    Met him long ago while serving in the US Army. The tragedy of betrayal by the USA cannot be forgotten but we will not forget what he did for the people. Beautiful song
    "A Water Lily" as well thanks for posting. RIP General Vang Pao.

    Peb Yog Hmoob...
    Peb Hmoob stick together through thick and thin and yea I would fight back but I would do it for my country and for my family & friends. Vang Pao was a great, wonderful leader and how would you know how much it hurted him to see all his people dead but he pay his respects to all those who had died for their country. We Hmoob lost the war but we still got to live here in the U.S.A and Vang Pao himself made a video on TH-cam for us to watch, and if it wasn't for Vang Pao then we wouldn't be here at all. So, be glad that your alive and loved by him because he scarface everything for our Hmoob people. So I asked you to respect our Hmoob culture and be glad that Vang Pao gave you everything. Thank you for reading tho.

    I been working with him so many years since 1992 up to 2005 and become one of his trust political advisor in general. I been propose many plans for him and he like it when you propose to him but change his mind the next day. I truely love and miss G. Vang Pao in a way but sorry to see that we fail to achieve our political goal due to his unwillingness to accept the idea of creating a Hmong State. He told me that he was old and not willing to change his political direction which I undersants.

    For those of you that are against the General, I want you to ask yourself why are you here having a better life than those back in Laos. Sometimes fate is all what we have to look forward to, in situations where we can't ask for someone else to lend a hand. For those of you that are angry at the General, you would not know what to do with a better life if it is handed to you or it is right in front of you. So please stop being so upset for there can only by obstacles if you are. We all must have the mine of a leader for us to be compassionate for our fellow Hmong in whatever corner of the world there may be Hmong. For those you of you who are Hmong but still hates Hmong, you have a delusional disorder.

    You are correct. I am ashamed that America and the CIA did this after promising to bring everyone to America. By the Yards, I meant the Montagnards that lived in the highlands of Viet Nam. We promised to bring them back also and they were left behind. I was a young US Army then but I know well what happened. Very tragic. The USA Promised so much for help but gave little in return. Even now they do not acknowledge the truth.

Vietnam was down to theirs last young soldiers. but as contracts, america sign out to be in peace and left us hanging. we die for america to survive ,we fought to save a american lives but no american will not be able to to the same for us. Not all of your information is correct. He wasn't on the first plane out and he didn't flee alone. He managed to get 1300 of his officers and their families out as well on that day alone. I don't think you could of done any better than Vang Pao. If he did stay behind, we wouldn't be having this conversation and would all be dead. Of course those hmong who sided with the phatet lao would say he's a bad guy. Stop being so bias and grow up. Greatness will be judge by the people and history, not u.

  • @ccramit
    @ccramit 11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    He got his people into a war and when it started going south, he bounced and left them all to die. Yes, to the Hmong that got out, he's a hero. But I bet if you talked to the ones still in Laos who got left behind, they wouldn't exactly have the same feelings. I don't hate the guy, I would have left as well. But don't call him 'great' or a 'hero'. It makes the real heroes look bad.

      Shut up loser..... Go research on pathet Lao before you say something stupid...pathet Lao killed their own people after they take over royal lao family, you think they will not kill Hmong people? It's bound to happen because instead of protecting the people of Laos, they end up making a deal with North Vietnamese just to take control of the throne from the Royal Lao army 😅 he didn't leave...USA are cowards that never went back for the Hmong people until they made it to Thailand, you warmongers used our people but break promise... Some loyalty you guys have.... If you tell me, Hmong people are the kindest and are the most loyal Asians 😂😅

    i don't call him a great hero because he did turn his back on some hmong who was fighting after he left. they was about to win but he turned his back on them and not to give in hands to help thats how we hmong really lost to red laos and Vietnam afterward. i call him a great leader but not a king.among us hmong peoples.
