Rammstein is very multilayered and it's hard to just get only one interpretation out of their songs. They provoke your brain to think and use your imagination.

(And also "Helvegen" by Wardruna) It's hitting me again today because I visited my grandparent's house for the last time because it was sold since my grandpa is going into a nursing home.
