In this video we show you how to make a basic balm, perfect for adding and locking in extra moisture to your skin. Plus, we show you how to use Carnauba Wax as a replacement for Beeswax.
What You Need:
1 oz Carnuba Wax
2 oz Shea or Mango Butter
2 oz Jojoba or Apricot Oil
Optional: 18 drops of EO of choice

Many of our customers enjoy using carnauba wax as a vegan wax in place of beeswax. When substituting in recipes, they tell us it typically works well if used in half the amount of beeswax. It seems like a popular addition to many hair products for its holding properties!

Hi Angel, carnauba wax is very hard and the balms from this recipe also turn out pretty hard. You could try using less of it but I am not sure of an exact ratio. A softer wax like beeswax might give you better results when trying to create a balm that can be whipped.

Hi Alex, we have not tested out candelilla wax in this formula, however we have heard from customers that it's similar to carnauba.
