Honestly I don't blame Tsuna for not wanting to the things he was forced to do. He just wanted to be normal guy and chill with his friends. He didn't want to be a shonen protag but due to his OP genetics, he was bascailly forced to fight scary people.
@@nooblyss No…? While both tsuna and ichigo fight for they’re friends, ichigo takes pride in his strength and actively search’s for more. He also enjoys to fight and be a soul reaper, meanwhile if tsuna was bleach’s protagonist he would want nothing to do with hollows, soul reapers, and the soul society in general.
Tsuna and Ichigo are 100% different. Any comparison is silly and foolish. At most you can say “they fight bad guys” “they have powerful inheritance” and “they fight for friends”. Aside from that everything else is completely different.
Tsuna was awesome. I love how he's not the typical wimp who becomes insanely strong through some ridiculous stupid training (like yeah, he does train and get strong, but that's his, let's say, "flame" self. I love how Tsuna, by himself, is not strong at all, but he's righteous and kind hearted. His heart of gold is his biggest strength, and to me (only watched the anime) Tsuna peaked during the Varia arc, where he saved Lambo even though it was against the rules and he told Gokudera to forfeit. Man really is TsunayosHIM Sawada
I was surprised by the amount of subtext there was about Tsuna. The manga never straight up tells you, but just kinda expects you to figure out that Tsuna has a LOT of emotional baggage.
And because of that, like Bleach suffers from ppl not understanding that and simply just go "meh" about the show. Unless it was spoon-fed directly like many animes and like Naruto, where ppl actually be made to purposely speak out all of their feelings so viewers can understand it immediately, it just really don't make sense for some characters, some characters are more reserved than others One good one done was Naruto coping death of Jiraiya, just daily stuff with silence,or even nth at all, which speaks contrast to his usual
The reason why i love Reborn is because it is not about the usual story of "I want to be this or that", but it is about "I don't want to be this or that, i just want to protect my friends".♥️
Tsuna is curious to me, because even with the change he undergoes, we see his future self. He became the head of Vongola. And he protected his friends, a goal he had always had.
He became aligned similar to his TYL version Just as Lal Mirch mentioned, 10 years difference and yet Tsuna is still the same guy. His reason behind his resolve never changed. Simply he despises conflict and wants to protect his friends. Even his TYL actions of destroying the Vongola Rings are akin to his testament to destroying the Vongola itself. Yamamoto even questioned Tsuna on his decision as he mentioned how Tsuna always thought of the Rings as conflict sources and Tsuna wasn't sure, which sure enough makes sense as he doesn't really know clearly what is it he is really living or fighting for. He still figuring it out and going with the flow until later arcs where he grew up enough to know what he wanted and needed. Although it can be argued that it was included as the plans to counteract Byakuran at that timeline as well. This is the same Tsuna but he wasn't at the same point unlike our current Tsuna who interacted with Giotto and understood the original purpose of Vongola, a vigilante group that protects their own and others, even go so far to accept someone who is so out of their mindset. Like Lampo and Daemon. Here, Tsuna deviated from TYL Tsuna, became someone more certain than he would be in TYL, he keeps in with Vongola but more to bring it back to its original roots. Especially when he gained the Original Vongola Ring, this is the turning point for Tsuna from his TYL version. Since none had any idea of the original version to begin with, his TYL was still against these conflicts but continued to his goals, with the sealed version.
I love Tsuna very much. He went from being a boy who was insecure about everything about himself but in the Arcobaleno arc, when he gathered his friends, allies and those who were once his enemies into a side with him and led a huge war with the Vindice. I remember Mukuro was saying that looking at the expression on Tsuna's face, it was clear that he was extremely confident about his victory. Isn't that Tsuna's greatest development? He started as a careless, self-deprecating, weak boy who made no effort in anything, became a person who believed in his winning, worked hard to protect the people he loved, became stronger for his "family". Every time I read someone saying "there was no change in Tsuna" or "Ending was boring" blah blah... Really, I feel like I and those people aren't reading the same manga lol. Tsuna became a big motivation for me, his change is amazing if you sit back and think for a moment. I know a character with a personality like Tsuna is often hated, but actually this type of character is closely related to us and creates a great motivation. Strong, cool characters from the beginning are often more popular but I'm not very interested in this type of character because it's quite boring. This manga is not about whether Tsuna becomes Vongola boss or not but about how Tsuna developed.
Aside, my headcanon is that right now Tsuna still refuses to become Vongola boss but when Tsuna grows up he will change his mind. Because they were so deep into the underworld, also Tsuna even passed the inheritance ceremony and revealed his identity during the ceremony and because he was a direct descendant of Primo. He will "destroy" the current Vongola and build his own Vongola based on Giotto's original ideals. As I said, both Tsuna and his friends have fallen deep into the Mafia so in order to protect the people he loves - his "family", Tsuna will become a boss and gain power and strength. He will still be him, maybe Tsuna will change a little, having a new purpose, a new thought, a new way of life to survive in this harsh Mafia world. Anyway, it's okay if he doesn't become a boss, he's achieved a lot of good things and will continue to live on as a new him
I love that Tsuna doesn't just stay as only being reliable in Dying Will form. As the series progresses he grows more mature and confident, and less freak-outy, while still retaining his timid nature and fear of facing scary situations. He goes from needing Reborn to put him in Dying Will state in order to do something to willingly activating it himself. The way he charged in to rescue Lambo during the Thunder Ring battle, and stood in front of Kyoko at the start of the Future arc, are vastly different from how he was at the start of the series. Then as the Future arc progresses, we see Tsuna accepting the Blood of Vongola, knowing he'll need its power, and then stepping up as the leader when deciding to storm the Millefiore base. Probably my favourite bit of development from him though is when he decides to tell Haru and Kyoko about all the mafia stuff, especially his talk with Kyoko. He stays calm, tells her everything without holding back, reassures her with a confident smile and then faces Ryohei directly without shying away. People criticise Tsuna for constantly saying he doesn't wanna be a mafia boss, but him not changing his mind from start to finish isn't a sign that he has no development. Tsuna just wants a normal, peaceful life and there's nothing wrong with that, and there's no denying that he grows massively throughout the series both in and out of Dying Will state, and that growth doesn't feel jarring.
