.

Spot on Jack! I see this as more of a Mission Specific boat. When you have some unique jobs in mind it will be perfect for that. The build quality has always been impressive on these boats so will keep an owner happy.

01:05 Dan, you were the stand on vessel to the jetski. You would have been expected to hold your course and the jetski turn to run astern of you.
Or…. Is it like here in UK that a large proportion of the jetskis drivers are unaware of the Coll Regs and you just adjust your driving accordingly to take that knowledge into account?

Wasn't necessary as heaps of separation so better to just show my intentions to him early. Also that would have forced him to run down swell with current against waves. I can't speak for jetski's col reg knowledge as jetskis are illegal in Sydney Hbr so we don't see too many of them. I never assume anyone knows anything when I'm going fast and generally put myself in a safe place before someone can accidently cross into me if they didn't look or know what they are doing.

@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife " I never assume anyone knows anything" definitely the mindset to have on the water. Better safe than sorry

I'd say at 35-36 knots it is underperforming. Cruising at 4800rpm is a thirsty pace and maybe too much strain on the engine? Just MHO.
Would like to see it with the 450R.

She would purr with the 450R and at lower revs for sure. Yep 4800 is on the high end but shes a little boat so probably wont break the bank for the way most people will use this boat.
