I just put these on my DX. There was some questions about whether it would fit with my Perun tail rack. It took some McGuyvering but i made it work by mounting the tabs of the pannier racks outboard of the Perun mounting tabs. This makes the racks sit abut 1” wider so the rear cross piece just needed a couple spacers and longer bolts. Overall the rack is very solid and at only 8 pounds not too heavy. I’ll be running Giant Loop Motortrek bags on the bike which combined with the racks should be about the same weight as a Mosko Moto Reckless 80L set up.
@@newenglandscrambler2262 Perun Moto makes a version 2 of their rack for the DesertX which does not require spacers. If you buy one make sure it's a V2 and you're life will be easier.
@@superflycatchermtb yep. I had v1 0 since it first came out and then upgraded to 2.0 with the new side pieces last month. I absolutely love the side carriers with the Mosko Moto 4L aux pox.
I just installed these. It is CRITICAL that you keep all the bolts barely threaded on as you put the side racks on and then tighten the bolts a little bit at a time to bring things in at the same time. It will look at though things don't line up correctly at first glance. Leave everything barely threaded and you will be good to go.

@@Outbackmotortek that's disappointing, I've been waiting since the last info received to buy. While I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I find nothing less aesthetically pleasing than offset panniers sticking out different lengths on a motorcycle. Additionally the extra space created on the non-exhuast side of a symmetric rack is an awesome place for mounting a tool box holder of some kind on the inside of a mosko wedge.
So I’m not very impressed by this, I’m trying to get a solution from Outback Mototek but is proving to be time consuming and not very helpful! Upon watching this video I ordered the racks for the desert X, so according to this video the racks are symmetrical and production versions will have tabs up the sides - NOT TRUE - I received asymmetrical racks with only tabs top and bottom (desert x rack is the only rack in their range not to have the tabs on the sides as well). And I’m quit inquisitive to see how one will install a toolbox on the inside of the X-frame with a bag on the outside of the asymmetrical version as there’s no space for the swing arm to move up and down if a toolbox / rotopax is in there!!

The website you purchased the product from clearly shows that you bought what we advertised: the photos match the pannier racks with the top brackets only and it’s also clearly mentioned on the product page as well as on your order summary that you bought asymmetrical pannier racks. We’re sorry that you somehow missed all these details, but if you’re not happy with your purchase you can ask for a refund.

When will I be able to get the pannier racks in Canada ? Canadian distributors said they have no ETA. Thanks