My main problem with the series is that he DOESNT grow. The author constantly backpedals on character growth in favour of cheap gags. He’ll stand up for his friends in one chapter, grow, and then will go back to being a loser who fails all his tests and has no desire for any growth whether it be physical or mental and is made fun of. Especially the ending. If Tsuna had decided to either completely quit the mafia or be a mafia boss, I’d have been fine, but after he quits he completely regresses back into who he was without any growth. He’s still the exact same loser we saw at the beginning of the series. If he started studying, maybe worked out, tried not being a coward and just ask out his girl, at least it would show that he’s changed as a person, but he hasn’t. Then, the author makes the incomprehensible decision to force him back into the mafia with reborn making him Vongola with a different title. We are back to THE FIRST EPISODE. They erased over hundreds of chapters of character growth to bring us right back to where we started. Then there’s the other question, why doesn’t he join the mafia? Tsuna’s life is awful outside of the mafia. He has no friends, no gf, no grades, no anything other than his mom. It’s not like there’s something that he needs from it, he’s just a coward who is scared to fight, and that doesn’t change by the end. At least make his desire for normalcy understandable outside of his fear. Maybe he has amazing grades and a bright future, maybe he has a beautiful girlfriend who hates the mafia, just anything! His life without the mafia is trash with nothing redeemable. The only reason it’s there is to give the story fake stakes so there’s debate on whether he will or won’t. The author put themselves between a rock and a hard place. If they make Tsuna too cool, and have him actually grow as a person, they can’t make him into a lame gag character for ‘comedy’. But if he does grow and change, it both betrays the initial premise of the story and they’ll have to actually be creative with their jokes instead of ‘hahah underwear funny, Tsuna loser’🙄😒. Anyway that’s my rant.
@@lumenx7499I'll give you the gags and ending being kind of jarring but Tsuna is (and has always been) morally opposed to the mafia. It's not just fear of change or fear of scary people. The manga downplays a lot of the actual violence and exploitation of the mafia for the audience but it does show that just being adjacent to the mafia puts his family and friends in dangerous situations. And unlike Reborn and Hayato who are tied to the mafia already- the reason everyone else is involved is their relationship with Tsuna, if he joins so do they. I think that Tsuna's opposition to the mafia is one of the thing the manga best illustrates honestly and him making a complete u-turn for the sake of power and status would have been a much larger regression than a kid who had to be forced- at gun point- into starting to pass his classes still not doing well after the gun is removed.
@@alexisloveschocolate You make it sound like these are small issues but these are huge issues in the storytelling. No I don’t think that the kid who saved the world and was in hiding for months and saved his friends wouldn’t have the self control to study once in a while. The problem isn’t even that he isn’t a study wizard or something like that, it’s that he doesn’t try, he doesn’t try to be better, strive for something more, he is completely content to live a life of failure. If Tsuna’s main problem with the mafia is it’s corruptness then that would need to be stated over and over. Tsuna almost never talks about it, what does he talk about instead? Him getting hurt. In this universe the Vongola family are basically saints on high who fight bad mafias like superheroes, there isn’t a ‘realistic’ mafia in this world so I don’t think that’s an argument. Also, the only reason he has friends at all is because of the mafia, he had nothing before, he had barely a life, the mafia is what gave him everything. Honestly, I would have been okay if it just seemed like he kept his friends close to him after the ending, but they all seemed to be drifting away without the mafias help. I don’t need him to be in the mafia, I need him to be an actual person without it. Someone who’s grown or done something with his flaws to make this long, long journey worth it. My last problem is that Tsuna is only strong when the story needs him to be. He doesn’t become more decisive, less cowardly(which is seen as his greatest flaw), or more disciplined, no matter what he stays mediocre, it’s almost impressive. I get he does it for his friends it’s just extremely jarring when you go from his snivelling on his knees in front of lightning boy and then he’s fighting back against him with complete determination in 10 episodes. More importantly, does that stick? Does he become less cowardly? No he stays the absolute same. This happens over and over and over again. This show breaks one of the cardinal rules of storytelling, (which if done right is fine but it obviously wasn’t) being that if you have a character with major flaws they shouldn’t stay stagnant because it makes for a less interesting story, and it did. We had a potential masterpiece on our hands, maybe one of the big 3 and just like Tsuna they chose the path of mediocrity, a true pity. I say this as a fan btw. When I was younger I re watched this show almost 7 times, I listened to the theme music when studying or just to hype me up, then I read the manga lol. I write all this because I know what the show could’ve been, how great a premise we had, and I cannot forgive what it turned out to be. If even the author of Naruto can take his character journey seriously, the least we could’ve had was some character progression from Tsuna.
Now that I've read the manga and watched this video, it's been great The development that Tsuna goes through can fall under the radar due to how he acts the same as he was at the start of the series at times but in Reborn's own words that's a good thing, the mafia didn't change who Tsuna was, it just changed his lifestyle for the better It was amazing watching this video and learning some things that I either missed or forgot about Thank you
I agree, that's a very important element for the ending that Amano was trying to convey. Tsuna does act the same but he didn't needed to be different, Reborn and the friends he made along the way accepted him for who he is no matter what. But yes, I'm glad you enjoyed the content I put my whole heart on 🔥 thank you as well
I love how all the main antagonists are complete opposites to Tsuna in one way or another. Xanxus wants power at all costs and doesn't care about others, Tsuna doesn't care about his power and only wants to be with his friends; Byakuran wants to be the main character of the world and sees others as NPCs that make his life more fun, Tsuna doesn't care if he's a nobody and sees others as people that he should respect; Enma cares about his heritage and the past, Tsuna doesn't care about his heritage or the past; Daemon put the strong above the weak, Tsuna wanted the best for everyone.
That's another good point actually! The villains that Amano wrote in the story were intentionally meant to be much more different than the main character, making character dynamic very affective!
