Howdy, Brother! Very helpful. I'll be replacing my carburetor, fuel filter, air filter and fuel lines next week. The time and effort you put into this video is greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much for this video! I used it to install the HIPA carb kit in my P3816 and now it runs great! I had to adjust the L on the carb to get it to start up, by the way.
Excellent video...running like a champ! Especially appreciated the end of video tune up. Not only well done on the demo of replacing the parts, but added that last step. Thanks again!
Great, told me just what I need to know. Hopefully this saw will now be my best friend instead of my worst enemy.... Just finished the job and the saw works great! You saved me a lot of time and $$$!
One question, but Great video. My saw is leaking gas somewhere now. Do the fuel caps on these saws eventually start leaking? Or maybe it is leaking through the hole where I replaced fuel lines? Haven't taking it back apart yet, but wanted to get in the cue in advance so I would know what to diagnose first.
Great video but I only see one hole for a fuel line on the left that goes into the tank. I don’t see anywhere else to put a line. I have model P3816. I’m I missing something or do they have different designs over the years. I wish I took pictures before I took it apart. Thanks in advance for your help.
there are 2 screws on the carb next to each other for fuel adjustment. the one closest to the air filter 1/4 turn counterclockwise here is the tools amzn.to/3HDgGIo
@@smallengineguys Filter is connected and clean, I don't think anything pinched. i cleaned carb screen, the line on right side left little long to pull filter out and change in future. maybe too long? only 1.5 to 2" long. gas cap rubber vent opens when I squeeze it. Cap does leak gas. out vent at times. Got me stumped. i never want to see another Poulan Craftsman saw. Stihl or Husqvarna. Thankyou for your response.
Your instructions are STELLAR. I just rebuilt the P3816 16" model. I had to use a dremel to saw off the metal tip. Come to find out the fuel line and filter drew fuel from the top of the tank where the primer bulb tubing should drain priming excess fuel into top of tank. Factory put the 2 tubings reversed. My hubs said he always had to tip it up to get fuel and sometimes it would stall out while he was using it. Tell your GF hello. THANK YOU, from the Hubs' Mrs Fixit.
My first comment is, why would you waste your time on a saw? That was no good when it was bought brand new? My second is it pronounced polan not pull on

I just replaced this and I can't get to start at all, about how far out did you have to go on the L screw?
@@holeshot1982 I think about 2 turns. Unfortunately the Carb is not pulling fuel anymore :/
@@linuxsurfer2002 yeah mine never worked.... I put the old one back one with the new fuel lines and primer bulb and it worked.
@@holeshot1982 I put my old carb back in and it tries to crank but won't stay running. I'm about through messing with this thing honestly.
@@linuxsurfer2002 I was at the same point myself.
Great video, guy! I'm curious where your shop is -- sounds like you have a road running through it!
This is awesome. All my lines starting getting hard and failing at once so I'm going to do exactly what you are doing here!
You got this!
Excellent video . Thanks for making replacing fuel lines and carb. uncomplicated . Keep your videos coming .
Thanks, will do!

Like the step by step process you have done to make this video show simple.

Great video thank you made replacing my fuel lines very easy
Thanks.
You didn't mention fuel line sizes, especially given you changing the routing.
Are you just using one size line for everything?
Yes it's in description but I think it's 3/16
I have fuel coming out of the tank past the line, do you know where I can get that rubber gourmet from?
Thanks very much! Especially the primer bulb and fuel adjustment.
Glad it helped

Never mind, I found the hole on the right. Something black fell over it making it impossible to see. I got it out with some needle nose pliers. 👍
Thank you for sharing your knowledge dude I’m fixing my friend’s chainsaw and this it’s the right video man 🤟🏻
No problem 👍
I sure wish my Poulan Pro would start that easily!
It can.
Great video! Thanks for the tip on the HIPA kit. I'm ordering it now.
Glad it was helpful!
Very good, I got my chainsaw, slinging chips again. Thanks
Nice vid, was doing the same job and found a plastic fitting in mine, it's a hose barb on both sides, any idea what it could be for?
Nice video. Mine is a little different but same scenario. Doing mine tomorrow. Thanks buddy stay safe
Thanks, you too!
that was great but do Ineed to adjust both screws or are they preset
they are preset. 1 turn from snug tight.
Hey boss great video. Any idea why my chainsaw is still bogging down when full throttle.

thank you
You're welcome
Hi you didn’t say how many turns for the h&l screws
1 full turn out
That’s on both screws
Good job
P3416 saw only runs upside down? gas cap fuel tank?
fuel lines and filter
@@smallengineguys Done primer works when upside down.
@@matthewaustin3934 sounds like filter is disconnected or fuel line pinches shut when upright
