We can’t forget that he was plagued with numerous injuries.
He isn't very quick on the ball and he has long strides. His sprint speed is what was incredibly fast, his acceleration wasn't anything special.

I think because of recent years people tend to discredit Cristiano .He was dog shit at freekicks and average at dribbling these last years but because of his early career he is still in the top 20 dribblers and top 20 freekick takers ever

Gareth bale at his prime can run 100m in 10 seconds. He actually could've been a sprinter.
I'm actually curious about what his 100m time actually is from when he was in his prime but for some reason he won't say what it is. I imagine it would be somewhere in between 10.2 and 10.6 and that is as a footballer, not a sprinter who trains to run faster.

If it's the latter he probably already hits that consistently in his prime, he is most likely quicker than that seeing that his fastest recorded speed on a football pitch was 36.9kmph. If you mean 10 seconds flat then I agree, if he trained for it he could have reached a time like that, maybe even a 9.9 or a 9.8 if we are being generous.
Also considering that he ran 11.3 or 11.4 at 14, he would have gotten faster naturally as his body developed so he probably would have run a 10.9 at 15-15.5 already and most likely got even faster. Since he was also very active and actually did athletics and trained for football that means he definitely got faster so he probably cut between 0.5 to 0.8 seconds seconds from at least 1 or 2 years of training.
Scary to think how fast he could have been had he actually trained for it for a longer time and still played football.

I think Bale running so still and upright is why he's able to keep his touch at speed. Keeping your head still allows for more control. I wish the video had more set kicks. He was great at those.

He wasn't just fast though, the thing which really made him stand out as an exceptional athlete was his endurance, yes, he could run fast, but he was more of an 800m runner than a 100m sprinter, in an interview once he put it down to lots of competitive cross-country racing as a child, I'm Welsh and still race cross-country in my local league, it's one of the most brutal forms of racing, just eyeballs out from start to finish.

He is tall to be a soccer player in La Liga. But Premier League is considered way more physical while La liga is considered more technical. For Manchester United example he would probably be considered average height or slightly above. PL has bigger players in general.

These are actually some great highlights for Bale. He has been underrated in works football since his move to Madrid. But he earned the move to Madrid - I think it was a world record transfer fee at the time (since beaten only by Neymar a transfer to PSG)
Because he hasn’t played that much at real he can’t get into top 20 all time.. but he really used his abilities well .. very effective with his speed and strength and even actually his finishing ability.
Bale is that kind of runner that makes you think that he is slow when he just bolts down the pitch.

bale is one of the fastest players to have played the game. the comment "he runs really straight up" and that "it works"... that's because that's how sprinters run. also bale is about 180lbs. you won't find many footballers over or even close to 200, let alone above it.
