I joined the Navy in 78' Attack Submariner my first boat most of the weapons department trained hand to hand...

For those of you complaining about aggressiveness, there are rules they still have to follow, so they have to not break each other's bones. if some Marines in their MCMAP mindset were yelling at them it might be a bit harder, but even Marines aren't allowed to break each other's stuff.

Even HARD knee kicks against Body Armor, are barely felt & are a WASTE; do HARD Front Snap Kicks to his LEGS ( just above the Ankle ), then follow on with that "Hane Goshi" Hip Throw. Remember WARRIORS, You are NOT fighting for "points" in a "injury lawsuit" civilianized Marshmallow School of Castrated Martial Arts; You are FIGHTING FOR YOUR LIVES !!! The way that You practice, is the way that You will do it in War.

Thats me doing the hip toss! I still remember this. It was so last minute. SSG Gwin and York. Body armor, plate carrier and rubby ducky at the RANGER pit 0630. What are we doing? I got told just fight. And the KNEES are only to set up the hip throw. Once flet his hip go out I claimed it with the hip throw. Thank you yall.

We use to teach hand to hand in the Army. You had to take the enemy out.

After this, those soldiers never did this again. In fact, they told stories about the one time they did half speed combatives to their joes on CQ and while hiding in the barracks during the duty days.
If youre out of ammo u have a big heavy chuck of metal in ur hand. Trust me, i promise it won't hurt the rifle 😂

They are both young and dont know what fight to the death actually lopoks like. These guys are just wrestling around like athletes. In time they will learn to fight like warriors. And understand the difference. -2 for thinking that kneeing a guy in the body armor is a good idea. - 5 for both for playing grab ass with unused weapons dangling off their bodies. Dude actually grabbed his weapon and thought this is in my way, lets move it over here and see who can to third base first..
At least they’re getting after training where most don’t. It’s hard to get this even approved, unless its a level 1 or 2 cert. technically every unit should be practicing hand to hand once a week per tc 3-25.150. But don’t because they don’t want injuries… I get what you’re saying but Mistakes WILL happen but learning from mistakes will make them better eventually. It’s only stupid if they don’t/aren’t willing to learn what is stupid in the 1st place.
Well if you look closely you will notice he moved the rubber ducky to his hip is bait. The knees arent necessary to stop him but to get him to move his hips back while reaching for the weapon. That gave him the opportunity / space for the hips toss. That dude is me actually.
The idea of what they're doing is supposed to be how to immediately STOP 🛑 the other individual from having the chance to injure or kill you first.

Love the US Army, but we got a long way to go here. The Chinese are much better at close quarter than this. The North Korean Army is as well. Agree more training is needed.
Most of what they put out is propaganda,they train a platoon to do it and make it look like all 3 million Chinese/North Korean soldiers can. Besides it’ll be rare for them to get close to an American soldier.

Because they are practicing for "Close Quarters Combat" where ENEMY is so close, that there just isn't time ( or space ) to even raise that Blaster & bring it to effective actions
