Bummer about the corner, those 45s look nice but do have a tendency to catch things and break, although usually later down the road by the homeowner 😆 Job came out great, nice to see your son taking the helm on some of his own jobs now 👍

Hey mate. great video. When compacting, did you do 1 pass over the crushed concrete and over the sand base?

Yeah that quick crete sucks. Last time i used it was to do about a 4’ x 18’ aprin off of my garage. That stuff bled so bad for about 4 hours. It was still a bit to wet to finish. I poured it a bit on the stiff side too.

@@OdellCompleteConcrete Yes for sure. I usually get it from Patagonia and it looks different than what u guys used in the video. The stuff from Patagonia is more like washed sand and 3/8 crushed granite and the stuff u guys used looked more like 3/8 road base.

Other contractor said he would fix it and make it right.
Wonder if the bull nose chunk missing was a hit and run by the post installers. Otherwise a beautiful job creating a little paradise in a back yard

3:09 the concrete crusher has a steel conveyor belt. They should not charge you more. Actually they should pay you for that since steel is more valuable!
