Edit for v1.16.7: Use Iron Carronades as your cannons over Dragonfire Carronades as their speed reduction is lower and has higher stats than Dragonfire in everyway. As for siege weapons, use Heavy Bronze Mortar or Bronze Howitzers as they are the 2 best siege weapons in the game as of now. The enchants I recommend are still Charged or Powerful. People have also asked why I put Cannoneer below Merchant and Enchanter so I'll explain here: Merchant is very helpful in obtaining decent catalysts and reagents, particularly Life Blooms used for healing pots and can help you in many situations, outside of ship related combat. Even if you don't care about healing, Merchants can sell you almost any item that is common or uncommon which can be very convinent. As for Enchanter, it can reduce damage taken on your ship+heal your crew and includes deckhands which is important because if for say your shipbuilder deckhand is killed, you cannot use their ability again until you redock. Cannoneer is ONLY useful for ship PVP and generally ship PVP is very redundant in this game as 90% of ppl just jump out of their ship to either: continue the fight or run and in ship PVE, your cannons/mortars are strong enough to sink a ship very quickly, also not to mention the 180s Cooldown which is painfully long if you're trying to use it while in an active ship fight. Remember, this video is my opinion on the meta because it works amazing for me (I back this video a lot since I use this ship build). The video is for people who are unsure and want advice on getting a ship that is very solid and versatile. If you are expert enough to think that the ship build here isn't good then keep using the ship you like, I won't change your mind.
Sadly, Archaic Mortar isnt the best Mortar, is good if you are lucky but most of the times is always explode, making the bronze heavy mortar a better option
Ram Defense: 900 (1800) Defense: 1200 (720) Total: 2520 WARSHIP CHOICE: Hull: Armored/Warship Hull Enchants Difference (Warship - Alternative Enchant): 1350 Sail: Reinforced>Warship 😊 Ram: Armored>Warship (Maybe use brisk)😊 Cannon: Warship won’t be as helpful because the range is unnecessary as this build is for close-range PVP. Use powerful scroll with carronades. Siege Weapon: You won’t rely on your siege weapon very much so I don’t recommend warship on it. I recommend Howitzers because you can use the range to aggravate NPC ships. And use agile scroll to have a similar effect to the archaic ruined mortars. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keep in mind I made this before nimbus sea. I'm pretty sure ship enchants didn't get any changes except for the charged enchant. So this can still be useful tho. This chart makes the BEST use of enchants since they work differently on each ship component. Also, this may not be the BEST for all situations, but it shows you what vertex intends each of the ship stats are worth. Even though the evaluations aren’t perfect as of now, it is very very very likely that this is what the stats will be worth in the future when it is more balanced. I hope this helps you decide what enchant to put on each ship component to make the best use of the enchant. As a second option, you can save the components and enchants for when they are meta and use the current meta. (Btw, stats are evaluated based on deckhands since they are very straight-forward)
Charged Iron Carronades give a 2.3 damage multiplier, 1.1 Range, 7.0 Reload time and they only take 7 speed from your ship, so in conclusion, they do a little itty bit more raw damage, and at the same time, have less reload time, take less speed from your ship and have a little more range. (Tho I'm not sure how much damage the fire from the dragonfire carronades does to enemy ships, that is if you actually want to get up close and personal with them)
Yea actually, this video was made before Iron Carronades was popular. They are better than Dragonfire. Though in very situational moments, Dragonfire deals more dmg, otherwise Iron Carronades are better.

I agree and I also think using the one the buffs defence instead of buffing cannons is a lot better since the dark sea is a thing

Alright that's good to know, but it looks cool so ima still use it.

I use warship with hammerhead and it does 4k+ damage with my crew bonuses
Do the deckhands give 7 speed when theyre upgraded to legendary, or did you find them originally as 7 speed?
Legendary
bro has insanity 3
Who tf let this man cook 😭🙏
Because I cook well. 🔥
i have 3 turning deckhands and one speed deckhand that i put a lot of work into i dont wanna throw away that progress to get speed ones what do i do
Keep them
you need turning if you dont want to wait 2 years only to avoid a random pirate ship or just turn to a side
@@MeltingLove_ You don't need Turning Speed Deckhands for that. 75 is good enough.
Insanity 3 💀
How to get light like that
Light?
Why should deckhand loyalty be lower then the max?
Nah there's no problem with it being maxed. I meant if you don't bother to max it out then Devoted is good.
hi
did u know light bronze hull giv most turning yes?
If I'm not mistaken. Archaic Ruined Hull gives the most turning, but may need to verify yourself.
15 turning in question:
@@Southern_Sea I think Brisk scroll gives turning speed, and Archaic has a higher base turning than light hulls
How to farm reagent with merchant
Theres another tutorial on it i think
does the brisk attachments give u more speed?
No. It only gives speed to the attachment projectiles. Not ship speed.
@@LameLeeRBLX ok ty
@@LameLeeRBLX then why u put it on hull? hull doesn't have projectile isn't it (sorry if its dumb question)
@@venupers it gives speed on Hull. Projectile on attachment.
