It just felt like I was in an inescapable fever dream with horrifying, plato-esque creatures.
I really don't get why most parents acknowledge that their kids don't know any better but also don't acknowledge that limiting what they do is why they don't know any better. Like saying that over and over again when they do something wrong is not responsible and simply an excuse that says "Parenting is hard. I give up. My kids can do whatever"
For some reason i always thought it was appropriate that the last episode of Dinosaurs had something to do with a Meteor or Ice Age. At that time we all thought a Meteor was the reason they died out & the next era we knew a lot about was the Ice Age so it seemed like it fit. They're dinosaurs, they went extinct (well, some became birds, but you know.)
Finn M We think a lot of different things & nobody completely agrees. lol The meteor still played a massive role on a global level, but there are hints that volcanic activity was on the rise & the climate was already shifting quite a bit by the time they reach the K-T boundary (the sediment level found in rock all over the Earth that was created by iridium from the impact.) Several species in the Cretaceous period seem to have already gone extinct by then but the meteor just threw the great extinction into hyperdrive so to speak. It wasn't a sudden extinction either (like many thought back then), it could have taken a few thousand years or nearly a million for the impact, radiation & fallout to claim all that it did. More or less it blocked the sun which eventually killed the plants, then the animals that ate those plants slowly died out & after that the animals that ate those animals who ate the plants slowly died out as well, along with other factors contributing in additional ways added to that.
I literally ate KFC after watching that show. I watched about 4 episodes before my dad took me to KFC because we planned to go there for dinner that day.
Most of these are just moral lessons about reality and what could happen to you. Cartoons don't always need to be about the good things in life it can also be about the negative points and how you can deal with it. If kids haven't seen this they will not understand it later and think they are the only ones dealing with such negative things

XD That finale for Dinosaurs was AWESOME to me as a kid, even as horrifying as it was. I was a huge dinosaur nerd, so seeing it end realistically added a nice touch if realism to my little kid mind. I feel sorry for the actress who played the Wicked Witch, though. 😟 If I remember right, she was apparently a pretty nice person, but after she played that role, little kids were TERRIFIED of her!
I remember while watching captain planet, they talked about AIDS and how it's not spread through physical contact. I asked my dad on how it's actually spread. THEN WE HAD A LITTLE CHIT CHAT
I don't know what you people think but Thomas the tank engine is probably the weirdest idea for a kid's show... I mean just take a look at Thomas... This is what nightmares are made of...
Fun fact: If you dive deeper into the show there are actually a ton of red flags and such that make you look at the show completely differently. There are implications that the entire world outside of the general setting is in ruins and decay and things are horrible everywhere and horrible things happen to the trains at those stations. Now, if this is true, that's a pretty terrifying thought. But whats a bit more unsettling is.... what if thats their way of keeping the trains there? "You're lucky to be here," "This is a safe place," "Other places are so much worse," so that the mayor and the people can control the trains with this propaganda. There are nods and hints that allude to the station being communist and honestly some of the things from that show and the original books it was based off of are simply horrifying.

It's the same one. It has beatings, severed heads, stabbings and songs about Aztecs killing people (one of my favorites) but I'm not sure it's scarring. Probably not. Even Death as a character is pretty funny.

I don't think this is very accurate. I believe the creator of spongebob had the intention of it being for little kids AND their parents. They, or he, probably wanted a show where both parents and children could watch it. Look at Spongebob, he's the child in the show then you have Squidward who is the more serious adult like one.

XD That finale for Dinosaurs was AWESOME to me as a kid, even as horrifying as it was. I was a huge dinosaur nerd, so seeing it end realistically added a nice touch if realism to my little kid mind.
I feel sorry for the actress who played the Wicked Witch, though. 😟 If I remember right, she was apparently a pretty nice person, but after she played that role, little kids were TERRIFIED of her!

Fun fact: If you dive deeper into the show there are actually a ton of red flags and such that make you look at the show completely differently. There are implications that the entire world outside of the general setting is in ruins and decay and things are horrible everywhere and horrible things happen to the trains at those stations. Now, if this is true, that's a pretty terrifying thought. But whats a bit more unsettling is.... what if thats their way of keeping the trains there? "You're lucky to be here," "This is a safe place," "Other places are so much worse," so that the mayor and the people can control the trains with this propaganda. There are nods and hints that allude to the station being communist and honestly some of the things from that show and the original books it was based off of are simply horrifying.

It's the same one. It has beatings, severed heads, stabbings and songs about Aztecs killing people (one of my favorites) but I'm not sure it's scarring. Probably not. Even Death as a character is pretty funny.
SSSnakey yes! I actually didn’t know about Horrible Histories as a kid. But I know about it now as a friend enjoys watching it as we both like history and the humor. Surprised it’s for children though.

I don't think this is very accurate. I believe the creator of spongebob had the intention of it being for little kids AND their parents. They, or he, probably wanted a show where both parents and children could watch it. Look at Spongebob, he's the child in the show then you have Squidward who is the more serious adult like one.

I never watched sesame street, it scared me to much. One time in kindergarten, my teacher played sesame street for snack time and I cried then asked to go home. I then went home 😣😂😂😂 (it was a vampire episode, he was teaching us how to count🤣)
