I forgot to mention in the video but I want to clarify on a misconception I saw sailing around (pun intended) since the Easter update. It was said that "Ship speed more than 130 couldn't render in DS islands properly". This video and the many DS runs I've done in the last month clearly debunk this claim, I always run 155 speed and even with cannons and mortars, my ship speed is still 142. In fact, I highly encourage you if you aren't already to run max speed Brigs for DS or even general travel. Not sure if people are still believing in this rumor though, since I haven't seen anyone say anything about it in a while but thought it was worth to mention. I believe higher speed ends up helping since you are going so fast the game will render smaller islands to avoid you crashing in big islands, also that concern was more for epicenter finding then actual farming so going the fastest is the best

Another tip i found: If you have a destructive magic, you can destroy the walls on siren rocks to bypass the sirens and make a quick path to your ship. If at first you can't destroy a wall try next to it or over/under it. There are some indestructible spots but once you get used to it it becomes op
I swear this game does NOT want me to do solo dark sea. Twice in a row whenever I’m on my way back with a decent haul (30+ chests) I freeze and/or disconnect. It makes me so mad
that happens to me too much as well. i generally try and join a server with the lowest stable ping to prevent disconnects, but even then it happen enough to be annoying.
@@doubt3430 Yiu can manually select a server of ur region and browse and see which servers, the ones that or below 1 hour is fresh while those with hours are dry and will experience bugs, recommend going to 1 hour servers
A... YK it's not as bad as mines, 2 big tsunamis came from both sides and they are magical waves with fire and magma, then outta nowhere a shadow tornado spawned ON MY SHIP DIRECTLY and YK what's worse? A ship that's abandoned came in front of my ship making me take dmg, then an ship filled with atlanteans... Literally came outta nowhere too and ram my ship.
I tried this idea and it worked way better than expected. The only problem the i don't have a shipwright so i needed to use more cargos and even repair hammer in case bad thing happened.... At least my game rng is not trolling me and only give terrible islands- I got around 86 in one run afetr an hour and a half Thanks a million 👍
The last time i rode with a guy who had 2012 sealed chest hidden at his ship storage, we were chased by soo many players intending to sink us, and that dude left and i was stranded facing 5 ships of players literally barraging me with attacks, like wth
@@LameLeeRBLX they were a group of three players, asking us if we would like to see a trick, and they did showed us a trick which includes using air element ultimate art to literally fling me, but i didnt flew too far, and thats when the topic went from them asking how the hell the dude got soo much sealed chest on his ship, and basically they just started attacking while the ship was driving, thankfully the moment they used their abilities they kinda got off the ship and we drove off, but they soon followed
Great vid, this strat does wonders Here’s my own preferences: I prefer brisk archaic hull for that extra turning and armor, which sacrifices only 6 speed. For armor I went 4 agile theurgist, agile agility amulet, and 12 painite, which gives 2.7k hp and 279 agility. You dont need to care about 12 drawback cuz the strat doesn’t require any fighting.
In my opinion, going through i4 would be worth it nonetheless once you have the right build with enough experience. For mine, I have the full set of agile theurgist and an agile agility amulet. But instead of going for more speed (which is already above 200) I use 12 painites to further increases my chance of survival as it gives me around 2k of HP. It’s also good if you wanna skip through medium islands in i3 since you’re tanky enough to tank 3 full damage attacks from an i4 Atlantean Beast, and fast enough to lure them away from the structure and come back for the chests. And believe it or not, the ships in i4 are still pretty slow, just make sure to park your ship somewhere that’ll take the AI more time to reach rather than as soon as it reaches any island after. You’ll see the ship before it decides to attack you.

I have 2 questions. 1. Do you recommend that I ignore all islands except Siren Islands? That means I only loot Siren islands and Abandoned ships. 2. What do I do when I encounter an Atlantean ship? Sure my ship can easily outsail it with my speed, but it's annoying when the Atlantean ships follow and attack my ship while I'm busy looting an island.
Ignore all Islands (including Sirens and ships) UNTIL you reach Insanity 2 range. Once you're in insanity 2 only loot Siren Islands and Abandoned ships, ignore everything else. On your way back to the sea cluster, you may loot Siren islands in insanity 1. Also Atlantean ships generally don't chase you very far. Even if they do, you usually loot a Siren rock faster than the Atlantean ships that tail you. Plus you can always tank 2 or 3 mortar attacks so long as you brought cargo and aren't in the direct position of their ram/cannons. You could even try to aggro the enemies on the ship directly to prevent them from sailing further and immediately sail away, but that is a bit risky if you aren't careful.

