I think it would be better if you adjust the length of the arm to determine where your "naturall" look. Especially if you are using a larger monitor instead of the laptop screen
I get the intention but the execution leaves a lot to be desired, thank you for checking this out because I was genuinely curious how it would work. Isn't there already a technology/product that essentially recreates your face using AI to make your eyes look like they are looking at the camera even if they're really looking at the screen? If not, I'm sure there will be at some point or they will find a way to integrate the camera behind the screen.
You can move the video window to align with the camera. It's easier than manually adjusting the camera length.
