Playlist with all P Ranks: • Pizza Tower - P Ranks
Getting any rank is acquired by getting enough points in the level. You can get either a D, C, B, A, or S Rank based on your performance at the end. Getting to B isn't too difficult if you're aiming for most of the collectibles in a level, but if you want to hit S rank you will have to pull up some leg work.
To get a P Rank in a level, it is expected that you do the following things within one run of any level:
Kill an enemy before leaving the first room
Get enough points for an S Rank
Find all toppins
Find all secrets
Get the secret treasure
Go through the Lap 2 portal
Never drop your combo once
I really like how this level implements things from other levels and that instead of removing the power ups, the Priest IS the power up.
About time they did something other than *get you out of barrels.*

@@sudokuacrobatics to be fair, Gustavo WAS getting chased by a giant rat, and then threw hands with it during the entirety of floor 2, with floor 3 and 4 being where he actually starts popping in levels and helping out (excluding the fact that Gus also points during Pizza Time) also i think the priests are only there because Peppino is a man of god and they're like ''ayo we support your rampage against the Tower.'' and they help him out.

Every single enemy in this game has a sprite of them looking absolutely fuckin mortified that is used exclusively whenever Peppino is running at full speed towards them. These creatures fear Peppino. And honestly, who wouldn’t? An angry Italian is one of the most dangerous forces in this world, let alone an angry Italian that can run faster than human anatomy would physically allow.

Because of the epic cartooniness of Pizza Tower, a ghost going into an anchor to make it fall somehow feels different than just a Thwomp falling down, for example.
I like the fact that you completely ignored King Ghost trying to kill you and instead used him to get through the level like he's your sidekick.
It didn't click in my head the first time I played this level but this is basically the aftermath of pizzascape after you complete it

Just P-ranked it, and I can’t blame them, this level is so massive, there’s so many places to run around and go wild. It’s also because the combo can get hard to maintain, so it’s kind of a necessary thing
Remember when Pizzascare used to just be a "seasonal" hard mode version of Pizzascape? Those were (probably) good times.
It was fun, but I prefer the jazzed-up version a lot better since it's not mostly copy/paste.

If anyone is struggling to keep their combo to and from the secret at 1:50, skip this secret until the escape sequence starts. That way, you won’t have to worry about saving enemies to maintain your combo.

You can use A and D buttons to slow down/speed up yourself while in ball form, this way the second jump won't be a precision game but a calculated landing

I know the general consensus is that this level is hard to p-rank, and it can even be super frustating, but for me it has to be the funnest level ive ever P-ranked. I gues its mainly for the music, the general theme of the level and the pope becoming a full on exorcist(pizzorcist) but i really really loved this level. Hell the first time i p ranked it i tought it took me just 3 tries when in actually i had been doing it for like half an hour. Genuinely my favorite level overal.

Seconding this, so much. Like I guess I understand why it's seen as tough, because there's almost no room for error, but also it's not trying to throw you off with level layout or power-ups that change your movement. This level's about pure execution of skill, and it's also one of my faves as a result. Hell, I like to replay it to unwind sometimes, it's just that fun!
W take, Pizzascare is overhated
A lot of the later stages take a lot of time to P-Rank for me but there's still fun to be had with them, even with Oh Shit! or Gnome Forest with all of the annoyances I enjoyed them immensely for the most part still.
This is the first stage I tried P-Ranking that I'm just super frustrated at from the jump, one tiny mistake or one miscalibrated step and your combo's gone poof so easily
I love that Peddito and The Doise are in the background during the "weird heads" portion of the map.
Also: Holy Power of Jesus that was blisteringly fast!
The Doise will be possibly as third boss, if The Noise will be playable (maybe in Spring or Summer 2024).

This,is the best level in the game ,HANDS DOWN. I can understand the hate but damn,this is such a fantastic level.
The dificiulty is perfect for me, the music and visuals are excellent and the theme overall is pretty well executed . The ghost king is a very good gimmick , having him help you and attempting to kill you . Whule the ghost knights are annoying , they do lead to a great power up , the cross form the exorcists. Those just make you feel powerful for a short time. Overall, my absolute favourite level.12/10
Now,if i wanna say any truly hard levels , gnome forest and oh shat are actually hard as hell.