I love REBORN! so much, and Tsuna is one of my favorite shounen protagonists. He is basically a normal boy who was thrust into a world with a legacy he never knew of and with powers he has trouble comprehending. The Vongola have a large history, many of which bathed in bloodshed, and Tsuna does not want any part of it. When you think about it, he's a normal kid, like everyone else in our world, who knows how dangerous the Vongola and the world they inhabit is. He denies his claim to the Vongola, actively wants no part of it, but because of his heritage, he is forced into their world regardless. He only actively involves himself with the Vongola because he knows that the people he loves and cares for will be in danger if he doesn't step up, his mom, the kids, Haru, Kyoko, Gokudera, Yamamoto, etc. Heck, he probably would only take over the Vongola because if he doesn't then someone else, much worse, could take over and put everyone in jeopardy! Unlike other Shounen protagonists (with the exception of a few, like Yusuke Urameshi), Tsuna, personality wise, does not change over the course of the series. He retains his scared and sometimes cowardly personality and still rejects his Vongola heritage, but is fiercely loyal to those he cherishes. He doesn't need special powers or "the power of friendship" to bring in people around him, he just acts as himself. He understands that he is cowardly and scared of everything, even acknowledges that he is useless a lot of the time. So many people from different walks of life are drawn to him because of his beliefs and his actions, he saves Gokudera from his own bombs without a single hesitation, saves Yamamoto's life and reminds him that he has a lot to live for (his dad), takes in Lambo, Ippin, and Futa despite their connections, has Mukuro reconsider his world domination plans and takes in Chrome as a friend, GAINS HIBARI'S RESPECT, and helps Ryohei out on numerous occasions. Even Bianchi (who actively tries to kill him a few times), views Tsuna as a good friend and ally, saving him from her ex-boyfriend and helps in other occasions. Even Enma and his Family view him as, not only a great ally, but also a good friend (pretty sure Tsuna and Enma are basically joined at the hip at this point). Wow this was long, sorry for the massive wall of text, but I just love KHR a lot. Tsuna is great, and the characters are too. Great video by the way Red! Edit: You say it way better than this giant wall of text. Again, great video!
Thank you very much for the kind support! ✨❤️ I can also say the same to the wall of text you've commented here, I absolutely love to hear people's thoughts on Tsuna and the series as well as so the comment can be as long or short ❤️ and no, I think you explained it pretty well! You've also made good examples and interesting takes (which is also necessary incase if few people still didn't understand the video) which is exactly why the comment section is here and you've done pretty amazing and safe to say I agree with everything here! ✨❤️ Overall, thank you very much! 🔥
@@Red.Decimo You're welcome! Also I gotta ask, since you did a Tsuna Analysis, will you be doing a similar analysis on his Guardians in the future? This is just a curiosity I had wandering around my mind. If you're not doing it, that fine.
@@silentspirit8923 Well, there are still more certain topics I want to get out of the way first in this channel But yes, I will try my best to do more on the rest of the guardians in the near future when the time is right
I think that's a bit mean towards "most shounen protagonists"! I don't even watch or like a ton of shonen but I can easily name two protagonists who get significant development (Gon from HxH, Tanjiro from Demon Slayer)
This is a story of a high school boy, who by coincidence due to fate had his life changed by a person, since that day he fights against himself he fights in search of happiness, He fights for a normal life constantly, he fights for a life with no regrets, in the end he managed to genuinely smile next to his friends 🔥 what he always wanted
The mc that i connected with the most in that era of anime. Man considered all the misfortune that happened to him as a blessing because through those hardships, he was able to grow as a person and able to make meaningful connections with his familia.
This series has come back on my radar, and I'm glad i found this video. You are making me want to start this again! Good video and keep up the content!
Ur love for this series is so obvious, I can easily feel the passion u wanna share with everyone. Ur a great creator and it's so cool to see someone who creates such quality content comment on khr for once. Ur editing is getting miles better btw keep it up man!!!
Thank you very much for the kind support! ✨❤️ I've learn a lot of things from the series from time to time so hopefully I get to learn more with you guys around. Reading your comment puts a smile on my face knowing that I get this much support from you all to keep me going 🔥 I'll do my best! Thank you once again!!
Amazing. Thank you so much for making this. I've been a long time fan of the series and it is without a doubt my favorite anime, show, and fictional story of all time. You did an amazing job at breaking down the character, and I'm always pleased to see your videos. Please keep up the good work!
Of course Tsuna becomes rhe 10th at the ending becuz the Future Arc showed he will be at the throne whether he like it or not he will still seat as the 10th ❤
He improved so much after the future arc. Still wishing about the continuation of the series. Chapter 409 is more like "Maybe the real treasure was the friends we made along the way"
There are definitely a lot of problems with the show and manga, but dear god do I love it all in its entirety. I used to absolutely hate the first "arc" but then I realized how much it makes you appreciate the tsuna vs mukuro fight and just the rebuke state in general. I really wish the last arcs got animated, and I'll always hold out hope for that because some of those fights... but yeah.
Amazing video. I never noticed(It's been a long time since I've watched the series) but the mafia never made Tsuna change as you said. I mean Tsuna did change, but he didn't become some power hungry killer. Tsuna is one of my fav characters in anime, he has such great character development. I enjoyed this very much and will be checking out your other vids, you got a new subscriber:)
Wow! Thank you for bringing Tsuna into the spotlight. I hope this video can be spread all over to people who doesn't appreciate the series more or less doesn't appreciate Tsuna.
Thank you for the support! ✨ I appreciate the comment And yeah.. Let's hope that happens, and let's also hope that we don't get to hear another complaint from them like "Tsuna is so whiny" "he doesn't develop" yada yada yada
I like your analysis of Tsuna. I couldn't blame Tsuna for rejecting to be a Mafia Boss. He just wanted to be a normal person who had all the responsibility put on him suddenly. I love how he grew throughout the series too. Even Reborn notice in future arc from someone who immediately says 'He couldn't' to 'Maybe' which shows he had more self confidence in himself as compare to before
Exactly, the whole point for him is to overcome his stubborn nature and grow as a person It's not about being the boss, it's about having the responsibility to protect everyone he loves and that's the desire he seeks for
i’ve been waiting for something like this! another one of the shounen goats that went unrecognized not to mention the openings! i genuinely loved them all especially funny sunny day and easy go
Thanks for doing a video about a series that's pretty underrated in the west and it's my all time favourite, Tsuna was the character that i related a lot, he's pretty realistic in a sense, a normal middle schooler thrown in a dangerous world that he knew nothing about, and he grew as the story progressed.
