Bisping ducked the entire middleweight division as champion. People complain about Bones today but probably weren’t around for when Bisping made middleweight stangant when it was arguably the most stacked it had ever been.

Where's all the media who were saying that PFLator will be good for the sport & the fighters, having not thought it through but pretending they care about all that, when in reality they were pushing that narrative just bc they thought PFLator will be a thorn in UFC's backside & they jump on anything like that. When has less organisations & competition ever been good, with 2 organisations becoming one? It only seemed good to people with an underlying anti-UFC sentiment.

It's unfortunate that we didn't get to see Gegard stay in UFC & compete against the later wave of athletes & potentially challenge for the championship. He's a solid, well rounded fighter & has an entertaining humorous personality. UFC lowballed him & didn't want to pay the man his worth. I respect his decision to leave & get paid elsewhere, but as a fan of the the sport it's a bummer to wonder 'what if'.