Hardest P Rank in the game?
Surprisingly, yes.
This one had very strict timing for P rank but compared to freezarator, oh shit, and gnome forest, Its such a well oiled machine of a level. its genuinely way easier to do the first secret on the way out of the level as oppossed to before pizza time starts. the only thing real difficult was after the reaching the janitor closet and running to the entrance cuz of that stupid ramp. Freezerators snowmen are some of the most obnoxious enemies, and one tiny section in gnome forest can kill your entire run if youre not absolutely perfect. Oh shit is also a nightmare at the VERY START of pizza time if you miss the cheese ball timing and dont leave an enemy to kill on the way as you roll out. Prolly top 5 funnest levels for me to p rank
@@nmi682 It was a very fun P rank yes. However gnome forest is much easier for me personally. Just L ranked it today- 10 laps+ P rank with Snick.exe following you for lap 10. Pretty fun stuff. (modded obv)
@@nmi682 I highly disagree for R-R-Freezerator and Gnome Forest, but this level and Oh Shit! are definitely the hardest - the latter not for good reason. At least this one isn't _too_ bad once you get down the stupidly tight ball sections.
@@blaz9474 in my opinion, gnome forest and this level are the hardest. Oh shit is a pretty short level, and to avoid losing a combo in the start of pizza time peppino just has to grab the cheese slime thats near the big slime

P Ranking this level is a classic torture method that always works
Its a pretty easy level to p rank not gonna lie. The only tricky part is the treasure room and it's easily circumvented.

just finished my 101% save file, and i wanted to come back here to say that i literally could not have done it without these videos, im putting this on this video because pizzascare was the last one i finished, but i did use your videos for every single level, taking tips, and copying tricks that u used. so i just wanted to say thanks, and ask if u could make videos for the lap 3's as well? might be a tall order considering how hard they are, but when i eventually get around to doing that i wouldn't prefer anyone to get a guide from but you

Pizzascare is a combination of Pizzascape and Wasteyard.
It's faster to climb the wall than to climb a ladder.
@Schrunkley evil version You dont need to kill the bats to keep the combo. If you wall run you'll get to the enemies at the top before the combo runs out
@Schrunkley evil version once you collect the pack of clocks, you can climb up then jump on the ladder, then jump on the wall again and you'll keep your combo going.
I just climb to the top with the ladders and super taunt the final bat at that part
I just super jumped and then shoulder charged once I reached the top cuz I have enough time to hit other enemies on the way out

In fact in this vid’s second lap you can see how the level naturally guides you to it.
Such clever design choices are what make PT so special
I love how this level only has 1 secret that can be done before Pizza Time, and even then it's better to wait for the escape sequence for that one as well.

I never understood why you'd climb up the ladders instead of just running up the walls. It's sooooo much easier to do that and saves time. Not to mention, the platforms in that section allow you to do that AND kill the bats to keep your combo.

despite the few absolute critical, pain-in-the-ass moments, this level genuinely might be my favorite to P rank so far, next to gnome forest. this was so fun to learn and so satisfactory at the end. loved working with the king ghost :)

Honestly, I don't get all the hate. Not that uniques of a level, but personally it's one of my top 6. P ranking it was kinda painful though, I'd always mess something up, and it would be a different thing each run.
The end before the escape is so unique that you have to remove the king ghost by taking a detour but have to go back to save him and to get into ball formation to kill the rat pin to finally start to actually escape that tower
Yeah! It’s super creative and fun and even fair during P ranks. This is why this level is better than Pizzascape imo.

I love how peppino flows between sliding, rolling and jumping off ramps, it's so smooth and really shows how tightly designed the levels are
3:39 The easier way to do this part is to crouch dash to get mach 3 then super jump to skip the ladders then shoulder bash to the right and you will have enough to time to hit the enemies that spawn to save your combo.

Every single aspect of this room is designed specifically to mess you up during the return in a P Rank Run.
This stage is overall really fun, but then I return to this room, and unspeakable Rage fill up the very core of my being.

