I bought 14 plastic Itso cubes at Target eleven years ago. They are 13 3/8'' on the inside. They are very versatile as I can stack them however I want. Right now I have three wide and four tall for a hotel and two side-by-side for a small grocery. I can stick different wall coverings, flooring, or backdrops in them. I've been having a blast with them for over a decade.
That’s awesome! I just reclaimed the Itso cubes from my kid & repurposed them into doll rooms, securing them with zip ties from Dollar Tree. So far 4 high & 2 wide but you’ve given me idea to rearrange them 🤔😄
@@rhettthompson1722 You're gonna have so much fun with them. I've had apartments with bedroom, kitchen, and living room, and on the ground floor I've had a laundromat, a coffee shop, a tea room, a boutique. I just keep switching things out. I never get tired of their versatility.

Very cool rooms and affordable too! Oh, I had an idea: If you glue some dangly type beads/sparkly gems from the sides of the lights you put up... it could look like fancy chandeliers!
This was the option that I was hoping for. I know wood costs more, but it's durable and is sturdy. I'll for sure give this a shot.

If you can mix a little corn starch into milky acrylic paint, it makes it much brighter and more opaque!

If you add a little cornstarch to that white paint it will be opaque. Works on color as well.
I build doll rooms for my scenes too! I really enjoy watching your videos. Our dollar tree doesn't have any of the more than $1.25 items yet. I have yet to see one of those new dollar trees.

Hi there, I love your videos - don't throw out that acrylic paint just yet - add a touch of cornstarch and it will become a little more opaque (just add it slowly) :)

Love your stackable house :) Wish they would sell these wooden panels so cheap here....Here they cost around 20 euro's a piece :( I build my Barbie room-boxes from old wooden A4 or A3 photo lists as the floor(after removing the glass and filling it up with carton, wood-filler etc and cover with pop- sicles etc) and MDF that I have to cut myself.
