Aspinall is just the man with the belt, probably won't have it in the next couple fights. So it kinda makes sense that people don't really see a "legacy" fight with him.

You're comparing a nobody that isn't even in the promotion anymore to the guy with the most titles ever won in the sport. This is ludicrous logic. All wrestlers are not the same. Jon is Greco & he absolutely dominates the clinch then drags Alex to the mat & submits him.
I like Alex & he's very skilled but that's not a competitive fight.

I remember when Jon Jones choked Lyoto Machida, and completely demolished Shogun ! Jon Jones will probably win this fight, not only does Pereira have many holes in his fighting strategy, Jones just has a most well rounded resume and strategy.
Jon doesn't do well against people his frame or bigger, if he strikes with Alex is a knockout, Jon better take it to the ground as fast as he can but honestly don't underestimate Alex ground defense
@@JuanFernandoRochaHoffman-qx5xt Jon has pretty much the longest reach in the MMA community, it took a referee to jump in for him to get close enough to find range against Jamal. If anything, Jon must also have learned lots in boxing / kickboxing by now and wrestling and is much more well rounded. Alex has not shown he has any ground game against the bigger fighters. Francis would probably knockout and out wrestle Alex.

@@JuanFernandoRochaHoffman-qx5xt He explicitly uses his reach against Light heavyweights throughout his entire championship run, and by extending even farther with his fingers, even kicks were not reaching him without an eye poke. His reach makes a huge difference against fighters. I won't be counting Jon Jones out until he's like 40 or something. If he can't beat Alex on the feet, he's taking Alex to the ground and submitting him.

Alex by KO after Jon realise Alex isn't a easy opponent like everyone is saying.
Seeing how jones did vs reyes + the fact that he is slower because heavyweight, injury and ring rust because lets be honest if alex pereira improves his takedown defence big time and can make Jon stand up a bit i feel like he can be a very bad matchup for him in that area. Pereira is one of the most accurate fighters in the ufc and Jon Jones arguably has the best defence of all time. If Pereira lacks the wrestling defence it will be one sided but if he can stop some of it then it can be very interesting.
