I know this video is from 2016 but my wife got me an ACE 400 (55th Anniversary Garrett kit) for my birthday back in December and I'm just starting to get out with it. I really like your videos and especially the Bible verses. A buddy of mine who got me interested in metal detecting has a Garrett AT Pro and he's helping me and he steered me to your channel. Thanks for showing the ACE 400. God Bless.
Nugget, I discovered your videos just a few days ago, and have watched dozens of them since then. I am not a Southerner, I am not a Christian, and I am not a metal detectorist, and yet I feel a real kinship with you. I feel like I am right beside you when you find parts from a Model-T or yet another Stinkin' Lincoln. Your positive nature, your enthusiasm, and your wisdom beyond your years is amazing. You truly have a joy that shines through in all these videos. You not only make me want to purchase a metal detector, but you make me feel like there is some hope and kindness in this world. I hope that life treats you well, and every moment of it is like finding another treasure.
+Jack Bouley Well said Jack, made me a little teary eyed! Nugget has charisma, enjoys teaching his viewers, and shows a great sense of responsibility. And I DID get a detector after watching his videos! Still learning ..... slowly!
The Ace 400 will be for sale to the public in April. It has a retail of $399.95, but will sale for around $340.00 at detector dealers and websites. For the price you can't beat it! It comes with the big 11 inch DD coil , control housing cover and a backpack. The machine is not underwater proof . Only the search coil can be submerged in the water. I will have more videos of using the ace 400 posted soon. Thanks
Hey bud, love this channel! Love your enthusiasm digging up all this cool old relics. It peaks my interest because I was a Combat Engineer in the US Marine Corps. I had the unique opportunity to lead Marines in route reconnaissance, demolitions, mine and countermine warfare, obstacle emplacement, breaching and construction in combat. I attended Engineer school at Camp Lejueine and trained with explosive hazard detectors. While in Aghanistan, I was attached with an Infantry battalion. Out in front providing a Safeway for the grunts to follow. The primary detector I used was the VMR-2 Minehound. As you would imagine not every target is hostile, but when lives are at risk nothing is taken lightly. I am in the market for a detector, that Garrett 400 seems real high speed! I'd like to email to get some info on how you got started and where this hobby has taken you! My email is dannerj15@yahoo.com if you have a chance away from the field! God's speed brother!
My man I always love how you quote scripture in all of your videos I used to watch other videos of people detecting but now your are the only ones I watch simply for the fact your so humble and the fact you sow your love for God in every way good bless you brother
Garrett has done it again, they've made another awesome machine. The piece of iron on the door was a latch made by a blacksmith and the tag was an Exxon tag.
Thanks again Nugget for another great video! The 400 looks like it is an amazing product and I hope to own one soon. Keep up the outstanding work my friend and God Bless!
The piece of metal on the doors an old hand wrought hasp for a padlock. It's pretty old, you might want to grab it if you get back there. The EXXO is a tag from an EXXON oil drum. Thanks for the video.
Hey nugget I just wanted to tell you how much you have inspired my grandpa and I to go out metal detector and I just want to say thank you for that we really enjoy watching your videos and going metal detecting. Keep doing what you're doing. God bless
You are a nice young man. Like watching your videos for that reason Was watching your school hunt posted 2 13 2017 and appreciate that you remind people to fill their holes. With your audience being so big, you need to take a minute and explain to people why that is important. I don't want my hobby stopped because of people not understanding the importance of that. Enjoy watching you and thanks for being such a strong spokesman for the hobby!
Hey there, just wanted to drop a comment to say I love your videos! I'm not a detector myself, but your enthusiasm for history is fantastic and keeps me coming back. Keep on keepin' on!
I LOVE TRAVELLING WITH YOU NUGGET, YOUR FINDS ARE A JOY. FROM A COMMENT HERE, UR SURELY NOT HIDING YOUR LIGHT UNDER A BUSHEL, JESUS SHINING THRU YOU. CAMILLE AUSTRALIA
When you brushed that cover on that book,,i had the biggest smile on my face.,,that one tag piece that you found, with the numbers, and letters on it ,,pretty sure that came off a carberator,,off a car or tractor,,it looks like a old mechanic used to live there.great time watchen your vids.
Thank You And Action Abby. Loves Your Videos. I Love When You Say I'll Take That Anyday. Keep Those Videos Coming. God Bless Ya'll. Greetings From Brooklyn New York. Judy
Many a valuable antique you are disregarding at this site! That Citgo sign among them! The trees growing over the metal objects are quite cool. Good photographs required, when you come across things like that! Lots of valuable stuff lying there on the surface, never mind buried in the ground! Take the stuff-it's wasting away uselessly. Grab it all and sell it all, get it back into circulation! Including all those books, and on and on!
Thanks Nugget, Your best video yet. They are an encouragement in my daily walk with the Lord and help keep me on the right track. Keep up the good work.
Glad a found you man ! These are really fun to watch and brings back so many great memorise . Going to go out and buy me a Garrett 250 in a couple weeks I think .
Thank you for another great video Michael, I was amazed with the books you found the titles fit and then the Bible, words fail me. The finds were great and your enthusiasm was great, great all round as usual. Good luck 🍀 and happy hunting Mary-Ellen UK
Jan Filbeck I agree, but you never know what animal carrying a disease could have been on it. Rats and mice have some nasty illnesses involved with them, it pays to be careful.
Howdy! Do any of y'all watch American Pickers on the History Channel? One of those guys, Frank?, loves old signs. Think he'd like that Citco sign. What I like about Nugget's videos is the smooth panning, the cool scene transitions and the fact that he doesn't bore us with unnecessary footage!
Nugget, I would love to hunt with you some day if nothing else just to see some old places you go too. That book you found about digging in the past you should have kept. I'm new to this and I bought an Garrett Ace 250. I know you have one and how does it compare to the Garrett Ace 400. I live in East Tennessee and I'm a retired Police officer and I would love to come over and hunt with you sometime. Love the video and great finds.
at 14:44 when you discover the digging yesterday book you uncovered an old wooden insulator pin to the right of the book. I noticed in one of your other videos you have a collection of old glass insulators. I just thought it would be a cool relic to keep. that particular wooden pin is one that gets nailed on at the top of a pole not set on a cross arm
Absolutely love your enthusiasm my friend. I’m waiting on the arrival of my first detector which just so happens to be a Garret Ave 400. Your vids have me really excited! Happy Hunting!
There is stuff twice that age in the top soil of my backyard in Old England, you would so love it here on the outskirts of the village there is an old iron age Celtic settlement and 2 miles the opposite direction in the landscape lies the remains of a old Norman fort settlement, most of it was robbed away and reused but metal and pottery finds are still found when near by farms are ploughed
I noticed the book in the video, digging into the past, was from a public library, it would be interesting to know the late charges incurred. I also love the way the tree molded itself into the iron.
Hey Nugget! Had a good chat with Curt Hollifield today in Kings Mountain NC. I am purchasing a Garrett AT PRO from him. He is a great guy super nice and helpful! Your videos are really entertaining. Keep it up! -Sam Fascella
Just started watching your videos a few days ago. Never thought I'd watch someone dig up stuff for hours on end. Makes me want to get into the hobby though. By the way, the triangle thing you showed at the end with the letters on it, the last letter is an N to spell "EXXON" - The oil company.