I'm super excited that in 2022 I still come across such a great video about KHR and Tsuna. To me, Tsuna is truly a character full of realism about change and growth. His whole process demonstrates how bright a human being can be if we can find the dying will energy within us. I've seen your 2020 videos, and this one too is a real investment in content when it comes to analyzing Tsuna. Tsuna is a character I've loved for the past 10 years, I didn't even notice him at first, but looking at his progress, I really fell in love with this character. I also feel dissatisfied with the ending of KHR, I think Akira Amano could do better with it, but in terms of content delivery, I think she did a great job portraying a character like Tsuna. Tsuna's change of development isn't as dramatic as many other Shounen characters, but it's still a good lesson that anyone can change if they really want to. And when motivated, they will find ways to learn to grow. The most impressive thing about Tsuna is that we have to accept what happens to us as part of life, as a lesson. From a teenage boy who feels incompetent, always regretting what he didn't do, has become a person with his own will, making his own decisions to protect what he loves, and has friends to look at accepting him for who he is. It's really a big change, and I love how he's not ready to accept being a Mafia Boss yet, he's still a kid who still has a lot to learn and change. I really like your video content, so if possible can I ask your permission to translate your video into Vietnamese?
Thank you very much for the kind support! ✨🔥 Absolutely right, I also find Tsuna to be a very amazing comfort character, anyone that could possibly relate to in certain situations and you've summarized it in a great way and I love reading this comment ❤️ The 2020 version of the Tsuna Analysis, while was admittedly well received, it didn't felt as polish as this one, this one feels more of a reboot version then the previous one, even so I am super glad it turned out well and I'm happy that everyone enjoyed this one as well 🔥 As for your question. Yes, you have my full permission to do so, share it around as much as you can and you can translate it as well! ❤️ That would mean a lot to me, Thanks again! ✨
@@Red.Decimo Thank you for allowing me to translate your video. Moreover, I also like that you guys analyze the characters around Tsuna, or how the villains have a huge influence on his development. Like how we have to choose when faced with difficult situations, and what motivates us when choosing. And how important friends and family are to everyone, this is also the fulcrum and encouragement when Tsuna is in trouble, that forms his pride.
Thank you very much ✨ I deeply appreciate the comment and feedback as well as translating my video, I would love for my message to be shared everywhere and it would help out ❤️ That's another thing, I really loved the last two arcs, mostly with out how beneficial to all the characters involved and not just Tsuna.. People complained that Tsuna never progressed in those arcs, I used to believe that once but the more I revisited those arcs, I started to agree less and less until I think they're definitely wrong. But yeah, Tsuna absolutely has one of the most unique aspects of a protagonist within shonen and seeing him grow is fun to watch ❤️🔥
@@Red.Decimo Yeah, me too. Personally, I also see in the Daily arc, that many people underestimate this arc. They often say this arc is for comedy, but I really think this arc does a good job of portraying Tsuna's personality and relationship with his family. From there we can see how the family members grow up with Tsuna. As for the next two arcs, I think the author also has many shortcomings in arc development, for example, the Daemon figure could have been built better if the character Elena was introduced earlier. Because at first, I thought Daemon was the archetype of a villain who pursued power because he wanted to. The building of the character Elena, so that we can see Daemon's humanity, but it's in the last 2 3 chapters, so we can't understand Daemon well, making Daemon's villain motive a bit harsh. I also really enjoyed the last arc, really this arc would be great if made on anime as it brings back the characters. This arc also shows Tsuna's charisma to everyone including those who have been defeated, which also shows why he is a future leader. I also love how the author builds the villains that Tsuna has to defeat as well as the contradictions, and difficulties when we face problems in life.
@@Red.Decimo Each arc represents what Tsuna needs to overcome if he wants to grow and complete himself. When he met Mukuro, Tsuna faced the terrors of the underworld for the first time, it was also the arc that ended Tsuna's normal days, it pushed him to change or he wouldn't be able to protect his friends. Until we met Xanxus it was the conflict between the two thought leaders, but in the future, we saw that Tsuna and Xanxus were the two sides of Vongola's leadership when Xanxus helped Tsuna do what Tsuna couldn't. Furthermore, what Xanxus encouraged really made Tsuna feel he was on the right track. As for Byakuran as you say, he is pure evil but Byakuran resembles Tsuna in a way. It's like when you don't have the opportunity, there are no situations, and your potential is not developed, however when the time comes, when you are in the right position, your talent will shine. Byakuran too, when he discovered his ability, chose to make the world his toy, while Tsuna chose the opposite. And Enma is another version of him, Enma looks like Tsuna but it's not, looking at Enma, he looks like he's looking at himself. And this time he took a big step in his development to save Enma from the depths of darkness, which shows why he was able to find his pride.
This is the best analysis on Tsuna. I love how you highlighted that him acquiring his Hyper Dying Will mode and changing Mukuro comes from Tsuna himself not because he is pushed by Reborn. And how you contrasted Ichigo with Tsuna's pacificism is so true. Just because he's next in-line to be a mafia leader or that he has OP bloodline, doesn't immediately turn him into a badass.
Enjoying this video rn, but I KNOW it's amazing uwu. The quality is incredible!!! and I won't say more about the topics cause you know my opinion already ewe
I believe everyone wanted what they expected out of Tsuna in the end to line up with how his character was building up to being the boss and the fact that he's the main character. Alot of his development is in subtle ways, with caring for others being his biggest trait. The ending seems inconclusive with what he became but more than likely he didn't due to age and will become 10th boss when he's an adult. I still need to read through myself but I can't wait to catch up on these arcs. You can tell the mangaka put in a ton of effort into the story revolving the battles and I can respect that. Even the Rainbow Curse arc sounds excellent
thank you for the video!! i liked it a lot, i also share these opinions on that the story is touching because it shows a story of a small yet huge and extremely significant personal change that happened to Tsuna. it may seem small compared to something else, but in reality it is what exactly what leads to biggest changes!!
That was really dope bro. Not enough Reborn content going around and you’ve really given us something to enjoy. Long enough to vibe but it doesn’t feel drawn out at all and I believe you did a great job at analyzing who Tsuna truly is by the end of the series. I look forward to more content from you.
Thank you very much.. I truly appreciate the kind supportive comments to get my confidence back in the game haha 🔥 seriously, it means a lot reading it from you Don't worry, there will be more unique Reborn content I am planning on, I may take a while but I am still active around 🔥
Thank you very much for this video! I totally love how in depth you explained Tsuna's development. I can never stress it enough, Tsuna's character development is one of the most realistic ones out there. He changes and matures bit by bit without losing his core. I highly believe that it was most emphasized during his argument with Reborn about giving up against the curse. I still remember myself feeling shookt with what Tsuna did there and how he was able to gather everyone to fight alongside him. The first Arc Tsuna would have never done that. It showed how he is truly a charismatic leader. I also lean towards positive with the last chapter, it may seem lacking (because it is and I want more chapters of him being the boss) it tells us that he will not be the 10th boss of the Bloodthirsty Vongola but rather the boss of the Vigilante Vongola thus he becomes the Neo Vongola Primo.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! ✨🔥 It's nice to know that people thought of the same thing about Tsuna too, most of his moments in the final arc had me at the edge of my seat too! But yeah, you're absolutely right too, the ending wasn't as bad as people say it is as it was faithful to Tsuna's character.
