The best part of this scene is that this is the only time that will is rambling and tongue tied in the entire show. His character is always so refined and sure of himself and she has him stuttering like Walt jr.

I love this scene! Totally Will/Mac. "Took you long enough." "Seriously? That's what you're ...." "Shut it." Love how she kisses him in that moment and they end up against the wall. Fans had waited for their reunion and this scene was well worth it.
This may be my fav "they're finally together" couple. The brilliant writing of Sorkin and awesome acting of Daniels n McKinnon make it that much more special.

Brilliant acting Great writing. The talent that worked on this show between acting and writing was astronomical and I really want to see more Aaron Sorkin and Jeff Daniels

I love this line.... so often in life the only thing thats in the way of feeling happy is yourself. To quote another great show "Grow up, and get over it." So many of life's "problems" can be solved this way.
That sounds like some wishy-washy toxic positivity. The kind of thing a bully says to their victim, "Grow up and get over it". Mac cheated on Will, betrayed his trust. In a TeeVee fantasy world they make up and get married. In the real world, only fools and weaklings take back a cheater. Some things can never be fixed.
@@DrownedInExile Or, the world is larger than your own experiences and in lots of scenarios, people can recover from things like cheating. Sorry your life has been negative, but not everyone's is bud.
@@KS-xk2so If you really believe that, than you are woefully, hilariously, fooling yourself. Cheaters are not nice or good people. Taking one back just advertises to the world, that you are completely toothless. You can be betrayed without consequences.
@@DrownedInExile again, the world exists outside your view bud. There are millions of different scenarios that can occur. To just broadly and blatantly decide what you say is always correct is absurdly arrogant.
@@KS-xk2so I'm just going to leave you with this. Flip the script. Imagine if Will was the one who cheated on Mac. But she ends up begging to marry him, saying she'll never hurt him, all the same platitudes. Would you still find that inspiring? I think we both know the answer to that.

Most confusing couple ever. On one hand shes great in terms of personality, but on the other hand she cheated on and lied to Will for 4 months which makes her a bitch. I would never be able to trust her again cause in real life once a cheater always a cheater

How to cheat on a guy and get him to chase after and propose marriage. Way to go MacKenzie Morgan McHale-soon to be McAvoy. I would probably do the same if I was Will. Mac is HOT!
Great show but they killed all respect for Will when he got back with a cheater, don't let your heart get in the way of your head.

I think this relationship is realistic. She cheated on him for 4 months and he reacted reasonably, no relationship for 6 years which means he has strong pride but in the end he is lonely and pitiful so the only way he can get any happiness is with her. I would prefer if he could connect with someone who isnt a cheating whore but if she is the best he can do then his happiness will never come if he doesnt settle for her.

Nah he had relationships since her but he was always in love with her.
It’s so weird to me that people are so critical of Mac for cheating (6 years ago I might add), but don’t say anything about Jim kissing Maggie while dating Lisa. Mac ihas many flaws, like most humans- including Will, but I don’t think it’s fair to say she is a cheating whore or that he settled for her. At every turn she stood by him, loyal and accepting of every lashing he gave out. I think she was extremely graceful under the circumstances and had a lot of integrity. Hell, she was willing to ruin her reputation when she first started and be labeled a cheater to save his reputation. A reputation, I might add, that earned all on his own because he treated others poorly because he was cheated on years ago and thought that earned him the right to be a scared asshole, desperate to be loved by strangers. I love Will and Mac. I think they are deeply complex and flawed, but they are always striving to do better. Which in the ends makes them deserving of each other.

There was a time long ago when I cheered Will & Mac on. Now, nope. I know it's just a TV show, but come on. She cheated on him for an extended period. Cheating is not a mistake, it's a choice and a betrayal of trust. Think about how many decisions, how many lies someone tells before they end up in bed with an illicit lover. How could anyone ever trust someone like that? Nope, once trust is gone you can never get it back. Forgiveness is one thing, but only fools and doormats take back a cheater.
Realizing after 6 years there was nobody else for him that she was the one and that she ended up back in his life for a reason I agree with your sentiment but how it’s presented in the show would appear these two are perfect for each other and that he was after so many years able to forgive and move forward with the love of his life