Also, I once died because I aggroed 4 atlanteans and went to my ship which didn't have enough time to accelerate. So the 4 Atlanteans melted me relatively fast. But this was also given that I was lagging due to the Atlanteans' attacks. 2. Your tactic of aggroing the Atlanteans can be super useful for me because I'm a mage so I can damage them from afar easily to aggro them.
Do you have any idea on what setting a Siren's singing falls under? Does it fall under SFX, Ambient Sounds or Music sounds? Increasing such category would help hearing them better.
Tbh I'm not sure. Since I have music turned off I'm assuming it's Ambient but I'm not even sure if Siren songs are counted as a type of sound that can be scaled up or down.

That is a glitched server. Some Dark Sea servers don't have island spawns. Generally islands will spawn naturally after 3-10 minutes of sailing. If nothing spawns, just join another server.

If your Chests are already in the storage, they will be saved if you leave the game. But if your Chests are only on your deck, they will not save if you leave the game.

70 chests a hour is quite over exaggeration. on average i get siren island once every 5-10 minutes, or even longer. So unless you feel lucky, it's better to not skip regular islands
Regular islands aren't worth it, and 5-10 mins is extremely unlucky. It's normal to get 60 at minimum and sometimes upwards of 80. This video is as true as it say it is.
Yes. Once the cargo/sealed chests are in ship storage, they will stay even if you leave or if you are killed by someone else or if your ship despawns. but keep in mind, if you combat log or if your ship sinks for any reason, you'll lose all of it.
Siren islands are pretty common since the Easter update. One of the updates Vetex did was making DS islands more common but you can become unlucky sometimes.
You need to see where you're going and insanity 2 effects, while being bearable to handle while in the bronze sea, in the DS, you it'll be a lot harder to manage.
Honestly I forgot, I haven't played AO in a bit lol. Probably try using Swim speed, water breathing with agility gems since sometimes waves/running out of stamina while swimming is dangerous in the DS.
Heavily misleading. By this logic you should be finding one siren island every 4 minutes which is at least 15 sirens an hour. You getting 68 DSC wasn't unlucky it was lucky. I've been on countless hours of runs and best I get is 20-40 DSC per hour. Hell I've never gotten 40. I run 149 ship speed and do nothing but look around for sirens.
So its not consistent But the alternative is getting curbstomped by high level atlanteans Occasionally, curbstomp is quite literal And I have a screening to prove it

I usually avoid servers older than 5 hours
had this issue when i had a weak desktop (the ping spikes when players load in are deadly). With a better desktop I don't have that problem anymore.

Chests will be lost if your ship sinks. But if you sail between seas then it will stay with you.

Nah DSC farming is not that fun after awhile. But this guide makes it a bit more efficient so its tolerable.

When you hear the siren singing, it generally means the direction of their singing is where they are. That's why headphones / earphones are important.

You get warding gear by Dark Sealed Chests. Theurgist gear gives them or virtuous scroll enchant

A lot of the items/enchants that are recommended can only be obtained from DSC.

Talk to your quartermaster at the next shipwright to unload. Make sure you have crew on your ship.
Nice idea using unloaded glitch but it kinda ruins all the fun fighting npcs. Still good strategy for begginers

im 90% sure it saves, even if you die. if you combat log you loose all the stuff in there though.
Yes. Once the cargo/sealed chests are in ship storage, they will stay even if you leave or if you are killed by someone else or if your ship despawns.
but keep in mind, if you combat log or if your ship sinks for any reason, you'll lose all of it.

Probably not. Generally no matter what build this strat works the same except for leaps but that's a small thing.

It's random. Some servers have rain, others don't. Not sure if it was fixed in Empires update tho.

Siren islands are pretty common since the Easter update. One of the updates Vetex did was making DS islands more common but you can become unlucky sometimes.

No it was 85% from release. 100% is just to avoid all weather damage.

You need to see where you're going and insanity 2 effects, while being bearable to handle while in the bronze sea, in the DS, you it'll be a lot harder to manage.

Honestly I forgot, I haven't played AO in a bit lol. Probably try using Swim speed, water breathing with agility gems since sometimes waves/running out of stamina while swimming is dangerous in the DS.

I can't remember lol. I think agility gems and the secondary effects don't rlly matter but swim speed/water breathing are good choices.
Heavily misleading. By this logic you should be finding one siren island every 4 minutes which is at least 15 sirens an hour. You getting 68 DSC wasn't unlucky it was lucky. I've been on countless hours of runs and best I get is 20-40 DSC per hour. Hell I've never gotten 40. I run 149 ship speed and do nothing but look around for sirens.
I've done many runs and found upwards to 90 per hour. Other people have told me they've found 60-80. 🤷♂️
So its not consistent
But the alternative is getting curbstomped by high level atlanteans
