5 years in and I'm still hooked on Synthwave. Such an awesome genre. It captures 80s feel and mixes it with the experience that I get when I sit on the beach sand on a warm summer's evening. Songs like this capture that warmth, makes me feel relaxed and hopeful. Love it, especially when I'm driving. May not be an 80s kid, but damn I'm happy I had a chance to experience the next best thing.

this might sound cliche & cheesy but I'm going to confess that HOME has saved my life. just like many others here, I'm sure their first introduction to this artist was through his most well known hit "resonance" i remember seeing it on my home page back in the summer of 2017. the thumbnail immediately grabbed my attention so I decided to give it a listen out of curiosity and my god it sounds just like the background artwork.. so spacey & magical, almost soothing dream-like sound! I was instantly hooked the moment I started listening to it. i would often play it on loop whenever I'm daydreaming or imagining things in my head. that's how great & addictive his music was. needless to say, that track alone was enough to give me the motivation to explore much of his works through playlists & ultimately, albums during my extreme chronically online phase on TH-cam. His music is incredibly rich & textured. the way he utilizes beats, samples, synths and effects to create a specific mood & style is just phenomenal. its also great learning that most of his influences comes from various musical sources during the 80s, 70s & 90s which made me love his music even more since I have grew up being familiar with various popular genres from each period like disco, funk, synthpop, new wave, hiphop, eurodance & house music I occasionally heard in the radio or through compilation CD mixes as a child. really felt like it open up a whole new world for me since it has been my gateway or reference point to a lot of rhythmic/beat driven ambient tunes & laid-back electronic music since then that sense of wonder you get when you discover a genre for the 1st time to which you have personally never heard of & something you wouldn't normally seek out yet also feels very familiar or evokes a particular emotional response like synthwave/chillwave is so special & refreshing to me. since that was also a time when i listening to a lot of alternative rock, hard rock and nu-metal songs (namely, Three Days Grace, Slipknot, Disturbed & Skillet) I have discovered through amvs or tributes of extinct & prehistoric animals 😅 before transitioning to niche or less mainstream styles of pop music I also enjoyed like city pop (Makoto Matsushita) & alt hiphop/rnb (Tyler the creator) I also started to appreciate ambient music from various anime soundtracks (mainly Berserk & JJBA) which also revived my love of classical tunes again due to a nostalgic childhood memory I had of watching a favorite cartoon like little einsteins which often featured classical works & composers. Bach & Tschaikovsky being my favourites since i hear their works very often from various media sources 😊

To be frank, this has to be one of my favorites by HOME. Its uplifting and has a wonderful beat, it just makes me want to go the extra mile on whatever it is I'm doing. I'm so glad my brother introduced me to them via Resonance, give me a whole new genre to listen to while doing work.

I live on Long Island, and there’s this idyllic road all the way south by jones beach. It’s perfectly straight for miles and miles, as it runs along the coast across the Atlantic, surrounded by water. Every sunrise is perfectly set right on the center of the road, it’s as if you’re driving towards the vibrant pink purple sky itself. It’s literally those vapor wave animations in real life. I’d drive down the road early morning 4-5am, empty with no traffic, no police speeding down listening to this.
REQUIRMENTS FOR THIS SONG: headphones or speakers, loop it, tell your friends about it and NO criticism for the creator HOME. With all these requirments you should be able to have a good time and feel young again.
There's something so comforting about seeing how other people love this song and get strong feelings from it as well. Even if they are all from like 3 years ago lol.

Once a friend and I went on a night drive. I hadn’t seen him for a long time before that. We drove for hours, and spent that time talking and getting to know each other again. This was one of the first songs he played. It described that night so perfectly- the realization of time missed with one another, yet at the same instant, the beauty of seeing each other after so long. I finally found it
I remember this song. From the moment it came out. Loved it even now I’ll still always love it. I don’t do much wish I commented on the video before it blew up part of me does but it is what it is. But man this songs brings back so many memories.

There is something about Home that is seriously unique to them.
this might sound cliche & cheesy but I'm going to confess that HOME has saved my life. just like many others here, I'm sure their first introduction to this artist was through his most well known hit "resonance"
i remember seeing it on my home page back in the summer of 2017. the thumbnail immediately grabbed my attention so I decided to give it a listen out of curiosity and my god it sounds just like the background artwork.. so spacey & magical, almost soothing dream-like sound! I was instantly hooked the moment I started listening to it.
i would often play it on loop whenever I'm daydreaming or imagining things in my head. that's how great & addictive his music was.
needless to say, that track alone was enough to give me the motivation to explore much of his works through playlists & ultimately, albums during my extreme chronically online phase on TH-cam. His music is incredibly rich & textured. the way he utilizes beats, samples, synths and effects to create a specific mood & style is just phenomenal. its also great learning that most of his influences comes from various musical sources during the 80s, 70s & 90s which made me love his music even more since I have grew up being familiar with various popular genres from each period like disco, funk, synthpop, new wave, hiphop, eurodance & house music I occasionally heard in the radio or through compilation CD mixes as a child.
really felt like it open up a whole new world for me since it has been my gateway or reference point to a lot of rhythmic/beat driven ambient tunes & laid-back electronic music since then
that sense of wonder you get when you discover a genre for the 1st time to which you have personally never heard of & something you wouldn't normally seek out yet also feels very familiar or evokes a particular emotional response like synthwave/chillwave is so special & refreshing to me. since that was also a time when i listening to a lot of alternative rock, hard rock and nu-metal songs (namely, Three Days Grace, Slipknot, Disturbed & Skillet) I have discovered through amvs or tributes of extinct & prehistoric animals 😅 before transitioning to niche or less mainstream styles of pop music I also enjoyed like city pop (Makoto Matsushita) & alt hiphop/rnb (Tyler the creator)
I also started to appreciate ambient music from various anime soundtracks (mainly Berserk & JJBA) which also revived my love of classical tunes again due to a nostalgic childhood memory I had of watching a favorite cartoon like little einsteins which often featured classical works & composers. Bach & Tschaikovsky being my favourites since i hear their works very often from various media sources 😊
I love Home because even as a 2000s kid these songs make me feel like I’ve lived and am looking back on the 80s and 90s.
This is the kind of music we need a 10 hours version. SERIOUSLY!

To be frank, this has to be one of my favorites by HOME. Its uplifting and has a wonderful beat, it just makes me want to go the extra mile on whatever it is I'm doing. I'm so glad my brother introduced me to them via Resonance, give me a whole new genre to listen to while doing work.

I live on Long Island, and there’s this idyllic road all the way south by jones beach. It’s perfectly straight for miles and miles, as it runs along the coast across the Atlantic, surrounded by water. Every sunrise is perfectly set right on the center of the road, it’s as if you’re driving towards the vibrant pink purple sky itself. It’s literally those vapor wave animations in real life. I’d drive down the road early morning 4-5am, empty with no traffic, no police speeding down listening to this.
