Hey do u think its a problem if i have 110k memory on my tycoon and ive done this method to lower it and publish it. would it crash by having 110k instead of 100k ?
@@AsicsoN okay 1 more question, is it worth converting static meshes to props so i can use this method, for an example ive placed buildings for my town in the tycoon, should i convert them to props so i can use this
@@widhip5551 To make it work yes all copies of a single static mesh must be props. Even if at least one will stay as static mesh then it still will hit your memory. So yes plan accordingly, don't rush with that.
@@widhip5551 If all copies will be converted then you definitely will reduce memory in calculation as it will remove them. They won't add extra cost behind the scene if you will remove them from calculation. So if you play your map now without any issues, by bypassing memory calculation you will still have same map but with less in memory meter.
my memory calculation is frozen, I’ve pushed all changes, restarted my pc, turned it off and on again etc and the memory is WAY below the limit so what’s going on??
Sometimes level streaming can affect memory calculation speed and I think may even freeze it, but I personally never had such issue. But I saw already few people complaining about it after last update, so potentially could be something on Epic side.
@@KDCyclist-ej9ng I would recommend contant Epic Support. Maybe they aware that something is going on with memory calculation. As I don't have such issue I can't say what exactly to do.
Ive caught up.

@@widhip5551 Shouldn't be an issue with small amount. But if possible to test on phone def do it.

@@AsicsoN whats level streaming?
@@KDCyclist-ej9ng Inside World Settings we can enable world streaming.
It splits level into grids and loads/unloads them based on distance to camera.
@@AsicsoN so what should I do? ty