What an amazing analysis... I may not have english as my native language, but still was a very good experience to watch your video! Congratulations for making us think about the last chapter from a different perspective. It was such a pleasure to remember all of those nostalgic moments and really understand Tsuna's development as a character and a person. Thank you so much! 😸
Yeah.. Though I don't really focus much on numbers but I will say so far so good Glad you finally knew, there are certain works I'll be focusing on in the future~ 🔥 hope you look forward to it!
This is my favourite anime with Tsuna and Reborn being some of my favorite characters. It was a fun ride, with older animes getting revivals I hope one day we can get the last two arcs animated.
Knocked it out of the park as usual homie, Your editing on a new level and your passion for this series will always be amazing, Keep up the great work brother!
Miss this anime, this series has so much unexplored potiential, it’s a shame that it’s so underrated. I hope they decide to bring it back one day so we can see the best arcs getting animated.
@@Red.Decimo I think I may have seen one of your videos lol anything hitman reborn and ill be there really is an underrated anime sure wish they gave it a reboot or something
We all do, we all do Technically I believe it's possible, given how still popular the series is in Japan, so there is a shining hope (plus, it's being advertised frequently, exactly like how Bleach was prior to its eventual return)
With your review, i finally understand that tsuna is really dependent to reborn at first, because he is his mentor, and he lead tsuna's life into doing better in life. So that's why i'm crying when 4th opening comes out and the scenes where tsuna is looking for reborn and to find that he come to the future where reborn was not there and he felt so lost in a new world. It felt so real to me and thank god i finally understood it after 10+ years after watching it
@@Red.Decimo yes it does, even though reborn ending was kinda rushed, but it's quite a ride for me to enjoy the journey of the future arc, so many emotional and character development from each character not only from tsuna. Also i think byakuran has the aizen 'vibe' from bleach that is the mid arc villain that felt like last boss and really unbeatable, and imho i think byakuran 'choose' himself to be defeated by tsuna 😂
Really enjoyed watching this vid as someone who enjoys Hitman Reborn... Something about that last chapter, almost reminds me a bit, like Byakurans character who had knowledge of all the multiverses/diff timelines, but it is thrown, instead of a Negative aspect as to how Byakuran did things, it turns into a Positive, as we are seeing a new timeline play out but by a Tsuna who has knowledge of the other timelines/multiverses.
Thank you very much for the kind support! ✨ And yeah, that definitely make sense given that the future arc does play a big role in the series and it became a welcoming thing in the end ✨
@@Red.Decimo I have also reviewed Katekyo Hitman Reborn! on my channel as well, plus to have some more going up around the 13th of July here in Australia, might be the 12th of July where you might live

You were the one who replied to my comment on the Studio Yuraki cover of drawing days. I never knew you made an analysis until just now!! I can tell you really love Reborn just by how much effort you put into studying the character. Btw, that reply, I didn't get a chance to say it. But thank you for your kind words.
I remembered you as well, I tend to go back to that Studio Yuraki Reborn cover to listen to it from time to time and I did stumbled upon both of our comments a few times Though I didn't expect we'd reunite in here in any of my videos but I'm glad we did ❤️ I do hope you enjoy my other works! And don't worry about it, you're already very welcome, my friend. I hope at least you're entertained with my analysis or laugh and smile cause of my silliness 😅 Overall, I thank you as well for the amazing comment and support! 🙏
@@Red.Decimo I am just happy that someone actually recognized Tsuna's character wasn't getting resetted, and actually explored WHY he would do what he did in the manga. You even mentioned how Tsuna wouldn't want to become a Mafia Boss because of how violent/ cruel it is and who he is as a person. That it's not, necessarily the natural end point to his character and how it might very well be a dead end. That at the end of the day, he gained the power to make his destiny. I can't tell you how much I appreciated hearing that. I honestly wished that we got a timeskip for Reborn, where we can explore Tsuna's new founded agency he developed in the last arc. There is still a lot unexplored, from Tsuna asserting himself against things he was being forced into, or having never even visited Italy so it's an ideal location for a story about the Mafia, we could even dive deeper into Giotto's or Iemitsu's lives, develop Tsuna's connection to the 9th Boss or even his Dad some more, explore Reborn's mysterious history prior to the Arcobaleno, Tsuna's ultimate decision, and explore how dynamics in the tightknit friend group has changed as they grow older, etc. Like I would love to see how asserive Tsuna would handle being thrown into a full scale battlefield.
I can bet you in one of many alternate timelines tsuna strength is billion times stronger beyond comprehension than his main timeline counterpart due to different events that shaped an alternate tsuna where he going against above god universe level characters And this why I like anime/manga when timelines are in the mix it really gets you into the stories on why one timeline version of a character is weaker physically than the alternate timeline version
I remember binge watching Reborn as a kid in like 6th grade on Hulu. I loved it so much, at the time I sister get why but now looking back, I saw myself in Tsuna, I wasn't particular great at anything I did, you could say I wasn't bad but just average. I had and still have an intense pride, passion, and love for my friends, new and old. And I've always been the pacifist type, I'll throw some hands if I have to, but overall unless I feel like I'm in so much danger thst I need to, the only reason I fight anyone is for my friends. I saw myself as Tsuna, just a kid who had a crush on a Girl wayy out of my league, and was average at everything he did. We were one in the same, and sure all the flash moves and cool stuff going on was hype, I never found myself going "X Burner" in my room, I simply was along for the ride like all his other friends, as if I was reslly there being a part of the family. Reborn is so underrated in general for how it manages to make you attached and feel something, for how everyone is important. The willpower Tsuna showed throughout the entire series was something I wish I could mimic a fraction of. Sure, he's a "loser." Sure, he's unpopular, but weren't all of us at some point? what matters if not us staying a loser, staying unpopular, staying in that negative mindset and position, but working to improve ourselves, to make everyone around you see the real you, and be the best version of yourself. I just want to thank you for making this video and reuniting me with my long lost love Reborn, you did a great job with this man, and I want to condragulate you.
