Oddly enough I purchased a 2007 fix cruiser that has been sitting since 2015. Has 44 hours on it and it’s getting a high temp alarm after a few min in the idle zone. No water coming out the pisser on the left side so I’ll be pulling the engine and taking the exhaust off and see what I can find as blockage
I just got done with a 2007 VX Cruiser, with only 78 hours on it. The head had to come off, the corrosion was hard as a rock and almost completely clogged the passages in the head. I resorted to a drill to break up some of the deposits. The block was slightly better, but still bad.
I have a 05 yahama vx110 sport the exhaust runs cool but the bike does not pee out the water from the side.... All the lines are clear but it does not pee it's driving me crazy I looked on line and found nutting that can help
I have a 2013 VXR that high temps warning. Looks like it's false alarm since it goes back to normal after shutting jetski off and back on. How do you test the 2 thermal sensors and thermal switch?

My Yamaha VX 1100 is running hot. when I crank it up after 30 sec. the alarm goes off. I have cleaned all the water ports and since I put it back in started it back up and again 30 sec. the alarm come on I felt of the exhaust manifold and its cold. I pulled the water line coming out of the head and water was coming out I touched the exhaust manifold again it was cold I touched on the other side after the joint and it was getting hot. the top of the head was getting warm also. any ideas.
Simple fix just take your temp sensor off put in boiling water around 180-190 the 2 wire circuit should remain open only if the circuit closes and the boiling water is under 190 then you have a bad sensor if not proceed with the testing of next temp sensor same method
That's a good idea. If it takes antifreeze same ss cars, there's a company that sells lifetime anti-corrosion antifreeze. They say it will stay good longer than any engine.
we havent made any, I am sorry. It's really pretty easy with a volt ohm meter and if you search google you should be able to find the voltage readings... 0-5 volts dc. 5 volts throttle open and less than 1 volt closed. Hope this helps.

Voodoo one, we appreciate your input but your backwards. There is no silt in our run tank HOWEVER, Lake Houston is Silt Based. Check facts on web about Lake Houston. We have GREAT SUCCESS 99.9% of the time testing ALL types of watercraft in our 23,000 gallon test tank. Though...1-2 times a year we do have a vehicle that requires lake testing. Not too bad considering last year we serviced and repaired approximately 469 watercraft of various makes, models & engine configurations.

Test tanks have no silt.
Many Lakes such as Lake Houston are Silt based.

Mine is doing to same engine and high temp light go off and turn off and wait 5 min and it’s fine . Did you ever get it fixed ?

What year is this jet ski?
any advice on 2009 kawasaki jetski stx 15 not idling right. runs great under load. dies out when throttle released.
Michael Carol Sanchez check the idle air control valve and the throttle body for gunk or carbon deposit and clean it up with throttle body cleaner

This video doesn't show any of the repair work. They put the ski in a run tank, run it for 9 minutes and call "repair worked"
