Yep, I normally fish bloodworm and joker on the Stainy and planned to do a feature using it but due to COVID there's no b&j being brought into the country this year but there's plenty of other approaches so I'll see what can be done.

I guess on deep canals such as this one. The short line will fish quite well cos a depth? My local stretch is the broad canal and it's about 5ft down track max. Full a bream and big roach tho!
Yes it fishes ok, its better further out 11-13m, the better stamp fish won't come so close unless you have big perch in the swim which I didn't on this occasion. The broad sounds good. 🐟
Yeah that's right Dave but I don't think so, they were just being fickle I think as others experienced the same plus the stamp of fish was very small. The pike were active and the fish wouldn't settle, watch part 2. 😉 I only use no.8s and smaller to trim the float.
A smaller hook will do it, they are not taking it fully in because of the weight of the hook, i reckon? if your missing bites go smaller and it’ll be inside their mouths
Does corn not catch on the aire/calder.. mayb you can help me if you get chance.. I live near Leeds and fish aire/calder navagation at a place called hunslet.. its right at the start of the canal where the aire runs into it coming out of leeds.. anyway iv caught loads of big perch and small perch.. pike on lure, but iv not caught a course fish yet! I seen thousands of tiny tiny roach after spawning in a margin so I know there's roach at the least there. I see a lot of signs of course fish. Any tips? Will a tiny bit of corn catch skimmers.. I put worm on I catch perch 😑 trying again today for few hours on feeder.
If there's bream or big roach around, they'll take corn but it can be very selective bait so I don't tend to use it in matches where I want to catch anything. I know some lads even fish pellet on the A&C and they prebait with upto 50 balls of groundbait and get some huge catches of bream, matches don't tend to respond to those tactics with all the additional pressure on the venue but well worth a go pleasure fishing. Groundbait feeder with dead reds is a good way to catch everything on there, usually target the bottom of the far bank shelf so around 3/4 across Hope this helps and tight lines today.🎣

Maybe you have a hearing issue then because it's set 20db lower and sounds perfectly fine to me. I take great care to make sure the audio levels are appropriate.