Amano was a little lazy in characterizing Tsuna, though. We know a lot about what he doesn't want but we know very little about what he does want. The only "want" we're given is Kyoko and that's gross as she's sort of a stand in for a trophy. What kind of future did he want? Did he want to become a salary man? Did he think he would work in retail all his life, just getting by? Did he dream of being a video game tester? We know he doesn't want to be a mafia boss but that doesn't matter since we don't know what it is he wanted instead that he will now miss out on. Lacking that depth, his insistence to avoid the mafia is not very impactful. Amano not having him deal with the fact he murdered someone for the first time (Byakuran) was a real let down as well. I know the story started as a parody but she robbed him of several instances of growth by removing important moments of reflection. Also? The battle between him and Iemitsu was such revisionist BS! Iemitsu is the worst father! Justice for Tsuna
my review after watching about 15± episode is every episode using the same template😭 it is always like this: tsuna having a problem > reborn shot deathperation bullet > problem solved
I'm seriously crying... LOL This was a fantastic overview of Tsuna's growth. I'm so glad I'm not the only one obsessed with this show and its characters. My friends have cosplayed many groups from this show. Future arc Varia, general school uniforms of the Vongola 10th crew, the adult versions of the Arcobaleno (I was Fong, and since I'm overweight, I keep joking that I looked like a giant tomato LOL but we had fun!) and I even cosplayed as 15 year old Lambo, but had to wear a green dress shirt because I couldn't find a cowprint one that fit me! I just rewatched the series again over the past couple of weeks. I really should find and read the last two arcs of the manga again. I don't know that I've ever read the final arc, but I know I checked out the arc with Enma's family and got very confused lol.

@@Red.Decimo But I wished you touched on Tsuna and is Parents a bit more like his somewhat dysfunctional relationship with his Mother despite her being kind to him but doesn't believe in her son like the interaction with Kyoko and Haru calling his son Good for Nothing prompting them to get angry and enter dying will mode.
The anime series really did make a big, impression on me. I enjoyed every single episode, from the regular to filler and including the ending as well, I never found any of the first 20 eps boring, I like that everything was comical at first, but looking at the first opening of the show, Drawing Days, I already knew things were going to get very serious moving forward, but it kept the light hearted moments to a T. The opening and ending themes throughout the seasons are great, but Famiglia really hits you in the feels, especially after seeing what everyone has been through, they're still together as a family. Tsuna really is a relatable MC, and I'll always enjoy the main themes of the series, both Manga and the anime. Resolve and Believing in one's self.
Katekyo Hitman Reborn is probably one of the most fundamentally misunderstood anime out there with one of the most endearing yet misrepresented MC's to ever grace the pages of Shonen Jump. I've said it before and I'll say it till I'm blue in the face, Tsuna is a relatable, endearing and enjoyable MC that many will misrepresent, slander and write off because he's not the "WAKA, WAKA I'mma punch the guy in the shnoze datebayo" MC's people are used to. You said it perfectly in the video that he's most analogues to Ichigo in that he doesn't have a goal other than wanting to live a peaceful, happy life and protect his family at all costs.
Tsuna is more closer to us than other typical MCs, people should understand how an MC like Tsuna can connect to people like us and in a way it makes him unique I'm just glad so many people are understanding his character based on all the comments I'm getting so far and I thank you for that ✨
Honestly nyonmarus grandon is very similar. Is a kid that is not willing to lead the mafia, but also awakns his yokai side as quarter yokai , and the struggle fitrt to unify that side, as he very much loves and ants to protect the enevolent yokain mafia fraction. A fair bit is him forging bonds with the members that come into play later as they literally end up being a way to make him stronger. Not the same and he has more confidence, but i think thy are fairly similar. Through diferent. And i take him not talkimg to destro vongola is more destroying the bad vongola by reforming it.
One thing I hate the most its people talk shit about Tsuna should just shut up and stop 'whinning' about not wanting to be Decimo, THATS THE BIGGEST PART OF HIS CHARACTER! He also hates fighting! There is nothing wrong with that! Tsuna _hates_ the Vongola, he hates it so fucking much. His heritage, Giotto's legacy. He wants to destroy Vongola, promised it. He is very stubborn if nothing else, for all people ignores his wants and desires. Vongola Neo Primo, not just Decimo. Its part of him, of his will.
Very true. You see, terrible takes like: "He should've been a mafia boss and just accepts it" "I hate Tsuna's personality, he should stop whinning" "He never changed at all throughout the story" Are unfortunately very common takes than you think. Many people who have the same sentiments as this and casually drop these kinds of bad takes (Twitter and especially Reddit) really don't understand what the series is trying to accomplish. Many people are so used to the standard shonen tropes of hotshot main characters who are very brave and having a sense of goal and achieving the very thing they wanted, in the context of the characters world like living in a world full of pirates, wizards and ninjas it makes sense, there's nothing wrong with people being used to that as they only watch anime to escape reality. Tsuna is more relatable because he has a realistic personality trope, he lives in a world that's similar to our society and he himself only has a goal to protect his friends and has no business in being a mafia boss and that's why Tsuna is both very beloved and also quite hated Tsuna is one of the few youngest shonen protagonist in history, making him onpar with the likes of Gon from HxH and Emma from The Promised Neverland and people assume that at such age its possible to be a mafia boss, but when it comes to someone who has no interest in killing, just wants to have a normal life, generally hates all kinds of violence, an absolute pacifist and only wants to keep his friends at bay from danger, I don't see why making such person a criminal leader
Actually, not only Tsuna, but people think other characters that aren't Tsuna would happily accept don't understand becoming Decimo is not a _good thing._ Its the Mafia, a world of blood and death, and the previous heirs died gruesome deaths, he would have to move to Italy and give up any dreams for the future and career he might have, his family and friends are in constant danger, his future children and wife would be trapped too, and he's dragged and forced to clean older generation's messes. Expected to quiety drop anything going on his life to become a criminal? Any sane person (even more 'bold ones') would not want it and would refuse like Tsuna useless they were _already_ in the Mafia. Yeah, lets become a Mafia Boss! Like...what...? Hn...no? Having your entire life and time _hijacked_ like that? Lose my freedom like this? People who think they have the right to dictate my life? _Against my Will?_ I would be _furious_ I feel Tsuna's lowkey used as a pawn, especially on the Varia Arc, guess he thought it too at some point. I hate Iemitsu and Timoteo. And the Vongola too. They nearly ruined Tsuna's life. Reborn's violent and pushy methods don't help, its very stressful. Tsuna's went through a lot and I don't blame him for begin angry. For all his initial 'weakness', Tsuna's stubborn mule and I love him for it. He kinds just want to survive. His hate for Mafia, for Vongola is the best of his character. He never became a Mafia Boss in the end, he's a Vigilant.
