For anyone who loves to game but is terrible at combat like me (I am so terrible at it, constantly die) try having your base in the water. If I can't shoot them from my base I just jump in and stab them from below with the spear. Be sure to have air tanks so you don't need to surface. And be careful of the water temp at night.
Useful points here. Just a small clarification, while we wall have more charcoal than we know what to do with, its worth pointing out that you need it for the Steel Furnace, so its not totally unusable.
Type 87: Pick up by the pick up box and replace again... gates and barricates to restore the durability of it. So you dont need hammer all the time.. Only realy usefull when they very low hp
You can place fire bowls underwater and it heats the surrounding water at night time. You gotta be underwater to place it. Not sure what the heat radius is around the fire bowl but when I jumped back into the water at night after placing them, the water was still heated and I didn’t receive a freezing animation.
Dude, the revolver has about the same range with slightly higher drop as the bolt action and similar damage. It's actually ridiculously OP. The only reasons I switch to the bolt action and desert eagle are because gunpowder is better used in grenades(military ones if you have the blueprint) and have at least two boxes of rifle and pistol ammo. They really need to rebalance the weapons fast. The triple barrel is decent only as a panic gun, the homemade pistol has lower damage than a dead fish, the revolver is an endgame level gun, flintlocks are a waste of resources compared to the crossbow, semi rifles are worse bolt actions, assault rifles don't have a purpose yet considering you neither fight a lot of opponents at once or very tanky ones to justify the ammo burn.
The revolver is one of the best weapons to use all the way until you get the AK-47 due to the fact that the revolver's bullet speed is fast enough that it really seems to hitscan. The AK-47's bullet speed isn't anywhere near hitscan speed, but it's useful when the enemies rush you at medium to long range. The bullet speed of every other pistol, the shotguns, and the other rifles and SMGs seem to be on the level of DOOM imp fireballs. Hitting any moving target that isn't right in front of you is more or less impossible unless you've learned to lead targets with the invisible and slow projectiles you're shooting.
Simple tip but it's worth mentioning, the Jet ski is the perfect vehicle for wood and ore runs. It's cheap and fast, I use it often for overnight farming trips.
I run the table saws and the alarm system on the same small generator. Cut wood until you have like .10 of a gallon left , then you aren't wasting a ton of fuel and it's nice to have the alarm shut itself off immediately after alerting. I run my lights separately to the large generator.
The lights that you craft are not too bad, I don't hook up the findable/deco lights they are insanely inefficient. The nights pass quickly so I don't run the lights everynight. I think I have 6 lamp posts, 6 door sconces and 3 chandelliers? Plus the 4 search lights. I usually leave a few door sconces off because they are too bright with 2 on a door. Better to go with one over the door IMO. @@seethrew
The loot trick (leaving an item behind so that the container doesn't despawn) applies to ore as well. So, if it takes 5 hits to destroy an ore , only hit it 4 times then reload ur game and hit 4 more times... The ore stays put and you have an infinite resource - until they fix it :)
Random respawn is really handy for when you go to an island and happen to get killed. You respawn within about 30 yards and don't have to come all the way from your bed to get back.
you can also save game right before fighting, if you die. respawn anywhere and quit without saving. then start game again at your last saved spot. also causes enemies to despawn most times.
You may be be able to create a bit of a killing field to focus the enemies raid direction by building a long pier or long stairway on one side of your base. It's not perfect but it seems like they will more often attack from that side. Maybe 70% of the time if I was to guess?
Idk if you know this but you can use the mace and the combat knife to chop wood/doors/underwater related the mace makes baby trees 1 shot and big trees 4 shot and the combat knife makes the big trees 2 shot
If you're not high enough level to create a siren, just listen to the music. It changes completely when you're being attacked. And it will change back to a more pleasant sound once you've killed all the bad guys, so you know you got all of them.
The pillars needed everywhere doesn’t make sense unless it’s a massive room. Typical houses don’t have pillars all over to support the roof or higher floors. It would be a cool thing to do to just leave it how it is. Support what you want to build, build it, now it’s supported by other pieces, salvage the pillars now that it’s supported on its own.

The shotgun is great unless you are on insane mode, they will often take one to the face and then kill you because the shotgun doesn't cycle fast enough. I have used it to effectively clear 2 bases on a top down attack after scaling the side of the base but most bases it's too dangerous.
jiggle peek action ROFL. I wipe out raids in about 30 seconds. You don't even need a gun to do it. Crude grenade lobbed at them when they get in range. let them group up and throw it close. Instant kills everything close. might take 3-4 / raid but they're dead, you're not and you can go back to what you were doing in like 30 seconds
Best tio i have is keep a stack of ammo in yiur hotbar so if u die awkadly to the ai aimbotters you can fight your way to yiur gear easier than having to take more ammo with yiu
the only thing im confused with is where to find the broken bolt action rifle you got there and how to connect wires or whatever it is with rubber, like where do you link it? a generator im assuming? i have all the ammo built for the old bolt action rifle, just missing the broken piece to craft it :(
Thanks for the tips! Now I wont have to worry about wasting my resources on all the different weapons! Also the little box sirens reminds me of the stuff I used to do in Ark
I have to tell you is not that simple. Automatic weapons are so much more firepower and if you are rich ammo owner then its better way to make lot of damage.
If you haven't found it by now, when you are setting up your mouse bindings there's an "Enable Turbo" check box, it goes up to 20 clicks per second while holding the button down.
instead of using axes and spending so much time making the best axe instead use the skull crusher which can also be like a axe(cant black but who uses it anyway)and it does 98-100 damage so it can 3 shot a massive tree!
Don't know if you realize it yet, being that this video is 9 mos old, I hope that you probably do, but talking about the mouse, and as of July 2024, I can double click or at most triple click, and a whole stack moves.
You produce waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more charcoal than you'll ever need making steel. I kept making new containers to store it, then started throwing it away then ultimately as suggested found out the shop loves the stuff. If you aren't overwhelmed with charcoal you need to be cooking/smelting a lot more :P
Dude your opinion is invalid. These tips will be very beneficial for anyone playing the game, and in the end they'll make whoever listens to the tips a PRO at playing the game. Get over yourself and go play some Fortnite

I tried that last night and it didn't work, I had to move and find a node every time after loading back in and eventually nothing spawned for nodes.
Always bring your repair bench to base raids.

You really should not underestimate the shotgun, 175 damage in single shot is huge in close combat, especially in small base rooms