That Ramp that will instantly end you run god help you if you don’t jump over that after getting the treasure
That one ball jump that you can’t jump too high or whoops you hit a wall restart idiot
The fact that you can accidentally pick up too many of the clocks getting to the kicker making it impossible to maintain combo after collecting treasure
Slow ass King Ghost not kicking you in time if you’re running too fast letting you fly past the kicker

I finally beat the stage after 2 hours, but I already consistently reached that spot starting at 30 minutes.
I was just breezing through the rest of the level like the uploader, could probably do it blindfolded by now, but all runs, both lap 1 and 2, just always came to an end in that room time and time again.
It's not even good design, which pisses me off about it the same way it clearly does you.
The entire room is a goddamn minefield of things that can ruin your combo and run, and it would already be annoying to navigate through if a timer and combo weren't something you have to worry about, but the fact that you do makes it a goddamn nightmare.
I think at one point I just went into automode, because I don't know what the game expects you to and learn from that room when it so unfairly ruins your run and forces you to go through the entire level that's easy by this point again, only to get another shot at it.
Literally all they had to do was place a few more points in that room and it would have been perfectly manageable.
But they just decided to starve you of any points in the most devious and evil room I ever had the displeasure of encountering.
And you have to get through it three goddamn times, into the treasure room, out of the treasure room, and goddamn lap 2.
How fucking nice of them, I really hope the devs are happy with themselves for needlessly making this room the most cruel moment in the entire game for literally no reason other than make you repeat the last 5 minutes again, when it would probably take them like a minute to fix it.
Not like they haven't done that with other levels before, like "Oh Shit!", which had more complicated adjustments than that.
But I guess they just wanted you to suffer for no reason.

I'd like to think that he's always trying to harm you but it comically helps you in some scenarios.
Make sure to leave at least one of the ghosts alive while on the way to Gerome's closet, otherwise you are more than likely to drop your combo. Trust me, I learned that one the hard way SO MANY TIMES OVER.

pizzascare could have been so much better than it is. they missed a great opportunity to bring back knight and ghost forms for the second time and combine them together
The hell are you talking about? The level is fucking amazing. It does not need the addition of a clunky gimmick when it's clever level design and challenging sections easily come together with the good gimmicks in the level to make a masterpiece.

Sometimes it does sometimes it doesn’t, I always a noticed it during my P Rank runs but I never get s glimpse of what it is because of how neck breaking fast I’m going lol
Its pizza tower guy, a secret character that appears in some levels when you are fast.
You can see it in john gutter if you are trying to do the speedrun achievement.
This map is godawful. Out of all the maps I've S Ranked so far, this one takes the cake for "small mistake = fail"

I just realized the similarities to old pizzascape.
This took me 5+ hours to P rank and i literally lost 1 run to me panicking and losing combo because i got sent back by the ball thing near the end on lap 2
The cross sound reminds me Rush hour 1 where lee enters the guy's mansion in the window part and the sneaky music plays 0:16

I always check your P-Rank videos before my own attempts, and I read a lot of comments calling this level a frustrating mess. But, to be honest, I loved it! It's a perfectly paced, high level challenge that tests your knowledge of the level's layout, the game's mechanics, and Peppino's moveset. The whole stage requires you to stay on your feet, acting in a mad dash fit for the angsty chef. Besides, isn't this the only level in which you (should) do all 3 secrets during Pizza Time? That's insane! But very exciting. In conclusion, I think this goofy, spooky level deserves a ton more love and recognition. It was a very fun P-Rank, and I had plenty of fun for the whole 3 hours it took me to get it.
Today, I wanted to get P-rank here, and... I LOST MY COMBO, WHEN TRIED TO GET TREASURE!!!

@@Laetexs I love how people can have so varied experiences in the game, for example my favorite P Rank and Level in the whole game gotta be Deep Dish 9 and once I got a comment about how a guy found it hellish, it took him 6 hours to P Rank it and I was absolutely flabbergasted since I only took like 2 o 3 tries max to get the P.
Same goes for OH SHIT! and Pizzascare, while yes some areas are FRUSTRATING and THIGHT, that’s just a tiny segment of what’s majorly such smooth and fast paced levels.
And now, I’m genuinely curious how someone can find R-R-Freezerator hard to P Rank, not trying to flame but I personally didn’t find it horrible quite on the contrary actually
