The grocery store was out of all flour yesterday so I'll try again today. Thank you so much for sharing! You two stay safe as well!

Kirsten I probably should have adjusted the other ingredients but I just substituted gluten free flour in a recipe for bread. I’ll try to find a better recipe. And I’ll definitely try your recipe for sponge cake!
My Mom made all the curtains for our house in Germany, she is a true gem, in fact my parents are such darlings, I really miss them especially now. Wonderful when you can sew, sadly I have no talent for it.

Love curtains. I sew as well, and made kitchen curtains from vintage fabric found at country fair. Has Tea cups as part of print. Green gingham so classic. I've always loved that shade if green so calming. Made scones yesterday, and soaked the raisins in rum. My husband and I home as well. Video chat our daughter and son in law in Germany. It was originally a French pudding 'Poudin a la chanceliere'. As in Chancellors pudding and then become Cabinet pudding, as I suppose the greedy old chancellor couldn't keep it all to himself and had to share it with the Cabinet 😊. Think we might try this soon it looks lovely and filling.

It’s probably called Cabinet Pudding because it was a way to use up leftover ingredients sitting in the cabinet/larder. It looks delicious. Thanks so much! It seems that the cabinet pudding has a political reference but they don't really know how. The sponge has eggs though. I don't drink any alcohol at all but I'm okay with it in dessert (maybe twice a year) - I could image that maybe apple juice works. Be safe as well.

It’s probably called Cabinet Pudding because it was a way to use up leftover ingredients sitting in the cabinet/larder. It looks delicious. I’ll be spending my quarantined time at home doing what I love the most, cooking and baking. Your home looks beautiful and so peaceful and a wonderful place to be isolated in. Be well you two! ❤️

It looks lovely! Thank you so much for sharing. I think it may be called cabinet pudding because all the items would be found in the cabinets with no need of refrigerated items like milk and eggs. I do not drink alcohol, I will have to think what to substitute. May God bless you with good health!
Thanks so much! It seems that the cabinet pudding has a political reference but they don't really know how. The sponge has eggs though. I don't drink any alcohol at all but I'm okay with it in dessert (maybe twice a year) - I could image that maybe apple juice works. Be safe as well.

We might be going out for a walk on Sunday (just the 2 of us where nobody else is) to get some fresh air, nothing else though. No social contacts.