This video was absolutely amazing! Thank you. Ever thought how similar and different Reborn is to Fairy Tail? For example they have similar themes of found family and self-worth but explore them differently. They even came out the same time. It might make for a good video.
@@Red.Decimo There is also superficial stuff like names Tsuna and Natsu but even Laxus and Xanxus. I know the name roots are different, but the fact that these shows came out around the same time, and have a lot of similarities but clear distinctions that just come across as coincidences, kind of interest me. Tsuna alone having abilities like the main cast of Fairy Tail. A partner pet cat that he can summon from his ring, also it can fly, he make ice, and of course the fire powers to. Oh, and pacifistic nature/ gentle Sky themes like Wendy.
Honestly I don't blame Tsuna for not wanting to the things he was forced to do. He just wanted to be normal guy and chill with his friends. He didn't want to be a shonen protag but due to his OP genetics, he was bascailly forced to fight scary people.
Sooooooo, Ichigo Kurosaki.

Yep
I was surprised by the amount of subtext there was about Tsuna. The manga never straight up tells you, but just kinda expects you to figure out that Tsuna has a LOT of emotional baggage.
And because of that, like Bleach suffers from ppl not understanding that and simply just go "meh" about the show.
Unless it was spoon-fed directly like many animes and like Naruto, where ppl actually be made to purposely speak out all of their feelings so viewers can understand it immediately, it just really don't make sense for some characters, some characters are more reserved than others
One good one done was Naruto coping death of Jiraiya, just daily stuff with silence,or even nth at all, which speaks contrast to his usual
The reason why i love Reborn is because it is not about the usual story of "I want to be this or that", but it is about "I don't want to be this or that, i just want to protect my friends".♥️
One of the few shonen protag with the drip as the story progress .
It still hurts that we never gotten to finish the last 2 arc of this series
Tsuna is curious to me, because even with the change he undergoes, we see his future self. He became the head of Vongola. And he protected his friends, a goal he had always had.
He became aligned similar to his TYL version
Just as Lal Mirch mentioned, 10 years difference and yet Tsuna is still the same guy.
It's understandable
@@lumenx7499 wow! You said it so good! Totally agree
Now that I've read the manga and watched this video, it's been great
The development that Tsuna goes through can fall under the radar due to how he acts the same as he was at the start of the series at times but in Reborn's own words that's a good thing, the mafia didn't change who Tsuna was, it just changed his lifestyle for the better
It was amazing watching this video and learning some things that I either missed or forgot about
Thank you
I agree, that's a very important element for the ending that Amano was trying to convey.
@@Red.Decimohey watch this anime

But yes, I will try my best to do more on the rest of the guardians in the near future when the time is right
Yusuke and Tsuna are top tier protags!
Literally my top 2-3.
I've learn a lot of things from the series from time to time so hopefully I get to learn more with you guys around. Reading your comment puts a smile on my face knowing that I get this much support from you all to keep me going 🔥

Appreciate it fam 🔥
Been trying to step my game up overtime! Thanks for the support brother!!
Amazing. Thank you so much for making this. I've been a long time fan of the series and it is without a doubt my favorite anime, show, and fictional story of all time. You did an amazing job at breaking down the character, and I'm always pleased to see your videos. Please keep up the good work!
I deeply appreciate the support! 🔥 Thank you very much
I love finding people who love and appreciate this masterpiece as much as me thank you for your work and keep it up.
✨ I appreciate the comment
And yeah..
Even Reborn notice in future arc from someone who immediately says 'He couldn't' to 'Maybe' which shows he had more self confidence in himself as compare to before
Exactly, the whole point for him is to overcome his stubborn nature and grow as a person
It's not about being the boss, it's about having the responsibility to protect everyone he loves and that's the desire he seeks for
i’ve been waiting for something like this! another one of the shounen goats that went unrecognized not to mention the openings! i genuinely loved them all especially funny sunny day and easy go
Thanks for doing a video about a series that's pretty underrated in the west and it's my all time favourite, Tsuna was the character that i related a lot, he's pretty realistic in a sense, a normal middle schooler thrown in a dangerous world that he knew nothing about, and he grew as the story progressed.
My pleasure! Thank you so much for the support! ✨
Tsuna has always been my favorite character too and I'm glad I'm not the only one!
Absolutely right, I also find Tsuna to be a very amazing comfort character, anyone that could possibly relate to in certain situations and you've summarized it in a great way and I love reading this comment ❤️ The 2020 version of the Tsuna Analysis, while was admittedly well received, it didn't felt as polish as this one, this one feels more of a reboot version then the previous one, even so I am super glad it turned out well and I'm happy that everyone enjoyed this one as well 🔥
As for your question.
Thank you very much ✨ I deeply appreciate the comment and feedback as well as translating my video, I would love for my message to be shared everywhere and it would help out ❤️
That's another thing, I really loved the last two arcs, mostly with out how beneficial to all the characters involved and not just Tsuna..
Just because he's next in-line to be a mafia leader or that he has OP bloodline, doesn't immediately turn him into a badass.
the most underrated anime of all times
This is what I'm waiting for. I love it 😍😍
Then you'll love it more by the end 😎🔥
Enjoying this video rn, but I KNOW it's amazing uwu. The quality is incredible!!! and I won't say more about the topics cause you know my opinion already ewe
Thank you as always, Lushi ❤️🔥
And yeah, I already do know your thoughts.. but your presence alone counts as a support so thanks a lot ✨
beautiful
I believe everyone wanted what they expected out of Tsuna in the end to line up with how his character was building up to being the boss and the fact that he's the main character. Alot of his development is in subtle ways, with caring for others being his biggest trait. The ending seems inconclusive with what he became but more than likely he didn't due to age and will become 10th boss when he's an adult.