I know this is an old video for you but as a new ACE 400 user I needed to watch it. I first heard about you on a Best Of Relic Radio. It must have been great to go hunting Gold & detecting with your grandfather. I hope my Grandson will detect with me someday. He does like to use the Pinpointer. He’s 7 now and we do a lot together. I also just picked up a Nokta Simplex Plus. Haven’t had a chance to even try it yet. Take care. Dave in PA
You have such wonderful old buildings out East in the older portions of the woods. How thrilling it must be...I wondered if the Garret 400 was a good choice. Thank-you for high lighting it. Nice little Bible, reminds me of the ones they used to give to the GI's once upon a time. Rev 14:12 Take care now.
I like the new 400 features. I received the announcement email from Garrett a week or so ago and I was impressed with it. The price is the key though, I hope they release that info soon. Have a good one brother.

Hi Nugget, That little N.T. Bible you found was given away to high school graduates by the Guideons. I still have mine from 1963!
I'm glad you're using the Ace 400. That is what I bought to start out with. Glad to see how good it is working.
My man I always love how you quote scripture in all of your videos I used to watch other videos of people detecting but now your are the only ones I watch simply for the fact your so humble and the fact you sow your love for God in every way good bless you brother
The bible was the best find. God bless you and keep you safe on your explorations.

The Ace 400 looks like a very nice addition to the Garrett line. Nice hunt also.

