      Thank you for your comment. If I have to choose for bushcraft preferences. It would be LT, puukko and the original bushcrafter.

    Simply stunning! The colour contrast between orange burlap, white and steel, is one of the most vivid around. In terms of colour contrast and together with multi coloured elder burls, pine cone-resin and kirinite handles, they're head and shoulders, above anything else! Thank you for the review. Btw what's the name of the black bushcrafter?

      Thank you. I think this combo is pretty nice too. The black bushcrafter is the first bushcrafter that Bark River made.But is in cpm 154.Thank you for watching and commenting.

    Do you like the original bushcraft we better? Seems like it batons better than the LT due to its thickness. I already consider the bushcrafter a light knife but anyway I’m wondering which one you prefer for fire making.

    I'm sorry for the measurement. I say 5/32 of a quarter and 1/8 of a 1/4.But is of 1 inch. I don't know what I was thinking.

    Thanks for the review. From the video it seems that LT has thicker handle?

      Thank you for watching and commenting. It may seem like it. But the handle is vey close in size. Since is hand ground I assume that there is a difference. But I don't think is visible for my eyes.

    i really want a bark river but id have to learn to sharpen the convex without butchering it.. The stropping method seems easy enough. Great look knife!

    • @thecavemanknivesreview.8097
      @thecavemanknivesreview.8097  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your input. Yes. The convex is pretty hard to sharpen if is to damaged. But on a regular basis, stropping after each use should maintain a edge for a long time.

      I find them fairly easy to sharpen on Japanese water stones. I learned from Virtuovoice TH-cam channel. Use a sharpie to mark about 5mm thick line along the edge. If you practice a little, to can easily tell when you are grinding the apex by sound and feel. Since there is no small secondary bevel, it is easy to feel when you have the edge flat on the stone. Then just use a slight rocking motion as you go back and forth, hitting the edge on the trailing strokes and rolling away from the edge on the edge leading strokes. The sharpie will show you if you are hitting the edge and how far up the blade you are grinding. Hope this helps. Good luck

    Do you have the ultralite version? If so how do the handles compare. Bark river handles tend to be too thin for me.

      I only have those two. But I assume that the best fit for you is going to be the bushcrafter 2. Since the ultralite is smaller than the regular one.

    hey man, great video. theres like zero videos reviewing the LT bushcrafter, so glad u took the time to make one! btw between the original bushcrafter and the LT, which one do you like more? i have a original bushcrafter and am truing to find another bushcrafter for backup because i really love the original bushcrafter. i noticed the LT was on the market but theres zero videos comparing the two. do u think the LT is meant to replace the original?

    • @thecavemanknivesreview.8097
      @thecavemanknivesreview.8097  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for the compliment about the video. And to be honest the only thing that the LT do better than the original is the food preparation. Since is less tick, it cuts better. But I don't think that is meant to replace the original. But if you want a back up, the LT is a great option. I wouldn't mind myself using any of them.

      The Caveman Sur-bush after your feedback, i went to knivesshipfree and picked one up in maple burl handle! have it now and used it for a few days! i really like it - i was worried it was going to be too thin like a mora but it isnt, and perfroms great! beautiful knife!

      @@al0324 Now I ask you which do you prefer if you could only have one? I think 1/8" is plenty thick for strength but does the original split wood better since it's thicker? What pros & cons have you gathered so far?

    Para ser un “buschcrafter” no es nada eficiente con el ferrocerio. Es un problema habitual de muchos cuchillos, que priman la estética a la funcionalidad, convirtiendo una ventaja para la compra en un inconveniente.

    • @thecavemanknivesreview.8097
      @thecavemanknivesreview.8097  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Así mismo es. Es lo único que no me gustó de el cuchillo. No se por que razón le redondean los bordes. Un saludo.
