    EXCELLENT review!!!! I decided to look into an electric bike and this brand popped up on my Amazon searches. Your review was so thorough I really think you covered every aspect I would want to know. Thank you for this excellent review.

    Great review my man! No fast talking, down to earth, honest review is what I got. In fact, I just bought one bypassing the Lectric 2.0 and Vtuvia SF20 due to your review. Well done.

      I'm ordering one off Amazon right away. I've had my eye on this bike for a while then I watched this video and I love my e-scooter but I'm in Colorado so when starts snowing and if I need to take back packs to get around which sometimes it's faster to take a back path where electric vehicles aren't allowed I can just jump on my hey bike instead and just use the pedals. Great Review!

    >>> @ 0:20 ... THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHOWING THE HEYBIKE FOLDING PROCESS SO WELL!!!!
    😀
    For some unknown reason most videos about this E-Bike have only glossed over showing the folding process....or skipped over the topic entirely.
    🤔
    I am female and will need to fold this E-bike and lift it into an SUV .... so the detailed video explanation
    was very helpful.
    I bought the white version of this bike this summer (mostly because l thought it would be easier to spot amongst the hoards of black E-bikes l've been seeing... but the white is nice looking on this bike as well).
    BTW: I have found the "push/walk assist" pretty darned handy.... especially for us gals. Just hold down the bottom button for 3 seconds (just where you turn select 1,2, or 3)... and the bike will start pushing itself a bit to help you if you want some extra help pushing the bike up hills...or maybe up a ramp for storing the bike in a shed, garage, or VAN OR SUV. (JUST REMEMBER TO KEEP YOUR HAND GRIP TIGHT AT FIRST ON TO THE HANDLEBARS 'CAUSE WHEN THE BIKE KICKS IN TO HELP YOU PUSH AS YOU WALK BESIDE THE BIKE....THAT MOVEMENT AT FIRST IS VERY "PERKY").

    I just ordered one. It’s my first e-bike and I’m 61 and the best thing about it is the step thru. Other e-bikes have a step thru but because my knees don’t bend well it was quite difficult in some and near impossible on others.

      Now that l have my HeyBike l am getting a lot of interested people in my town (Maine) who are asking about the E-BIKE.... and many who have known me to be a devoted long-distance/fitness roadcyclist all of my adult life. I am enthusiastic about the inquiries....and l am finding BOTH bikes fit into my life seamlessly. I use the road bike for intense training rides....but use the E-bike fore jaunts around town, running errands, and "joy rides" in nature. My Ranger E-bike puts a smile on my face!!!! 😀

    Great review. Love this bike. Can’t decide whether the Ranger is worth the extra money or if I should just go with the Mars, which if more then adequate.

    • @Chris-ic6bp
      @Chris-ic6bp 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Long-term endurance road cyclist and off-road rider here. IMO... the Mars may actually have an advantage with that top bar on the frame providing some extra stability on off-road riding. The trade-off of the convenience of the step-through advantage of the Ranger would be a no-go for me if most of my riding was involving a lot of stops and starts, and a lot of city cycling.
      Back when l was young... bikes with a top bar were called "boys bikes".... and the step-through frames were called "girls bikes". Nomenclature changes over the years!!! 😆
      Personally: l don't think l ever did ride a bike wearing a dress back then. :D
      .

    Ranger or lectric 3.0? Ranger I like better bc does not have the brake problems the lectric has. Also no spokes which can be a problem. Also good location for the battery. It's worth paying an extra 2 or 3 hundred . What you say?

    Not sure if they are the same key, but my Heybike Mars has two extra keys. The key is a 1642 ILCO blank. Heybike does not sell keys, so a real locksmith can cut a new key with that blank. You can buy the blanks on line if your locksmith does not carry that blank. Bring the battery to make sure it works !

    • @Chris-ic6bp
      @Chris-ic6bp ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lucky you!!! I only got one key with my bike (l ordered direct from the company).
      I had to go to my small town's hardware store to get a couple of extra keys made. The hardware store did not have key blanks that were specific to this bike....so we tried to make two keys from blanks that they had in stocks. One works great on one side... the other won't work at all.
      The e-bike company did not respond to my inquiry at all.
      SUMMARY: I AM HOLDING ON TO THE ORIGINAL KEY FROM THE COMPANY FOR DEAR LIFE.

    I got the ranger I am going to mod it to a point change bars and stem and riser change seat change motor next yr need more speed out of it it is a dog at 500watts. Might add another battery on back rack the bars i am putting on are going to be BMX bars with a 9 inch rise. tires and tubes are good quality. Might change pedals to the wide anodized one. Mainly use this one for off road as I got a aerial rider x52 for on road.

    With this bike and the display computer does the odometer stay permanent? Or does it reset each time you do a separate ride? Thanks. Good review

    • @Chris-ic6bp
      @Chris-ic6bp ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The odometer on my HeyBike remains continuous...and it logs in your miles until you re-set it back to zero.
      If l want to make a note of the miles l have ridden on a given day l have to reset to zero before l start the ride....OR Make a note of the pre-existing miles already on my odometer....and do the math at the end of the ride.
      As l HATE math 😆... l also sometimes use an old roadbike computer to avoid headaches from "doing math n' stuff".

  • @Channel323
    @Channel323 ปีที่แล้ว

    3:31 Its dope that the battery has a usb, but you would need a long cord to charge your phone on the go or charge it while you are resting. It would have been better if the usb was some where on the handle bars or something like that, but to have it on the batter under your seat, not really a good design idea, but thats me, great bike overall though.

    I cannot find anything anywhere about the Heybike Ranger having Cruise Control? Every other e-bike either has cruise conrol via pushing and holding a certain control button, or simply by maintaining the same speed for 8 seconds and then it activates cruise control automatically. Weir that nowhere in the owners manual or any revie videos anyone is mentioning anything about it. Is it really possible this e-bike doesn't have it? Thx
