I own many DJi drones … from the Mini 4 Pro, Mavic 3 Pro, and M30-T. I’m waiting on the legislation to see what happens. Seems that DJI is on the short end of things here in the U.S.
Panasonic is a new dual-gain conversion MFT sensor that is now in the GH7 and G9-II. It is SUPERB and yes,...it beats many full-frame cameras in dynamic range and can do 5.8k open gate readout as well as 4k 120p. I'd love for DJI to try and license that chip from Panasonic. Panny does not make drones so I can see them talking to DJI about it.
Yeah, but they did kind of buy a hassleblad. @chengjung5300 Ah, sorry, you are correct. Let me correct my statement. I have a mini 3 and an avata 2. The mini 3 is amazing, but doesn't have subject tracking and needs more sensors. It's easy to take with me when I go out, and having a drone handy is great. I need a better controller for the avata 2. I really don't like the motion controller. I like the FPV a lot. My ideal setup is 4 or 5 drones: - neo (indoor, FPV, follow) - avata 2 (its okay, or maybe ill try a more fpv freestyle drone) - mini 4 pro/mini 5 pro/Air 3s (mapping with Lidar/RTK, and follow me on a run) - a big one, like mavic 3/mavic 4/Matrice 30t, for mapping, photography, and maybe even (thermal) inspections. These upcoming releases are super interesting.
I have the 3 Cine currently. Would love for the upcoming 4 to have some of the features the Inspire 3 has. Let me use the RC Plus with it maybe add LUTs to the feed that leaves the controller and Ill buy it day 1.
We have the Mavic 3, the Mni3pro, and a Mavic Enterprise. the Mav3 gets used about every day, the others less. Mav3 does all I need but if there were something of an upgrade Id look at it if it uses the same battery. Stills bump would be good.
I’m gonna say this is not the Mavic 4 but a prototype to test future designs/fearures. Why? The obstacle avoidance sensors are a big change from previous designs. Camera opening looks susceptible to foreign objects/dust getting inside. Camera seems to have no way of easily attaching filters. Aluminium? Heat sink in the base? Just can’t see such a radical change to tried and tested product along with poorly thought out features. But it is just a Quick Look of a crashed drone so we maybe missing a proper view that shows better sealing etc
I currently own two Mini 3 Pros, one Air 3, and one Mavic 3T. I'm looking to add a Avata 2 to my fleet and give me a FPV option to add to my business offerings

I have not liked the dual/triple sensor approach…. Unless one becomes a proper zoom lens, like the amazing mavic 2 zoom. One benefit of multiple lens they don’t use and that’s a shame, is dual recording ! Won’t be replacing current fleet, until they make this change
They should put a 100 milliamp battery inside the drone holding enough power for 45 seconds more than enough time to keep the drone on and be able to hot swap the battery without having to reestablish connections with all the satellites.
I have enough tv production clients that when the flagship Mavic 4 comes out I’ll sell my backup drone and purchase the new one. In this case will sell my Mavic 3 Cine.