I still need to read through myself but I can't wait to catch up on these arcs. You can tell the mangaka put in a ton of effort into the story revolving the battles and I can respect that. Even the Rainbow Curse arc sounds excellent
He’s the ultimate form of the fighting trope of mc fighting for his friends
thank you for the video!! i liked it a lot, i also share these opinions on that the story is touching because it shows a story of a small yet huge and extremely significant personal change that happened to Tsuna. it may seem small compared to something else, but in reality it is what exactly what leads to biggest changes!!
I truly appreciate the kind supportive comments to get my confidence back in the game haha 🔥 seriously, it means a lot reading it from you
Don't worry, there will be more unique Reborn content I am planning on, I may take a while but I am still active around 🔥
@@Red.Decimo Glad to hear it
This was a lovely surprise, very well thought out and executed content! I was looking for something like this just yesterday too
Thank you very much! I appreciate the support
Well you're lucky that you found it now ✨
Thank you very much for this video!
I've watched some of the video and it's great so far but I'll come back when I've read the whole manga
Feel free to come by when you finish the manga any time ❤️
And thank you for the support! ✨

What an amazing analysis... I may not have english as my native language, but still was a very good experience to watch your video! I really hope this comes back
With Bleach and HXH coming back. I really would love to see the rest of the manga be made into a anime
We all do, we all do
Technically I believe it's possible, given how still popular the series is in Japan, so there is a shining hope (plus, it's being advertised frequently, exactly like how Bleach was prior to its eventual return)
Tsuna ran so midoriya could walk
Pretty much 🔥
With your review, i finally understand that tsuna is really dependent to reborn at first, because he is his mentor, and he lead tsuna's life into doing better in life. So that's why i'm crying when 4th opening comes out and the scenes where tsuna is looking for reborn and to find that he come to the future where reborn was not there and he felt so lost in a new world. It felt so real to me and thank god i finally understood it after 10+ years after watching it
I'm happy it made you understand and I really hope you enjoyed it as well
The future arc is one of the most climatic arcs in the series
@@Red.Decimo yes it does, even though reborn ending was kinda rushed, but it's quite a ride for me to enjoy the journey of the future arc, so many emotional and character development from each character not only from tsuna. Also i think byakuran has the aizen 'vibe' from bleach that is the mid arc villain that felt like last boss and really unbeatable, and imho i think byakuran 'choose' himself to be defeated by tsuna 😂
Yessir the man himself SAWADA TSUNAYOSHI!!!!!!
THE GOAT!! 💯✨
And yeah, that definitely make sense given that the future arc does play a big role in the series and it became a welcoming thing in the end ✨

Oh it is, thank you for stopping by!
Hope you enjoyed it! 🔥
Haha, the well-lit room disclaimer that they put at the beginning at a lot of older anime
That's where I got the inspiration from 👀
I can bet you in one of many alternate timelines tsuna strength is billion times stronger beyond comprehension than his main timeline counterpart due to different events that shaped an alternate tsuna where he going against above god universe level characters
And this why I like anime/manga when timelines are in the mix it really gets you into the stories on why one timeline version of a character is weaker physically than the alternate timeline version
You earned a sub. Wish there where more people doing video's on this manga
Should definitely do this with the other characters
Once I get certain topics out of the way first, expect an analysis on the guardians
THAT WAS THE K-TOUCH SOUND EFFECT IN THE BEGINNING KAMEN RIDER FAN SPOTTED
👀
*KAMEN RIDE*
*DECADE!*
I'm glad this only happen only during the first arc

I follow you on Twitter and found this just now!
Glad to see you here! Hope you enjoyed the content ❤️

GO RED WOOOOOOO!!!!!
REBOOOOOORNNN!!! 🔥
Tsuna is more closer to us than other typical MCs, people should understand how an MC like Tsuna can connect to people like us and in a way it makes him unique
I'm just glad so many people are understanding his character based on all the comments I'm getting so far and I thank you for that ✨
This is a series that Definitely deserves a Non-CGI Brotherhood treatment
Honestly nyonmarus grandon is very similar. Is a kid that is not willing to lead the mafia, but also awakns his yokai side as quarter yokai , and the struggle fitrt to unify that side, as he very much loves and ants to protect the enevolent yokain mafia fraction.
A fair bit is him forging bonds with the members that come into play later as they literally end up being a way to make him stronger.
Not the same and he has more confidence, but i think thy are fairly similar.
Through diferent.
And i take him not talkimg to destro vongola is more destroying the bad vongola by reforming it.
This anime needs to finish ❤
That was such a good video keep up the good work!!!
Thank you very much! I appreciate it a lot ✨
Good job!
🔥❤️
Thank you
One thing I hate the most its people talk shit about Tsuna should just shut up and stop 'whinning' about not wanting to be Decimo, THATS THE BIGGEST PART OF HIS CHARACTER!
Very true. You see, terrible takes like:
"He should've been a mafia boss and just accepts it"
"I hate Tsuna's personality, he should stop whinning"
"He never changed at all throughout the story"
Are unfortunately very common takes than you think. Tsuna is more relatable because he has a realistic personality trope, he lives in a world that's similar to our society and he himself only has a goal to protect his friends and has no business in being a mafia boss and that's why Tsuna is both very beloved and also quite hated
Tsuna is one of the few youngest shonen protagonist in history, making him onpar with the likes of Gon from HxH and Emma from The Promised Neverland and people assume that at such age its possible to be a mafia boss, but when it comes to someone who has no interest in killing, just wants to have a normal life, generally hates all kinds of violence, an absolute pacifist and only wants to keep his friends at bay from danger, I don't see why making such person a criminal leader
_Against my Will?_ I would be _furious_
I feel Tsuna's lowkey used as a pawn, especially on the Varia Arc, guess he thought it too at some point.
Yeah, that's why for me Tsuna is the most realistic mc out of the most shonen mc out there.
This video was absolutely amazing! Thank you.
Ever thought how similar and different Reborn is to Fairy Tail? For example they have similar themes of found family and self-worth but explore them differently. They even came out the same time. It might make for a good video.
It was compared to Fairy Tail a couple times, yeah they do have certain similarities in a way
@@Red.Decimo There is also superficial stuff like names Tsuna and Natsu but even Laxus and Xanxus.
Oh, and pacifistic nature/ gentle Sky themes like Wendy.
will be waiting for the d gray man video
It's in the notes, don't worry 📝👀
Great analysis !
Thank you very much! I appreciate it✨
