I can't express in words what a blessing you are to God's church! It seems so simple, and I guess it really is, but it all comes back to His word. Thank you!

Friends and fellowship is not about supporting ME and MY story and MY petty emotions... Friendship and fellowship is about people who want the will of God for me, and who will hear me out, question me, and help me to do the will of God. If they don't get emotional WITH me, or support any spirit of offense or bitterness or lust or idolatry I might have, but instead will plainly expose that I'm not waking in the Holy Spirit.. that's a good friend.
    Be that friend.
Now in churches, I see pastors and their wives protecting the sheep from true conviction and help. 😕

As a pastor's wife, it is because we are tempted by numbers more than concerned with fear of the Lord....if we lovingly confront a person, we might loose them from the church, or at very least loose their friendship and support....it's just basically selfishness...something God is working on me about!

Wow, good stuff. You're always opening my eyes to a new, more biblical way of looking at things. Thank you.

The world's "understanding" (read perversion) of what friendship ought to be almost always starts from a basic stance of selfishness that borders on seeing those friendships as a means to an end - that is, how those friendships can serve them in meeting their needs and satisfying their desires instead of what the biblical perspective is that we ought to serve others - that's what it means to love your neighbor and just not self.

Some solid BIBLICAL wisdom here! Enough of the cultural, seeker sensitive paganism in 'churches.'

Wow! I'm going back to school and one of my classes wanted us to find a motivational video. And one of the videos that had been played, is like the one you're critiquing. Could I use your video for a motivational video?

Toxic people are a waste of time. Fool proof your life. Most church people are not converted. Be not decieved

No, you should cut some relationships out. If somebody is just draining the life put of you, do you just keep letting them? No. You move on and leave if up to God to bring possible reconciliation later on. You don't just keep absorbing anything that somebody does because you want to be a good Christian. That's pride to do so. Paul cut people out and Jesus did and others. They tried to reach those people, but those people refused the council of God against themselves. Should we just keep trying to manipulate people to agree with us so that we can look like a good Christian?
