I completely agree. Ive😢spent hours trying to recreate these hairdos but it never comes close. I have very thick hair and I can't get the same manipulation as the videos shows. Also, all my underneath strands came out with any activity. It doesn't have the same appeal with all the loose neck hair dangling out.
As 'per usual', one small hank of that dummy's hair is thicker than what covers my entire head. Plus the hairs are thicker than mine, AND is stiffer than natural hair. I will never achieve what is shown here. SO disappointing for most viewers.

I think you are missing the point, these styles are for short, thin hair to make them look long and thick.