Awesome video Nugget. Garrett ACE 400 is my next MD.
I would've loved to take home some of those books...
I was thinking the same thing!
That "metal thing" at 18:47 looks like part of barns lock. It looks fancy. Variations of it are still wildly used.
Another great adventure! Thanks for taking us along!
Hey nugget miss the tunes from your older videos! Keep up the great work supporting our passion- MINELAB xterra master.
I love to watch your videos they are so cool and interesting

+M Johnson Funny where he's going thru the books and said "Glad I got my gloves on, these are pretty dirty."
Jan Filbeck I agree, but you never know what animal carrying a disease could have been on it. Rats and mice have some nasty illnesses involved with them, it pays to be careful.
Hi, M! My mind was in the gutter .... dirty books, get it!
Jan Filbeck I get it lol 😁 I think the jokes on me 😊
That's a log cabin in there, by the looks of it. That was a hand wrought hasp you had in your hand, to lock the door.
Looks like a great addition to the Garrett line, very nice.
LOL killin it! "diggin into yesterday" nice.
Nice find on the abandoned house, that one book seems really interesting I would've take it.
God, I love these videos. I hope you have as much fun hunt'n and dig'n as I do watch'n.

Just bought my first Garret, a Ace 400. Thanks for this video

Hope you get to go back soon. That is a door latch, that you found. It looks hand forged. Pretty nice new tool.
That was really cool when you found the book titled Digging into Yesterday. Keep up the good work.

Great video I only found your channel a few weeks back and have watched every video you've put up
Awesome hunt Nugget! Love the Bible. God Bless!
Just started watching your videos a few days ago. Never thought I'd watch someone dig up stuff for hours on end. Makes me want to get into the hobby though. By the way, the triangle thing you showed at the end with the letters on it, the last letter is an N to spell "EXXON" - The oil company.
Nice job on that demo Michael. That was a crazy good spot to use it on.
Sometimes if you stare at the ground long enough you'll see something....;) love it lol!
Nice digs ! The Ace 400 is some silver machine HH ! GL
Nugget ones again im loving the videos , when you found the book "Digging in the yesterday" I laughed how you ton went from calm to O DAYM THIS BOOK IS ME! :D xD keep up the content man :)
Dude, your videos are awesome. You have inspired me.
Sweet video and demo of the 400 Nugget, I bought a 350 for my Son and he loves it, now my Daughter is bugging me for a machine. I like that it has a TID, but more importantly, it sounds like it has a faster response to targets than the 350. The 350 is so slow and sluggish when it sounds off.
We had those Child World books as children. I would love to have those, especially the blue one with the nursery rhymes and poems in it. I still remember the Woodpecker one my Dad would read to us. The Woodpecker pecked out a little round hole and made him a house in a telephone pole, one day when I asked, he poked out his head and he had on a hood and a collar of red. When the streams of rain pour out of the sky and sparkles of lightening go flashing by, when the big big wheels of thunder roll...he can snuggle back in that telephone pole. My Dad would sort of sing that last verse in a deep voice and poke us to make us giggle. Still hoping to get a detector one day soon.
Great silvers! I really like your style so keep it up!
Greetings, Martin
Great Video, I didnt know Garrett would come out with another Ace....pretty cool to see it in action. I still use my Ace250 from time to time however I prefer the AT Gold.
Nice finds . I'm thinking about getting that Garrett model soon
Thanks so much for the review. looks it will give the AT Pro, a run for the money. Again Thank you.
Wooo Sterling!! Stoked for your new videos.... You should consider doing a live feed, via Facebook
Good vid, love old abandoned places, we don't have them in England like you do over there though. Might have to invest in the 400, looks good. Im only using the 150 at the mo for beach combing.
Nuggetnoggin, I sure enjoy your videos. Out of all the metal dector videos I been watching. You are my favorite. ( The ones that pushed dislike, it is a shame. There is nothing in the video that is negative ) Keep up the good work and videos young man ! ;o)
I would love to go to some of the places you go, so interesting...nice vidio as always...

That place is amazing. I would love to find a old house like that.
I really like your videos. I just ordered a ACE 400. this will be my first real detector.
I have had fun withe a Radio Shack kids one but it was just time to upgrade. love your short talks on the bible. keep it up.
Take care. Dave in PA
Glad you found this video! Good luck, I hope you find a lot of cool stuff. Happy Hunting!
Wow! Really amazing stuff!
There is a blue tin container on the shelf in that out building. I'd love to see what's inside that! That does seem to be a great detector there!
Thanks so much for the video nugget!
Are you planning on going back to this place? would love to see more of it.
some of those old books might be very valuable...not trash, for sure
great finds ,thanks for sharing
